Any way to check when you started and shut down

Just wanted to know if it was possible to know when you shut down windows and started it.

1. Open your command prompt by going to Start > Run and typing "cmd" without the quotes.

2. Type at the prompt, again without quotes, "net statistics workstation" and hit enter.

3. The first information you see will tell you how long the computer has been on.
