Anyway one remember this match?  I just saw it on the comp tape that I'm reviewing (Part 1 can be found in the SmarK's Krew folder).  It was so werid seeing a 35+ minute match on TV.  They only took one commercial break, but sadly Sid crashed the party and got Sting counted out.  The really sad thing is that the WWF could do this today, they have plenty of TV time and plenty of wrestlers who could last that long.  Unfortunately Crash TV lives on.  No matter what anyone says about WCW from 1993 they had some pretty damn good wrestling.  Although, their booking was very fucked up, but that is expected from Bischoff.

I remember that match. Since it happened on the first week I got cable. It was very good too. I remember wanting Sting to win bad. Sid got involved and cost Sting the match. WCW Saturday Night also had a Flair/Steamboat 40 minute match 8 months later.

Back then, WCW Saturday night was such a great show. It's a shame that WCW ruined in the late 90's. Does anyone remember when they did those 2 out of 3 fall matches? I remember one time they had a match like that with, Stunning Steve Austin VS Barry Windham. Thats when Austin was the TV champion. Anyway, I believe Windham went on to win the match and the title..... holding it for a few weeks, until he lost it back to Austin.

I don't remember what Clash number it was, but it happened after the Clash in August 1993.

I used to love Sat. Night.  I remember that Windham/Austin match.  I marked out when Barry won the title, as I had become a pretty big Windham fan in 91-92 for some reason.

The match took place the Saturday after Clash 24, which was on a Wednesday.  Afte watching the match again I've came to the conclusion that it's not as good as I originally thought it was.  Sting no-sold most of Flair's chops and used the Millitary Press Slam 6 times in the match.  Sting didn't have very much variety in his offense and  A LOT of the match was stalling.  Anyway, since I was reviewing that tape, I rated the match ***1/2.  The lame finish didn't help much either.

I saw that match the original time but I would like to see it again because I barely remember it.It was almost 9 years ago now,so I would like to see if it was really that good or was just good for that time.

Thanks.

Hey RetroRob215, what is the quality of the tape you have? Is the seller a good person to buy from? And does that seller live in the U.S.?

I think the quality of the tape is good.  The sound is kind of low, so you just have to make your TV louder.  The video is very good considering the footage is at least second gen.  It only gets shaky during one or two of the interviews, so that's not a big deal.  I buy all of my tapes from him because his prices are pretty good and he has a ton of cool/rare stuff.  Plus he used to have a Public Access show in my area where he would air Indy and Puro matches.  He lives in Virgina, shipments takes about 2 weeks usually, the longest one took for me was 2 and 1/2 weeks.
