Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 24, 2003 Hi Jacob-I believe I have bad news for you due to excessive cancellations we are not going to go to CZW's Death Match Tournament this weekend-I have tried everything to get more people to go but alas you three are all that is left-Please e-mail me your address so I can send you back all of your money-I am truly sorry for cancelling as we don't usually do that even when last minute drop outs cause us to lose money. I'm gonna try and get onto the NY bus trip, but the odds of me a) getting on it and b) even being able to make it down to NY are slim to none. I can't drive myself down, since I HAVE to be at work Sunday night. It's not even an option; I miss work, I lose over 500 bucks, no joke. God I'm pissed. I was so fucking psyched for the show, I emailed Dames this MASSIVE TOD Review/TOD Preview for the site (over 25 pages) to get others psyched, it was going to be THE highlight of my summer, and now nothing. Sure, I'll buy the video tape, but I was going to buy that anyway. It won't match the experience of being there with hundreds of fellow bloodmarks. However, I looked at the specs for the trip, and it'd be over 6 hours for me to get down to NY, then whatever for the trip from NY to Dover. 5 hours for the event (4 for the show, since it'll start at 5 with a 4 p.m. bell time), then repeat the two drives. I'd get home sometime early Sunday afternoon most likely, which would leave me with little time to sleep before work at 6 p.m. that night. And like I've said before, I can't miss work, it's not an option. So, the one thing I was looking forward to this summer, I can't go to. I'll be here Saturday, posting the results. I'll also be stabbing myself in the forehead with a screwdriver, trying to capture the feeling of being there, but it won't be the same. Hug Necro for me, will ya Merlin? Apparently, their bus broke down and can't make it to TOD2. EMAX and some others are trying to get a Greyhound, but the show will be half over before they can get down, if they get down at all. So, TOD2 just lost 50 people for their crowd. Wow. Just wow. I could have been fucked over on two separate buses.
