ESPN - Kobe buys his wife a $4 million ring

I don't generally watch ESPN because,well, I don't like them mostly. But since it happens to be on while I'm on the computer......

 

That little 30 in 30 or whatever it's called...the 30 second recap at the end of Sportscenter......apparently Kobe buying his wife a ring is one of the top sports stories of yesterday. According to them anyway.

 

You're really stretching it there guys. But at least you've retained your credibility with me. It remains very low.

It's a slow time in sports apparently.

 

ESPN for Sportscenter at 6 yesterday ran feel-good stories, like looking at some football player's cars, and a bunch of video packages.

Hopefully MLB's trading deadline will provide news. If all else fails, Yankees-Red Sox series starts tonight. There's no better cure for lack of sports news than actual sports!

I'm saddened everytime something that has nothing to do with playing a sport is a sports news story. This entire Kobe thing is only worthwile if it has an effect on his game, if not congrats on wasting the time of millions.
