Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Here's the "backstory" as it were...Over on another message board, a few friends and myself started a fantasy booking league...We each started a company at the national level, dividing the country up into territories and taking a part...I took the East Coast and named my company The X...We then did a draft, allowing each company to have up to 40 wrestlers and/or talents...Technically I shouldn't be talking in the past tense as this fantasy league IS still alive and well on the other message board, I just really want some feedback on my shows and don't get much of it over there...So I figured I would post my shows here...I write a weekly show, currently up to my ninth...I will post all of my old shows and update this weekly with the new shows... If you have any thoughts, positive or negative, on my shows I ask...nay, I beg you to please share them here in this thread...As a writer I thrive on feedback and am always willing to give feedback to people as well... Note that this ISN'T simulated using EWR or any other sim...This is just about the booking... Thanks...
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT May 27, 2003 Joey Styles welcomes us to the first episode of X Entertainment! As Styles speaks, a Rudy Gulliani look alike walks down to the ring. He takes out a microphone from his back pocket. The Gulliani look alike welcomes everybody to The X and the first episode of X Entertainment! Being here in New York City, the owners thought it would be a good idea to have the Mayor of New York welcome everybody to the first show. But Bloomberg was busy. So they wanted to have the former Mayor of New York welcome everybody to the show. But Gulliani is on his honeymoon doing things you only thought Bill Clinton did. So the owners of The X decided to get the next best thing to Gulliani, and that of course is a Gulliani look alike! As the Gulliani look alike is talking, Kid Kash makes his way down to the ring. Kash grabs the microphone from the Gulliani look alike. He says that the fans didn’t come here to see some lame ass mayor impersonator. They came to see some wrestling! And he signed on to give the fans some wrestling. So the Gulliani look alike has two choices. He can either leave the ring now without a scratch. Or he can stand there looking like a moron and become the reason that the New York City homicide rate is up one more body. The Gulliani look alike takes the microphone back. He insists that The X owners hired him to come out here and welcome everybody, and that’s exactly what he is doing. Kash smiles before kicking the Gulliani look alike in the gut and taking him down with a DDT! Kid Kash stands over the Gulliani look alike’s unconscious body. Steve Corino comes walking down to the ring. Corino stands face to face with Kash in the center of the ring. Styles wonders what Corino has to say and that we’ll find out next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Kid Kash and Corino stand staring at each other in the ring. Corino reaches towards Kash and asks for the microphone. Kash hands it to Corino. Steve begins walking around the ring. He says that Kid Kash is right, the fans are here to see wrestling. And he too came here to wrestle. But he hardly thinks that it’s a smart move to beat up some actor that the owners of the company sent out here to entertain the crowd. Here Kid Kash is on his first night with the company and he starts things off by basically slapping the owners in the face. That’s really not intelligent at all. Kash, clearly annoyed, grabs the microphone and asks if Corino has a point to make. Corino takes the microphone back. He says that the reason he came out here is not only to give Kid Kash some advice, but also to do something that Kash could never do, entertain the fans. Kash again grabs the microphone. He says that he’s not here to entertain, he’s here to wrestle. Corino once again takes the microphone back. Steve suggests that if Kash is here to wrestle, then he should wrestle right now. But not against him. Oh no, the King of Old School isn’t at all in the mood to wrestle tonight. But he has a friend who is. Corino turns towards the entranceway and smiles as Michael Shane walks out. Shane walks into the ring and is right away attacked by Kash. Corino leaves the ring as the match begins. Kid Kash and Michael Shane go back and forth for about five minutes. Kash takes the advantage. He goes to hit a DDT on Shane when Mike Sanders comes running out of the audience. Sanders slides into the ring and hits a super kick to Kash, sending him down to the mat. As this is happening, Corino distracts the referee. Shane covers Kash and the referee turns around and counts the 1-2-3. The winner of the match is Michael Shane. After the match, Shane, Corino, and Sanders all begin stomping on Kash. Corino instructs Michael Shane and Mike Sanders to pick Kid Kash up. They lift Kash and hold him up. Corino grabs Kash by the face and talks some to him before giving him a knee to the gut. Sanders and Shane throw Kash down onto the mat. Corino, Sanders, and Shane leave the ring together as Kid Kash is left recovering. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Joey Styles is standing alone in the interview area. He again welcomes everybody to the first episode of X Entertainment and tells us that The X will be presenting its first big show in just a few weeks. The show is The Coastal Explosion Invitational, a joint production between west coast promotion ‘64 Pro and the east coast’s own The X. Tickets are on sale right now. At the show, both companies will hold tag team tournaments, with the winners of each side then meeting in an east coast/west coast battle for bragging rights. The X’s eight-team tournament that night will determine which team holds the number spot on The X’s tag team rankings. Does that make them the quote unquote tag champions? Well The X has decided that championship belts are really nothing but props. Instead we will have a ranking system and whoever is number one in the rankings can lay claim to being the best. Divine Storm, the team of Chris Divine and Quiet Storm, take on the team of James Storm and Chris Harris, together known as America’s Most Wanted. Joey Styles makes note of the fact that both teams have entered the eight-team tag tournament taking place at The Coastal Explosion Invitational. The match ends when Quiet Storm pins Chris Harris, grabbing hold of his tights for extra leverage and getting the 1-2-3. Divine Storm wins. After the match, Divine Storm quickly leaves the ring and heads to the back as Storm and Harris appear clearly annoyed that they were cheated. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Joey Styles welcomes James Maritato to the interview area. Styles asks Maritato if him being in The X means a return of the FBI. Maritato acts almost insulted by the question. He says that while this may surprise some people, he has gone legit. Styles doesn’t seem to buy this, but Maritato insists that it’s true. In fact, he’s opening his own company. The Maritato Waste Management Company. And his first employee of this completely legitimate company is none other then Tony Mamaluke! Tony walks over to the interview area. Styles seems surprised by this. He asks Mamaluke if this means that he has gone legit too? Tony answers with a “fuggeddaboudit!” Maritato says that not only are the Maritato Waste Management Company a legit business, but they are also entering into The X Tag Team Tournament. Styles thanks Maritato and Mamaluke for joining him as both men leave the interview area. The Messiah makes his way down to the ring. Messiah grabs a microphone. He says that he’s heard the people talking for years about him. His entire career they have been comparing him to one person. Tommy Dreamer. And now that he finds himself in the same company as Dreamer, Messiah wants the chance to show the world that they aren’t the same. That he is better then Dreamer. Tommy Dreamer walks out to the ring. Dreamer asks Messiah for the microphone. He hands it to Tommy. Dreamer says that he’s seen Messiah wrestle and sees the similarities. But if Messiah wants a match, it would be Dreamer’s honor. He puts the microphone down and the bell sounds as both men lock up. Styles says that it looks like we have an impromptu match and we will see it next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Tommy Dreamer and The Messiah have already begun their match. The two men quickly brawl out of the ring and into the audience. The two work their way over to the merchandise area. The Messiah charges towards Dreamer, but Tommy catches him and sends him crashing through the glass merchandise booth. Messiah appears hurt. The referee asks him if he wants to quit, but Messiah refuses. He gets back up and goes after Dreamer. After a few minutes, Dreamer and Messiah fight their way back to the ring. They fight in the ring, with Messiah taking the advantage. Messiah attempts a snap suplex, but Dreamer manages to fight back and takes Messiah down with a DDT. He covers Messiah and scores the 1-2-3. After the match, Dreamer takes a microphone. He looks down at the Messiah, who is sitting with his head down, clearly upset that he lost. Dreamer says that Messiah gave it his all and he should be proud of that. Messiah looks up at Dreamer. Tommy says that he has been thinking about entering the tag team tournament, but what he needs is a partner. And he would like Messiah to be his partner. Dreamer extends his arm out to Messiah and helps him up. Messiah smiles and shakes Dreamer’s hand, making it clear that he has accepted his offer. The two men leave the ring together. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Joey Styles is standing in the interview area. He welcomes Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan to the area. Styles says that he understands Daniels and Morgan have signed up for the tag team tournament. Daniels says that Styles is correct, the greatest tag team in the world has signed up for The X Tag Team Tournament. Not that they need to win a tournament to be named the best. They already are the best. But they might as well make some of these other teams look bad and make it clear that they are the absolute best. As the team is speaking, AJ Styles walks out over to the interview area. Styles stands face to face with Daniels. He says that Daniels and Morgan are a great team, there’s no mistake about it. But they’re far from the best. Daniels laughs and asks if he and Morgan aren’t the best, then who is? Styles smiles as Jerry Lynn walks out and stands behind Styles. Daniels begins laughing. He asks if Styles and Lynn really think that they’re the best? Lynn answers with a confident “you’re damn right!” Lynn goes on to say that he and Styles are also entering into the tag team tournament. Daniels says great, maybe the two teams will meet in the tournament. AJ Styles suggests that they not wait for the tournament, they should have a match right now! Daniels looks at Morgan and smiles. Daniels says let’s do it then. The four begin exchanging punches and fight their way off of the interview area. Joey Styles says that the two teams are making their way to the ring and that match is next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Styles and Daniels are busy exchanging punches outside of the ring, while Lynn and Morgan battle inside of the squared circle. After a few minutes, the match settles down into a standard tag match. Daniels and Morgan take advantage of Lynn, keeping him on their side of the ring and making constant tag outs. They also get in a cheap shot or two behind the referee’s back. Daniels attempts the Angel’s Wings but Lynn, with whatever energy he has left, fights out of the move and takes Daniels over with a backdrop. Lynn quickly crawls towards his corner. Daniels also makes his way to his corner. He tags Donovan Morgan in. Morgan runs to stop Lynn from tagging Styles in, but he’s too late as Lynn leaps forward and tags AJ. Styles runs in and begins punching Morgan repeatedly. Daniels runs back into the ring but he’s met right away with a spinning heel kick from Styles. The fight continues a couple of minutes longer before Daniels and Lynn fight outside of the ring. Styles takes Morgan down and heads to the top rope. Styles performs the spiral tap and covers Morgan for the 1-2-3. Styles and Lynn win the match. Joey Styles reminds us about the Coastal Explosion Invitational coming up in two weeks. In the tournament will be Daniels and Morgan, Styles and Lynn, America’s Most Wanted, Divine Storm, Maritato and Mamaluke, Dreamer and Messiah, and just signed up, Michael Shane and Mike Sanders. Plus one more team to be announced next week. Steve Corino is walking out to his car. He stops and turns to the camera. Corino says that what happened to Kid Kash tonight is just the start of things to come. Anybody who is against the owners of this company will also find themselves against the Old School Crew. Corino suggests that if Kash plans on coming back for more, he better bring some friends. Because Corino will bring his. Steve opens the passenger’s side door of his car and smiles at Trinity, who is sitting in the seat. Corino looks back at the camera and smiles as the camera fades out. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT June 3, 2003 Joey Styles welcomes us to X Entertainment and tells us that frankly tonight the owners of The X are a little nervous about what might go down between Kid Kash and Steve Corino. Last week, Corino and his Old School Crew members, Michael Shane and Mike Sanders, beat Kid Kash down in the ring. But if that wasn’t enough, later in the night the situation became personal as Corino debuted the newest member of his team, a woman by the name of Trinity. For those of you that don’t know, Trinity is Kid Kash’s girlfriend. We know that Corino is here tonight, and we expect Kid Kash will be as well. What we don’t know is what might happen between the two, and why would Kid Kash’s girlfriend team with somebody who is clearly against Kash? Sonny Siaki makes his way down to the ring. Siaki, wearing a suit and sunglasses, steps into the ring. He asks for a microphone from the ring crew, and is given one right away. Siaki asks how everybody here in New York City is doing tonight? The fans start to cheer but Siaki right away dismisses them, saying that he doesn’t actually care. Siaki just wanted to come out to tell the fans that he was supposed to have a match tonight. But he won’t be fighting. And the reason is simple. He doesn’t think they deserve to see him wrestle. The fans are nothing but a bunch of multi-cultural trash. In fact, that’s what everybody in New York is. Just a bunch of drug addicted pieces of sh*t. Siaki asks the fans how you can tell the difference between a rich person and a poor person in New York? The rich guy has better drugs. Siaki walks around the ring and says to just look at the crowd. He points to one person and says he’s an addict. Siaki then points to another and says he’s an addict. Siaki points to another and says she’s an addict, and for some reason the crack ain’t helping her lose weight either, the fat bitch. As the fans jeer Siaki, Tommy Dreamer comes walking out to the ring. Dreamer enters the ring and stands across from Siaki. He says that he doesn’t like what Siaki is saying about the fans. Dreamer appreciates the fans. Hell, he is a fan. And if Siaki has a problem with the fans, then he has a problem with Dreamer. Siaki laughs, as Dreamer looks ready to fight. Siaki looks as though he is about to hit Dreamer but instead he drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring. Siaki walks back up the isle as Joey Styles wonders why Siaki is just backing down? COMMERCIAL BREAK... James Storm, along with Chris Harris, comes down to the ring. Once he is there, Quiet Storm, along with Chris Divine, comes out. As Quiet Storm enters the ring, Joey Styles reminds us that last week on X Entertainment, Divine Storm cheated to beat America’s Most Wanted in a tag match. The bell sounds as James Storm and Quiet Storm lock up to start the match. The two men go through a series of moves with neither gaining the advantage, ending the series with the trademark “Indy stand off”. Storm and Storm again lock up, this time with James Storm taking control. James attempts to keep Quiet Storm down on the mat, but Quiet Storm is able to fight back. Quiet Storm whips James into the ropes, where Chris Divine is standing and hits a hard kick to James’ back. Quiet Storm then takes the advantage, keeping James down on the mat with a side headlock. After a couple of minutes, James Storm begins to get up. He finally gets to his feet and elbows Quiet Storm in the stomach a few times to break the hold. Storm runs off of the ropes and clotheslines Quiet Storm down to the mat. Chris Divine again jumps up onto the side of the ring. James Storm rushes over and knocks Divine off of the ring and into the audience guardrail. Quiet Storm hits James with a low blow from behind. Quiet Storm rolls James up with a small package, but Chris Harris jumps up on the side of the ring and gains the referee’s attention. Quiet Storm breaks the pinfall and runs over to Chris Harris. He throws a punch at Harris but Chris ducks, grabs Quiet Storm’s head, and jumps off of the side of the ring, sending Storm’s throat up against the rope. Storm stumbles backwards in pain as James Storm heads up to the top rope. James comes off of the top with a cross body, landing on Quiet Storm in a pinfall position, but the referee is busy reprimanding Chris Harris for his actions. As this is happening, Chris Divine runs into the ring with a chair and nails James Storm hard across the back, allowing Quiet Storm to turn the pin over on James. The referee turns around and sees the cover. He runs over and counts the 1-2-3. Quiet Storm wins in 12:32. After the match, Divine Storm quickly retreats from the ringside area, as James Storm and Chris Harris stand in the ring, angry that Divine Storm has cheated to beat one of them for a second week in a row. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Joey Styles welcomes The Old Screw Crew to the interview area. Steve Corino, Mike Sanders, Michael Shane, and Trinity all walk over. Styles starts out by talking to Mike Sanders and Michael Shane, asking them their thoughts going into the tag team tournament next week, The X/’64 Pro joint show, The Coastal Explosion Invitational. Sanders, Shane, and Corino all begin laughing. Sanders says that they don’t have any thoughts going into the tournament. They don’t need any thoughts going into the tournament. Thoughts are for people who have no chance of winning. But the Old Screw Crew has no chance of losing. Joey then turns to Trinity and asks the question that must be on every fan’s mind. Why has Trinity joined forces with her boyfriend’s enemy? Trinity says that the situation is simple, Steve Corino asked her to come to The X and Kid Kash didn’t. That’s it. Corino called her and said he needed a tough, talented woman to be on his team and she accepted. She is still dating Kash, but that’s outside of the arena. Here, it’s about business, and it just so happens that they are on opposite sides. Kid Kash comes out and walks over to the interview area. Kash laughs and says that Trinity can’t possibly believe that Corino asked her to come here because she’s talented. It’s obvious that he asked her here knowing her relationship with Kash. Trinity seems insulted by Kash saying that. Corino steps forward and says that it’s just like Kash to think that everything is about him. It just so happens that Corino called Trinity because she is a talented woman and he doesn’t like seeing talented people sitting at home when they can be selling out arenas. But then maybe that’s the reason why Kash didn’t want to bring Trinity in. Maybe he was afraid that, as usual, she might outshine him. Trinity looks down and shakes her head as Corino says this. Kid Kash says that he can play Corino’s little games too. See last week Corino suggested that Kash bring some friends here. Well that’s exactly what Kash has done. He invites out his new friend, somebody Corino should know, Allison Danger. Corino looks clearly upset as Danger walks out onto the interview area. Corino smiles and says that Kash must think he’s smart, bringing Corino’s sister into this. Corino right away admits that he never called Allison to come into The X. In fact he called her and told her to stay home. Why? Because she’s an untalented slut who has done nothing but sleep her way through this business. Allison Danger right away slaps her brother Corino hard across the face. Trinity runs forward and tackles Allison down to the floor. The two women start rolling around, clawing at each other. After a few moments, a group of referees run out and pull the two women apart. Trinity, back to her feet, challenges Allison Danger to a match later tonight. Allison, off set, screams out “you’re on bitch!” COMMERCIAL BREAK... Tommy Dreamer is busy tapping up his fists in the locker room. The Messiah sits watching him. Dreamer finishes and says he has a match to win. Messiah wishes him good luck. Dreamer exits the locker room. Joey Styles tells us that it is now official, later tonight Trinity will go one on one with Allison Danger. And with all of the personal relationships involved in that match, it’s bound to be more dysfunctional then Christmas dinner at the McMahon home. Tommy Dreamer walks down to the ring. Styles talks about what happened earlier with Dreamer and Siaki. He notes how weird it was that Siaki just backed off instead of fighting Dreamer. Once Tommy is in the ring, Scoot Andrews makes his way out. Tommy Dreamer defeats Scott Andrews in 5:33 when Dreamer reverses the Forces Of Nature and hits a DDT. After the match, Dreamer offers Andrews a handshake. Andrews accepts, showing some rare sportsmanship. Dreamer leaves the ring. Andrews is about to leave as well when Old School Crew member Michael Shane walks out. Shane mockingly claps his hands for Andrews. He enters the ring and says wow, you did really good there losing to the has-been bingo hall star. But the best part was when Andrews actually shook Dreamer’s hand afterwards, being a gracious loser. Of course the fact still remains, he’s a loser. Shane suggests that Scoot start acting more like a winner, instead of a good loser. Andrews asks for the microphone. He thanks Michael Shane for the advice, but suggests that he’d rather not take it for somebody who’s only talent in this business is having a successful uncle. Shane obviously doesn’t appreciate this. Andrews leaves the ring, but as he walks up the isle, Mike Sanders comes running down and attacks Andrews. He sends Andrews back into the ring where Sanders and Shane double-team him. After beating Andrews down for a few minutes, Sanders and Shane leave the ring, smiling at what they’ve just done. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Jason Cross makes his way down to the ring. Once he’s there, Christian York, along with Joey Matthews, comes out. Jason Cross defeats Christian York in 6:07. The two have a completely clean, fair match, which Cross wins with the Crossfire shooting star leg drop. After the match, Cross is celebrating his victory when James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke, also known as the Maritato Waste Management Company, walk down to the ring. The two men enter the ring and stand on either side of Cross. Maritato asks Cross if he has the money that he owes them. Cross acts dubious and wonders what money Maritato is talking about. James says Cross knows what money they’re talking about. He played cards with them and he lost, so he owes them some money. Cross says that he thought it was a friendly game and they weren’t playing for keeps. Maritato looks at Mamaluke and laughs. He repeats what Cross said, that they were just playing for fun. Maritato’s face turns serious as he tells Cross that nobody rips the Maritato Waste Management Company off. Mamaluke attacks Cross from behind, knocking him to the mat. Maritato takes Cross in the Sicilian crab. The referee pleads with Maritato to release the hold, but he refuses. Mamaluke hits a few cheap kicks to Cross as Maritato has the crab locked in. After a few minutes, Maritato finally releases the hold. He and Mamaluke leave the ring as the referees attend to Jason Cross. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Christopher Daniels, along with Donovan Morgan, are standing in the ring. Daniels has a microphone. He says that last week, Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles defeated Daniels and Morgan. They proved that they are a better team. But Daniels is still the best wrestler in the world. In fact, he didn’t even lose last week. Morgan lost. It was all his fault. Donovan Morgan doesn’t appear to appreciate Daniels saying this. Daniels says tonight he has a one on one match with Jerry Lynn and he’s going to show the world why he is the best. Jerry Lynn, along with AJ Styles, makes his way down to the ring. Daniels and Lynn lock up, with Daniels gaining the early advantage with a poke to the eye. Daniels continues to hold the advantage for a few minutes, before Lynn is finally able to come back with a clothesline that takes Daniels over the top rope and to the floor. Lynn hits a suicide dive onto Daniels. Donovan Morgan grabs Lynn off of the floor and slams his back into the ring post. AJ Styles runs over and attacks Morgan. As Styles and Morgan fight, Daniels rolls Lynn back into the ring. Daniels goes for the cover on Lynn but Jerry is able to kick out at two. Daniels stands up and begins arguing with the referee over the count. Lynn crawls over and rolls Daniels up with a schoolboy to get the 1-2-3. Jerry Lynn wins in 13:49. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Christopher Daniels is clearly annoyed in the ring after losing. He grabs a microphone and says Jerry Lynn may have beaten him tonight, but next week at the Coastal Explosion Invitational, Daniels will walk away the winner. Lynn, standing near the Interview area, says that Daniels could win, but Lynn and Styles aren’t the only other great team he’ll have to beat. Daniels seems unsure as to what Lynn means when out walks Ikuto Hidaka and Dick Togo. Lynn introduces the team as the eight entrants into The X tag team tournament. Daniels looks absolutely livid. Joey Styles reminds us that next week it will be the X and ’64 Pro joining together for the Coastal Explosion Invitational. Two team tournaments and a final match with the winners of each side fighting for East coast/West coast bragging rights. In The X tournament will be Daniels and Morgan, Styles and Lynn, Michael Shane and Mike Sanders, America’s Most Wanted, Divine Storm, Maritato and Mamaluke, Dreamer and The Messiah, and just added Ikuto Hidaka and Dick Togo. And one thing is for sure, whichever team wins this massive tournament deserves bragging rights. Tommy Dreamer has just finished getting dressed in his locker room. He reaches into his pocket and finds that his wallet is missing. Dreamer begins looking around. He says that the last person to be in the locker room after he left was The Messiah. Dreamer seems unsure if his new friend has stolen his wallet. He also seems disappointed that Messiah is the most likely suspect. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Trinity, with Steve Corino, walks down to the ring. Once they are there, Allison Danger, with Kid Kash, comes to the ring. Trinity and Allison lock up, fighting back and forth for a few minutes before Trinity hits a hurricanrana on Allison, sending her into the referee and causing him to be hit in the face with Danger’s boot. As the referee is down on the mat, Steve Corino enters the ring and attempts to hit his own sister, but Kid Kash runs in and is able to push Allison out of the way. Corino goes for a super kick on Kash but he ducks and Corino ends up hitting Trinity. Kid Kash drops to his knees and tries to comfort Trinity but Corino grabs Kash and throws him out of the ring. Corino leaves the ring as well. Danger crawls over and covers Trinity. The referee comes to and counts the pinfall. Allison Danger wins the match in 5:47. Steve Corino appears annoyed that Trinity lost. He looks down at Kid Kash, who is on the floor, and stomps on him a few times. Meanwhile, Allison Danger celebrates her victory in the ring. Suddenly Alexis Laree comes into the ring and attacks Allison Danger from behind. She takes Danger and lays her out with a tornado DDT. Alexis stands over Allison. She looks over and notices Trinity standing up. Alexis runs over and hits a tornado DDT on Trinity. Laree stands in the ring over the two beaten women’s bodies as Steve Corino, clearly surprised, looks in at Laree. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT June 14, 2003 Joey Styles is standing in the center of the ring. JOEY STYLES – Ladies and gentlemen, it pains me to say this, but the new owner of The X...Vince Russo! Vince Russo confidently struts down to the ring. He enters the ring and smiles at Joey Styles, who looks anything but pleased to see Russo. Vince plays to the crowd some before walking over to Styles and grabbing the microphone from him. VINCE RUSSO – Why don’t you leave the ring before I have to slap those stupid glasses off your face? A clearly annoyed Joey Styles leaves the ring. VINCE RUSSO – Now as you just heard, some changes have taken place in the last week. And at the top of that list is the old owner of this company realized he didn’t know shit about wrestling and decided to sell his company to the man that revolutionized this business. Me! The fans boo loudly. VINCE RUSSO – And now that I’m here, I need to clean up the mess that the old owner left around here. First of all, that owner had this so-called revolutionary idea that there wouldn’t be any championships in this company. What type of bullshit is that? I’ll be the first to admit that title belts are nothing but props. Hell, I’ve even been champion. But they’re props with a purpose. And starting tonight, The X will have championship belts! But before I get to them, I need two people to come to this ring. Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles. Get your asses out here! A few moments pass before Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles walk down to the ring. The two men step into the ring and stand across from Russo. VINCE RUSSO – Guys, we have a problem. See, last week at the Coastal Explosion Invitational show we had with ‘64 Pro, The X lost the big bragging rights match. Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan, our team in that match, lost. And I’ve had to hear about it all week long. All of those West Coast gang banging sons of bitches have been boasting about how they kicked the East Coast’s ass. But do you know what makes me really pissed off about Daniels and Morgan losing. Do you? It’s that they didn’t lose on their own. You two cost them that match! If it hadn’t been for you, The X would have won those bragging rights. Instead we lost to a bunch of idiots who think a drive by is something you go through at McDonalds. Well tonight I want revenge on those ‘64 Pro guys. But I can’t get it because they’re not here. What I can do though is punish you two for what you did. Actually I’ll only be punishing one of you. That’s you Lynn. Since this wet behind the ears little shit was probably just following your lead. AJ Styles looks annoyed at Russo for calling him that. Lynn puts his arm in front of Styles, holding him back. VINCE RUSSO – So tonight Lynn, you’re gonna go one on two against Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan. And oh yeah, The X Tag Team Championship will be on the line in that match. Meaning if you win Lynn, you and Styles are the champions. But Styles, if you even come near the ringside area during the match, your ass will be fired and back on the bus to the boondocks faster then you can imagine. Now you two get the hell out of my ring. Lynn and Styles both look annoyed as they leave the ring. Russo waves goodbye to them as they leave. As they leave, Joey Styles points out that Russo has been in the X for about fifteen minutes and his effect has already been felt. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Vince Russo is walking backstage. Steve Corino, Michael Shane, Mike Sanders, and Trinity walk over to Russo. STEVE CORINO – Vince Russo. VINCE RUSSO – Steve Corino. STEVE CORINO – Look, I’ll be honest. I don’t have any reason to like you Russo. Never have, never will. But I can respect you. And I’m sure you can respect me. See me and my Old School Crew here used to be good friends with the owner of this company and now that he’s gone, well we just want to make sure that we haven’t lost our place with this company. All I’m saying is if you need us, just say the word. Russo looks over the four members of the team. VINCE RUSSO – Old School Crew, huh? I’ll keep that in mind. Russo walks away. Corino turns to his teammates and smiles. Tony Mamaluke, along with James Maritato, takes on Jason Cross in a one on one match. The two fast-paced wrestlers go back and forth fighting each other before Cross hits his finisher, the Crossfire shooting star leg drop, and scoring the pin. Jason Cross wins in 7:14. After the match, Maritato and Mamaluke attack Cross and beat him down. As they are double teaming Cross, Doug Williams comes running down to the ring. Williams slides into the ring and chases off Maritato and Mamaluke. The two Italians leave the ring, looking annoyed. Doug Williams stands in the ring and checks on Jason Cross. Joey Styles notes that he didn’t even realize Doug Williams was here tonight. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles sit in the locker room. JERRY LYNN – Look AJ, Russo is a power hungry son of a bitch. Just do what he says. Don’t come down to the ring during my match. AJ STYLES – I’ll try not to, but I can’t make any promises. Lynn stands up and walks out of the room. Styles watches as Lynn leaves. Sonny Siaki stands in the center of the ring. SONNY SIAKI – They say God made man in his own image. Well God must be ugly as ass because you people are incredibly hideous! Seriously, looking around the arena, I feel like I’m surrounded by an Island of Lepers. Can you people even look in the mirror without vomiting? Siaki begins pointing at people in the front row of the audience. SONNY SIAKI – Look, he’s ugly. He’s ugly. She’s bugly. That’s beyond ugly. You’d need to be drunk for her to even be ugly. Siaki points to a large woman in the audience. SONNY SIAKI – Look at this one. She’s actually a good looking for a man. As Siaki is laughing, The Messiah makes his way down to the ring. The Messiah steps into the ring and stands face to face with Siaki. SONNY SIAKI – Can I help you? The Messiah takes the microphone from Siaki. THE MESSIAH – I don’t know what your problem is Siaki, but why are you spending so much time trying to make me look bad to Tommy Dreamer? I finally have a friend in this business and he doesn’t trust me because of you. First you take his wallet and make him think it’s me. Then you hit him with a chair at Coast Explosion and again leave me to be blamed. Why are you doing this? Siaki extends his hand to the Messiah, asking for the microphone back. Messiah hands it to him. SONNY SIAKI – Why? Well it’s simple, I have to do something. Messiah grabs the microphone back. THE MESSIAH – Oh you’re gonna do something Siaki. You’re gonna get your ass kicked! The Messiah begins punching Siaki repeatedly. A referee runs down to the ring and calls for the bell to officially start this match. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The Messiah and Siaki continue going at it in, and out, of the ring. Siaki stands in the corner of the ring. Messiah runs for a splash but Siaki grabs the referee and causes Messiah to hit the referee. With the referee down, Messiah rolls out of the ring and grabs a chair. He enters the ring and goes to hit Siaki with the chair, but Sonny ducks and hits Messiah with a neckbreaker. Tommy Dreamer comes running down to the ring. Dreamer jumps up on the side of the ring. Siaki runs over and is punches repeatedly by Dreamer. Siaki stumbles backwards in the ring. Dreamer turns towards the audience and raises his arm to the crowd’s approval. Siaki picks the chair up and runs over to Dreamer, hitting him hard across the back and sending Dreamer crashing to the floor. Siaki turns around and sees The Messiah standing up. Siaki throws the chair at Messiah, who catches it. Siaki lays down on the mat. Messiah looks confusingly at Siaki. Dreamer stands up outside of the ring and looks up at Messiah standing with the chair. Dreamer’s eyes widen as he rolls into the ring. He begins arguing with The Messiah, ending with Dreamer kicking Messiah in the gut and taking him down with a DDT. Dreamer leaves the ring as Siaki rushes over to Messiah and covers him. The referee crawls over and counts the 1-2-3. Sonny Siaki wins in 17:25. Backstage, we see an open locker room door. Yelling can be heard coming from the room. After a moment, Trinity comes walking out. She has an annoyed look on her face. As Trinity walks away, Kid Kash steps out of the locker room and shakes his head, clearly upset about something. Joey Styles tells us that Kash and Allison Danger take on Steve Corino and Trinity, next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Kid Kash and Allison Danger stand in the ring as Steve Corino and Trinity make their way out. Joey Styles explains to us that this match is a mixed tag match, meaning that the men can fight the women. The question is will they since Kash is Trinity’s boyfriend, and Corino is Danger’s brother. The match starts with Danger and Trinity going at it. Danger rushes over and tags in Kid Kash. He steps into the ring but clearly doesn’t want to lock up with Trinity. Kash suggests that Trinity tag Corino in. She reluctantly walks over to the corner and tags in her partner. Kash and Corino fight for a few minutes, with Corino having the advantage. Kash tags Danger in. Allison walks into the ring and stands face to face with her brother. Showing that he has no problem fighting his sister, Corino slaps Danger hard across the face. He fights her for a couple of minutes, keeping her down on the mat. Danger is able to hit a desperation low blow, taking Corino down. Both wrestlers crawl towards their corners and tag in their partners. Kash and Trinity enter the ring but again Kash asks Trinity not to fight him. Trinity agrees and turns her back to walk towards the corner. Kash charges towards Trinity and takes her down with a clothesline. He picks Trinity up and hits Cha-Ching on her. Kash covers Trinity and scores the 1-2-3. Kid Kash and Allison Danger win in 5:58. After the match, Kash helps Trinity to her feet. He tries talking to her, but Trinity shoves him away. She leaves the ring and heads to the back, with Kash following after her. Meanwhile, in the ring, Allison Danger gets to her feet. She begins to leave the ring when Alexis Laree comes running out of the audience and into the ring. Laree grabs Danger and takes her to he mat with a DDT. Corino stands up and sees Laree standing over his sister’s unconscious body. He smiles at Alexis and she smiles back. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Kid Kash and Trinity are standing in the locker room. TRINITY – Why did you do that to me? Huh? KID KASH – Look, I told you, if you’re going to wrestle here and be against me, then when we’re in the ring it will be about business. Not personal. TRINITY – Oh so you hitting me out there wasn’t personal? KID KASH – No, it was business. TRINITY – You know what, screw you and screw your business. If I were you, I’d sleep with one I open tonight. Trinity storms out of the room. KID KASH – It’s not supposed to be personal! We agreed! Dammit. Kash stands looking annoyed. The Old School Crew, Michael Shane and Mike Sanders, take on America’s Most Wanted, James Storm and Chris Harris. Joey Styles reminds us that later tonight we will crown the first X Tag Team Champions, and these two teams are likely to be contenders for those belts sometime soon. The match lasts 5:15, ending with Storm and Harris hitting the Death Sentence on Mike Sanders and scoring the win. Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan are shown stretching in the locker room. Joey Styles says that Daniels and Morgan take on Jerry Lynn for the X Tag Team Title belts, next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Mike Sanders walks backstage. Scoot Andrews sees Sanders walking. He walks over to Sanders. SCOOT ANDREWS – Hey Sanders, good match out there. Not a lot of people can lose and make it look as good as you do. I guess what I’m trying to say is as far as losers go, you’re the best. Mike Sanders mockingly smiles at Scoot. Andrews turns and begins walking away. Sanders runs over to him and hits him with a forearm to the back of the head. Sanders begins stomping on Scoot repeatedly. He bends down to look Scoot in the face. MIKE SANDERS – And when it comes to bitches on their back, you’re the best. Sanders walks away, leaving Scoot down. Jerry Lynn stands in the ring as Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan walk down to the ring. Joey Styles reminds us that this match is to crown the first-ever X Tag Team Champions, though it is a handicap match. He also reminds us that if AJ Styles, Lynn’s partner, comes down to the ring and tries to help Lynn during the match, AJ will be fired. Daniels and Morgan spend a large portion of the match double teaming Lynn. After about seven minutes, Lynn hits a desperation double clothesline on both men, taking them down to the mat. Lynn is able to get to his feet first and heads up to the top rope. He comes down on Daniels with a flying dropkick. Morgan gets to his feet and throws Lynn out of the ring. He begins fighting with Lynn outside of the ring. Jerry fights back and is able to send Morgan crashing into the steel ring steps. Lynn crawls back into the ring but Daniels is right there to kick Lynn in the gut and hit the Angel’s Wings to score the 1-2-3. Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan win in 14:39 to become the first-ever X Tag Team Champions. After the match, Daniels and Morgan continue beating Lynn down. This brings AJ Styles running down to the ring. Styles chases off Daniels and Morgan, who grab their tag team title belts and retreat from the ring. Styles helps Jerry Lynn to his feet. Just then, Vince Russo walks down to the ring. Russo enters the ring and stands across from Lynn and Styles. Lynn, with Styles behind him, stares at Russo. Vince has a smile across his face. Suddenly, Lynn turns towards AJ and kicks him in the gut. He picks Styles up and hits a cradle piledriver. Russo runs over to Lynn and hugs him. JOEY STYLES: What the hell is going on here? Jerry Lynn has stabbed AJ Styles in the back and joined Vince Russo? Oh my god, how can Lynn possibly go to sleep tonight after showing himself to be nothing but a rat? Russo and Lynn stand with their arms raised in victory over AJ Styles as the camera fades out. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT June 21, 2003 Video is shown from the closing moments of last week as Jerry Lynn stabbed AJ Styles in the back and sided with The X’s new owner, Vince Russo. Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and tells us that tonight Steve Corino will go one on one with Scoot Andrews. Tommy Dreamer makes his way down to the ring. He enters and asks for a microphone. TOMMY DREAMER – Before I have my match here tonight, there’s something I need to say. Messiah, would you please come to the ring. A few moments pass before The Messiah walks down to the ring. He enters the ring and stands across from Dreamer. The Messiah avoids making eye contact with Dreamer. TOMMY DREAMER – Messiah, I know you’re mad at me and after what I did last week, you have every right to be. The truth is I was jumping to conclusions about you. I asked you to be my friend and then I didn’t trust you. For that, I’m sorry. And I really hope you can forgive me. Dreamer extends his hand to Messiah for a handshake. The Messiah looks up at Dreamer. He half smiles and shakes Tommy’s hand. Sonny Siaki makes his way down to the ring. As Siaki enters, Messiah steps out of the ring. Tommy Dreamer goes one on one with Sonny Siaki. The match ends when Siaki hits Siakalypse Now on Dreamer. He covers Tommy but Dreamer kicks out before the three. Siaki, clearly annoyed, stands up and begins stomping on Dreamer’s knee. Tommy screams out in pain. The referee orders Siaki to step away from Dreamer. As the referee checks on Dreamer, Messiah slides into the ring and hits Siaki hard in the head with a steel chair. Siaki falls to the mat. Messiah quickly leaves the ring. Dreamer crawls over to Siaki’s unconscious body and covers him for the 1-2-3. Tommy Dreamer wins in 7:14. After the match, Messiah enters the ring and nails Dreamer from behind with the steel chair. Dreamer drops down onto the mat. Messiah begins unloading on Tommy with one vicious chair shot after another. Finally, after about six chair shots, Messiah leaves the ring, holding the mangled chair up proudly as he walks to the back. Dreamer is left bloody and bruised on the mat. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Chris Sabin makes his way down to the ring. Joey Styles mentions that this is Sabin’s debut in The X. He says that Sabin is a bright young star that should fit well here in The X. As Joey speaks, Old School Crew member Michael Shane walks out to the ring. Michael Shane asks for a microphone. He stands face to face with Sabin. MICHAEL SHANE – Look, you’re new around here so let me give you some advice. This place is like high school. That means if you’re not friends with the right people, you just don’t matter. And the right people here are the Old School Crew. So what do you say we just forget this match and you come to the back with me and meet the boys. Sabin smiles at Shane and asks for the microphone. Shane hands it to him. CHRIS SABIN – Thanks but if I needed advice, I wouldn’t ask you. Sabin turns around to put the microphone down. Michael Shane charges towards Sabin and attacks him from behind as the bell sounds to officially start the match. The two men wrestle back and forth with Michael Shane winning the match in 4:57 after hitting the Picture Perfect Elbow and scoring the pin. James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke are sitting backstage. JAMES MARITATO – I’m thirsty. Hey Tony, go get me some coffee. TONY MAMALUKE – That’s not my job. JAMES MARITATO – Make believe it is. TONY MAMALUKE – Getcha own damn coffee. JAMES MARITATO – Or maybe I should hire somebody else to get the coffee. TONY MAMALUKE – Whateva. JAMES MARITATO – Yeah, I’ve been thinkin bout expandin the company anyway. Maritato sees a short, twenty-something year old guy wearing an old FBI T-Shirt walking down the hall. JAMES MARITATIO – Hey kid, get ova here! The guy walks over. GUY – Little Guido! It’s so freaking cool to meet you! JAMES MARITATO – Yeah yeah, look, you wanna job with the Maritato Waste Management company? GUY – What do you guys do? TONY MAMALUKE – Yeah, what do we do? JAMES MARITATO – We take care of business. Now do you want the job or not? GUY – Sure. What do I gotta do? JAMES MARITATO – Go get me some coffee. Two sugars and no milk. I’m lactose intolerant. The guy nods his head and runs to fetch the coffee. Maritato stands with a smile on his face. JAMES MARITATO – That kid is alright. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Jerry Lynn and Vince Russo make their way to the ring. They wait a moment for the crowd to quiet down some. Russo holds a microphone but before he speaks, Lynn asks for the mic. Russo slyly smiles and hands it to Jerry. JERRY LYNN – A lot of people have been asking why I did what I did last week. They’ve been asking me why Jerry why? Everywhere I go, fans ask why Jerry why? All week long it’s been why Jerry why? And even I myself have looked in the mirror and asked the question. Why Jerry why...did it take you so long to smarten up? The crowd jeers this sentiment. JERRY LYNN – For years I’ve been the guy that everybody admits is good but never wants to give a chance at being great. I’m the guy that others use as a stepping-stone to their own success. I’m tired of it. And I’m especially tired of AJ Styles. In every company we’ve crossed paths in, Styles has used me to make a name for himself. Whether he was my partner or my enemy, he was using my talent to establish himself. Well not this time. Not here in The X. This time it’s me using Styles to make my name. This time Jerry Lynn will rise to the top, where I belong. And if it means stabbing every friend I’ve ever had in the back, then so be it. If it takes siding with a man who goes against every moral I hold, then that’s what I will do. My time has come and you’re either with me or you’re in my way. Lynn hands the microphone to Russo. VINCE RUSSO – You’re right Jerry, your time has come. Time for you to be World Champion. As the owner of The X, I have an invested interest in who is The X World Champion. And Jerry, I want it to be you. I want The X world title belt around your waist. And that’s why on July 5th, when The X makes it’s Philadelphia debut, we will have a one night tournament to crown the first-ever X World Champion and Jerry, I’m entering you into the tournament to win the title. Lynn smiles at Russo. Suddenly, AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring. Styles enters the ring and stands across from Lynn and Russo. VINCE RUSSO – Hold on one second there Styles. I know you feel that you have a reason for revenge here, but let’s be smart and... Styles charges towards Russo and hits him with a spinning heel kick. Lynn immediately attacks Styles from behind. He punches AJ repeatedly in the corner. Lynn takes Styles and drops him to the mat with a cradle piledriver. Jerry helps Russo up to his feet. The two men stand over Styles. Russo picks up the microphone. VINCE RUSSO – Hey Styles, you want to fight Jerry then fine, you’ll fight him later tonight. And remember that World Title tournament I was talking about earlier. Well if you don’t win tonight, you won’t even be allowed into the building on July 5th! Russo and Lynn leave the ring. Styles begins to pull himself off of the mat. Kid Kash is standing backstage, talking on his cell phone. KID KASH – Trinity, would you please pick up the phone? Hello? Allison Danger walks over to Kash. ALLISON DANGER – Are you coming? Kash looks annoyed at Allison. KID KASH – Yeah. Kash closes his cell phone and walks with Danger. Joey Styles tells us that Danger takes on Alexis Laree, next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Allison Danger goes one on one with Alexis Laree. Kid Kash accompanies Danger to the ring. Laree dominates most of the match, using her wrestling skills to keep Danger down. Trinity comes running down to the ring. She climbs up to the top rope and goes for a moonsault on Laree, but Alexis catches Trinity with a stiff kick to the gut. Trinity rolls on the mat, holding her stomach. Kid Kash appears concerned about his girlfriend Trinity. He reaches into the ring and pulls Trinity out. Kash carries Trinity to the back. Danger watches angrily as Kash leaves the ringside area. Alexis grabs Allison from behind and hits an inverted DDT. She covers Danger and scores the pin. Alexis Laree wins in 5:04. James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke sit backstage. The guy hired earlier to get coffee for Maritato walks over to the men. He hands the cup of coffee to James. JAMES MARITATO – It’s about time. Maritato sips the coffee and right away spits it out. JAMES MARITATO – Didn’t I say no milk? GUY – I’m sorry Mr. Maritato. JAMES MARITATO – You’re sorry? Oh I’ll give ya sorry! Maritato throws the hot cup of coffee into the guy’s face. The guy grabs his face and screams out in agony. He falls to the floor as Maritato begins stomping on him. Doug Williams runs over and pushes Maritato out of the way. Williams stands guard over the hurt guy. JAMES MARITATO – Oh! Whaddaya think ya doin? Doug Williams grabs Maritato by the shirt collar. DOUG WILLIAMS – Why don’t you pick on somebody your own size? Oh that’s right, this company doesn’t employ midgets. Williams releases Maritato and walks away. Mamaluke stands next to Maritato. TONY MAMALUKE – He don’t like you very much. JAMES MARITATO – That’s why you need to beat him next week. TONY MAMALUKE – Whaddaya mean I need to beat him? JAMES MARITATO – What? You’re fighting him next week. Maritato fixes his shirt collar and walks away. TONY MAMALUKE – Wait, I don’t think that’s such a good idea. Guido! Let’s talk about this! Mamaluke walks away. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The X Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan make their way to the ring. Daniels and Morgan stand in the center of the ring with their title belts propped proudly on their shoulders. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Last week a huge wrong was made right when Vince Russo created the X Tag Team Championship belts. And while me and Donovan Morgan were already the best team in the world, now we have the belts to prove it. But what we don’t have is a team worthy of challenging for the titles. No team in this company deserves a title shot. Not a single team here has earned it. But that’s about to change since... Daniels is interrupted by the theme song of America’s Most Wanted. James Storm and Chris Harris walk down to the ring. They stand across from Daniels and Morgan. Harris takes a microphone out of his back pocket and turns it on. CHRIS HARRIS – Daniels, what the hell are you talking about? There isn’t a single deserving team here to wrestle for the tag titles? What about me and James Storm? We’ve beaten nearly every team in this company. We deserve a shot at the belts. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – You’ve never beaten us. In fact, at Coastal Explosion, we beat you. CHRIS HARRIS – You cheated to win. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – The keyword is win. The way we see it, we’ve already beaten you, so why should we fight you again? You don’t deserve to step into the ring with us. CHRIS HARRIS – You want to talk about not deserving? You two won those tag titles by winning a handicap match. Not to mention that every other match you’ve won you’ve cheated in. You guys don’t deserve to be the tag team champions. Frankly, you don’t even deserve to be fighting for titles, let alone holding them. Daniels, clearly annoyed, steps into Harris’s face. The two men stand eye to eye for a moment before Daniels raises his microphone to his mouth. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Are you finished? Because I was trying to make an important announcement before you rudely interrupted. Harris takes a few steps back from Daniels. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – As I said earlier, we don’t have worthy challengers for our tag titles, but that’s going to change because starting next week we will have the Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan Invitational. A four team elimination tournament where the winners will get a shot at our titles. And we’re out here to announce that the four teams in the tournament will be the Maritato Waste Management Company, Divine Storm, Old School Crew members Mike Sanders and Michael Shane, and finally... Daniels steps into Harris’s face. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS - Ikuto Hidaka and Dick Togo. Harris turns his head slightly to look at James Storm. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Don’t feel too bad guys, all we’ve done is saved you the shame of losing to us yet again. Daniels turns to Morgan and laughs. Harris kicks Daniels in the gut and takes him down with a DDT. Donovan Morgan charges at Harris for a clothesline, but Harris ducks and Storm hits Morgan with a drop kick. Morgan and Daniels roll out of the ring and head to the back. Storm and Harris stand watching as the tag team champions retreat from the ring. Steve Corino goes to walk into Trinity’s locker room but before he can enter, Kid Kash walks out and stands in front of him. STEVE CORINO – Where’s Trinity? KID KASH – Maybe you missed it earlier, but Alexis Laree kicked Trinity in the stomach and she’s hurt. STEVE CORINO – Laree did that huh? KID KASH – Why don’t you just leave Trinity alone already? You don’t need her as a manager and trying to use her to get to me isn’t working. STEVE CORINO – Isn’t it though? KID KASH – Just leave her alone. STEVE CORINO – No, I don’t think I’m going to. See the World Title tournament is coming up in two weeks and I need a strong woman by my side. KID KASH – You don’t need Trinity. STEVE CORINO – Look, I have a match to get to. Tell Trinity she can have the night off. But I’ll see her next week. Or maybe we can get together after the show... Kash steps into Corino’s face. KID KASH – Watch it Corino. STEVE CORINO – Not getting to you, huh? Corino smiles and walks away. Joey Styles tells us that Steve Corino takes on Scoot Andrews, next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Steve Corino goes one on one with Scoot Andrews in the next match. The end comes when Mike Sanders runs down to the ring and jumps up on the side. This distracts Andrews, who runs over and punches Sanders hard across the face, sending Sanders falling to the floor. Andrews turns back around and is met by Corino with the Old School Expulsion. Corino covers Andrews and scores the victory in 8:47. Joey Styles stands in the announcer’s area and reminds us that on July 5th, The X makes its Philadelphia debut with a one-night eight-man tournament to crown the first ever X World Champion. So far signed for the tournament are Steve Corino, Tommy Dreamer, and Jerry Lynn. And AJ Styles will be in the tournament if he can beat Jerry Lynn in tonight’s main event, which is coming up next. COMMERCIAL BREAK... A black screen appears. On the screen the words “They Say Fear Is A Four Letter Word...They’re Right” rise up. Those words fade away and the word “Rush” appears. After a few moments, that disappears and the words “Coming Soon” are shown. AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn wrestle in our main event. The two men have an evenly matched battle, showing their experience against each other and how alike the two are. After about ten minutes, Vince Russo walks down to the ring. He stands outside of the ring and loudly cheers for Lynn. Jerry goes for the Cradle Piledriver on Styles, but AJ manages to flip out of the move and hit Lynn with a spinning heel kick. With Lynn down, Styles heads to the top rope. He looks to be going for the Spiral Tap, but instead of hitting the move on Lynn, Styles turns and dives off of the top rope onto Russo, taking him down on the floor. Styles goes back into the ring and is right away met by punches from Lynn. Jerry kicks Styles in the gut and takes him in the Cradle Piledriver, this time hitting the move. Lynn covers Styles and scores the pinfall to win the match in 14:24. Lynn helps Russo to his feet and the two men walk up the entranceway towards the back. AJ Styles stands in the ring with a clearly annoyed look on his face as the camera fades out. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT June 28, 2003 Clips are shown from last week’s AJ Styles vs. Jerry Lynn main event, which ended with Styles hitting a moonsault off of the top rope onto Russo outside of the ring. When Styles goes back into the ring, Lynn is able to capitalize and hit the cradle piledriver to get the pin. Styles is shown looking angry in the ring, while Russo and Lynn celebrate on their way to the back. Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and tells us that tonight Tony Mamaluke will take on Doug Williams, plus Kid Kash goes one on one with Mike Sanders. Vince Russo makes his way down to the ring to a chorus of boos. He enters the ring and smiles, clearly enjoying the jeers. Russo takes a microphone out of his back pocket and turns it on. VINCE RUSSO – I’m out here alone tonight because I’ve given Jerry Lynn the night off. I want him to be fresh for next week’s World Title Tournament. And speaking of the tournament, AJ Styles, I know right now you’re kicking yourself over what happened last week. I know that you’re angry about losing to Jerry Lynn. Losing your spot in the world title tournament. But Styles, let’s just get something straight. It wasn’t my fault that you lost. I didn’t screw you AJ. I came down to the ring to simply offer my moral support for Jerry Lynn. It was you AJ that decided to attack me. It was you that cost yourself the match. And I just want to make sure you realize that. Vince Russo did not screw AJ Styles. AJ Styles screwed AJ Styles! The crowd begins booing loudly. An “AJ” chant starts. VINCE RUSSO – That’s right, you idiots cheer for him. It doesn’t matter. He can come out here right now and kick my ass. It wouldn’t make a difference. Because next week, live from Philadelphia, we’re having the X World Title Tournament and AJ Styles won’t even be allowed in the building! He lost his shot and that’s all their is to it! AJ’s music begins blasting through the arena as the crowd cheers loudly for Styles. AJ walks out of the entrance curtain. He has an intense look on his face. Russo begins looking around the ring, clearly worried. Styles enters the ring and stands across from Russo. VINCE RUSSO – Now AJ, just calm down a second. You don’t want to do anything that you may regret later. AJ charges towards Russo and tackles him to the mat. He begins punching Russo repeatedly. Six security guards quickly run down to the ring. They grab Styles and pull him off of Russo. Vince pulls himself up. He picks up the microphone. VINCE RUSSO – Remove this piece of s*** from my arena! The six security guards carry Styles to the back. VINCE RUSSO – Everybody wave goodbye to AJ! Russo mockingly waves as Styles is walked backstage and to an exit. Styles pulls his arms free from the grip of the guards and walks out of the building on his own. The guards close the door behind Styles. They stand in front of the door to make sure AJ can’t get back in. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Vince Russo is standing backstage, talking on his cell phone. VINCE RUSSO – Yeah, I kicked his ass out of the arena...No, he can’t get back in...No Jerry, you don’t need to come here. I gave you the night off...No, I’m fine...Jerry, you don’t have to...Okay fine, I’ll see you later. Russo closes his cell phone. He shakes his head, clearly worried some. The X Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan stand in the ring. Daniels has a microphone. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – As you can see, Donovan and I are here to officially kick off the Daniels and Morgan Invitational to find a deserving team to challenge for our tag team titles. So let’s get this going. First, allow me to introduce the team of Chris Divine and Quiet Storm. Divine Storm walks down to the ring. They enter the ring and stand opposite to Daniels and Morgan. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – And now here are their challengers, a team that has taken myself and Donovan to the limits before, though we still walked out as the winners, here are Dick Togo and Ikuto Hidaka. Dick Togo and Ikuto Hidaka walk down to the ring. They enter the ring and stand across from Divine Storm. Daniels and Morgan begin to leave the ring when the music of America’s Most Wanted begins playing. James Storm and Chris Harris walk out to ringside. Daniels and Morgan leave the ring and stand on the opposite side of America’s Most Wanted. Divine Storm take on Dick Togo and Ikuto Hidaka. The match goes 6:20, ending with Togo hitting a diving senton on Chris Divine and scoring the clean victory. Dick Togo and Ikuto Hidaka advance in the Daniels and Morgan Invitational Tournament. During the match, James Storm and Chris Harris simply watch the action. Once the bell rings to end the match, America’s Most Wanted walks to the back. Joey Styles wonders what exactly Storm and Harris were doing, or possibly planning, by standing out here during the match. COMMERCIAL BREAK... “The Future” Chris Sabin and Michael Shane go one on one in a return match from last week. The match starts off with Shane slapping Sabin around some, clearly not taking his challenger seriously. Before long, Sabin is able to take Shane down, receiving praise from the crowd and surprise from Shane. Michael Shane steps his game up and focuses on battling Sabin, but in the end Chris is able to take Shane and hit the Future Shock. He covers Shane and scores the victory in 10:47. As Sabin celebrates his victory after the match, Frankie “The Future” Kazarian comes running out of the audience and into the ring. Joey Styles quickly puts over Kazarian as a promising young athlete, but seems unsure as to what he is doing in the ring. Kazarian grabs Sabin from behind, swings him around, and hits a DDT. Kazarian begins stomping on Sabin repeatedly as four referees run down to the ring. They grab Kazarian and remove him from the ring. As he is forced to leave, Kazarian repeatedly screams back to Sabin “Who’s the future?” COMMERCIAL BREAK... The Messiah heads down to the ring to a chorus of boos. Joey Styles reminds us that last week The Messiah viciously beat down Tommy Dreamer with a steel chair, making it clear that their friendship is finished. The Messiah stands in the center of the ring with a microphone. THE MESSIAH – Tommy Dreamer. The Innovator Of Violence. The Extreme Legend. The man that I’ve been compared to my entire career. Tommy, when I can into this company, I knew you would be here. And I knew that this was my chance to finally show people that I’m not just like you. I’m better. You wanted to be my friend Tommy and I gave you a chance. But when you DDTed me a few weeks ago, you made me realize that I had lost focus on my goal. So I’m here tonight to officially announce that I have entered The X World Title Tournament and, thanks to Vince Russo, next week it will be me and you Dreamer in a first round match. And trust me, I know what it will mean if I can beat you one on one in Philadelphia. So understand that I will do whatever I need to do to beat you next week. Tommy Dreamer’s music suddenly begins playing. Dreamer, kendo stick in hand, walks down to the ring with an intense look on his face. The Messiah throws his microphone down and motions for Dreamer to come on into the ring. Tommy takes the invitation and charges towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope. The Messiah begins stomping on Tommy’s back repeatedly. He picks Dreamer up and Irish whips him into the ropes, but Dreamer runs back and catches Messiah with a clothesline. Dreamer grabs his kendo stick and begins walloping Messiah with it hard across the back. Messiah manages to roll out of the ring. He motions with his hand that he doesn’t want anymore of Dreamer, but Tommy isn’t ready to let him go that easily. Dreamer quickly jumps out of the ring and nails Messiah across the back of the head with the kendo stick. He throws Messiah over the audience guardrail. Messiah begins crawling on the floor, trying his best to get away from Dreamer. Tommy continues following after him. The Messiah gets to his feet and grabs a folding chair from under a standing fan. He doesn’t bother to fold the chair, instead throwing it open at Dreamer. The shot stops Dreamer momentarily. Messiah continues running. He makes his way to the back door of the arena. Messiah opens the door and quickly runs out. Dreamer chases after him, also leaving the building. Outside of the building, The Messiah walks by Vince Russo, who is standing outside waiting for Jerry Lynn. Messiah looks back and doesn’t see Dreamer. He stops for a moment and starts to catch his breath. Suddenly, Tommy comes running towards Messiah with the kendo stick, nailing him hard in the head. Messiah instantly drops to the ground. Dreamer stands over Messiah. He begins to pull himself up using Tommy’s leg. Dreamer pulls Messiah up and prepares for a DDT right on the sidewalk. Before he can hit the move, Messiah is able to hit a low blow on Dreamer. As Tommy holds himself in pain, The Messiah begins running away again. He gets to the corner and notices a NYC Bus stopped at a red light. Messiah runs over and bangs on the bus’s door. The driver looks nervous. THE MESSIAH – Open the ******* door! The driver finally opens the bus door. Messiah runs onto the bus. The doors close and the bus takes off. Dreamer stands watching as the bus pulls away. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Trinity, along with Steve Corino, comes down to the ring. She goes one on one with Alexis Laree. The match only lasts 0:29, however, as Laree is disqualified when she brings a chair into the ring and slams it hard across Trinity’s back. Laree continues beating down Trinity with the chair. Corino enters the ring and grabs Laree’s wrist to pull her around. Laree looks at Corino for a moment. Corino releases Laree’s wrist and takes a few steps back, holding his hands up to show Laree that he won’t touch her. Laree turns back to Trinity and is about to hit her with the chair again when Kid Kash comes running down to the ring. Kash grabs the chair from Laree and hits her in the head with it, sending Laree down to the mat. Kash then turns to Corino. He nails Steve with the chair, sending the King Of Old School down to the mat. Kash throws the chair down and leaves the ring. He helps Trinity out of the ring and to the back. James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke are backstage. JAMES MARITATO – Are you ready for your match tonight piazan? TONY MAMALUKE – Well about dat Guido, I was dinkin, do I really need ta fight Williams? I mean can’t we just have him whacked or somethin. Call Vito. He’ll do it for free. JAMES MARITATO – Oh! Whatsdamatta wit you? Legit businessmen like ourselves do not have people whacked. Mamaluke rolls his eyes at this. JAMES MARITATO – Besides, Vito got busted last month. Now come on, you got a match to win. Maritato walks away. Mamaluke shakes his head and walks away. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Kid Kash and Trinity are standing in the locker room. Steve Corino comes walking in. STEVE CORINO – Trinity, we need to talk. Kid Kash steps into Corino’s face. KID KASH – Forget talking. Forget everything. Corino, this isn’t about women or teams or any of that crap anymore. This is about you and me. STEVE CORINO – I’m sorry, but I wasn’t talking to you. I was talking to my valet. KID KASH – You mean the one you were going to let Alexis Laree destroy with that chair? Corino pushes Kash out of the way and grabs Trinity’s arm. He begins pulling her. STEVE CORINO – Come on Trinity, we have work to do. TRINITY – Ouch! Let go of me! Trinity pulls her arm out of Corino’s grasp. He looks annoyed by this. STEVE CORINO – Maybe you didn’t hear me bitch, I said let’s go. Trinity slaps Corino hard across the face. TRINITY – David’s right, you were just using me to get to him and it’s not going to work anymore. I’m done being your valet. Corino laughs as he steps towards the locker room door. STEVE CORINO – You know, you two really are perfect for each other. Just remember, when you work with somebody, you get to know things about them. And yes Trinity, I know things you wish I didn’t. Corino leaves the locker room. Kid Kash looks confused at Trinity. Tony Mamaluke, along with James Maritato, takes on Doug Williams next. Williams dominates most of the match, using his brute force to throw Mamaluke around like a child’s doll. Maritato jumps up on the side of the ring to take a shot at Williams, but he is simply knocked to the floor by the British star. Williams takes Mamaluke and hits the Chaos Theory, following it up with a pinfall to score the victory in 4:49. After the match, Williams stands staring down a clearly scared Maritato, who heads to the back with Mamamluke. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Mike Sanders is walking backstage. Scoot Andrews comes walking up from behind him. He grabs Sanders and pulls him around. The two men stand face to face, both waiting for the other to make a move. After a couple of seconds, they settle for simply staring at each other. Their eyes saying more then any words could. Joey Styles reminds us that right here next week on X Entertainment it will be the eight-man tournament to crown the first-ever X World Champion, live from Philadelphia. In the tournament will be Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino, Tommy Dreamer, The Messiah, Christopher Daniels, Scoot Andrews, Sonny Siaki, and the winner of the Kid Kash vs. Mike Sanders match that is coming up next. With the stakes higher then ever, next Saturday night will truly be a show you can’t miss. Vince Russo is standing outside of the building. A black car pulls up in front of him. The car door opens and Jerry Lynn steps out of the car. VINCE RUSSO – Jerry, I told you to take the night off. JERRY LYNN – I don’t need the night off. Where’s Styles? VINCE RUSSO – I took care of him earlier. Even he’s not stupid enough to stick around here and... Suddenly, AJ Styles attacks Jerry Lynn from behind with a forearm smash. Styles grabs Lynn and begins punching him repeatedly. Russo tries to pull AJ off of Lynn, but Styles shoves Russo to the floor. Lynn takes advantage of this and hits Styles from behind. He goes to smash AJ’s face into the hood of the car, but Styles blocks this and instead slams Jerry’s face into the car. Styles pulls himself up onto the hood of the car. He picks Lynn up and takes him into the Styles Clash, hitting the move on the hood of the car. Styles leaves Lynn laying on the car. He walks away smiling at what he’s done. COMMERCIAL BREAK... A black screen appears. On the screen the word “RUSH” appears. That word fades away and the words “Get Ready To Feel It” appear. After a few moments, they disappear and the words “Coming Soon” are shown. Kid Kash, along with Trinity, goes one on one with Mike Sanders in our main event. After eight minutes, both Kash and Sanders are down on the mat. The referee begins a double ten count on the two competitors. At the count of seven, both men are back to their feet. They begin exchanging hard chops across the chest. As this is happening, Steve Corino comes walking down to the ring. He grabs Trinity by the hair and holds her. Kash looks out at Corino holding Trinity. STEVE CORINO – I’m going to make this simple Kash. You either forfeit this match right now or I’m going to reveal to the world what I know about Trinity. Kash is about to answer when Sanders goes to attack him from behind. Kash turns and kicks Sanders in the gut. He spikes Sanders to the mat with a DDT. Kash covers Sanders and scores the pinfall and victory in 11:02. STEVE CORINO – You made your decision Kash, and now you’re going to know the truth about Trinity here. The truth is Trinity... Before Corino can finish his statement, Trinity hits Corino with a low blow. She turns around and grabs him in a DDT position, spiking him hard to the arena floor. Kid Kash rolls out of the ring and stands next to Trinity as Corino tries to pull himself up from the floor. Joey Styles reminds us to tune in next week for the X World Title Tournament live from Philadelphia. Until then, goodnight! ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT July 5, 2003 A short video showcasing the eight men involved in the X World Title Tournament is shown. The video ends with a still shot of the X World Championship Belt, seen here for the first time. AJ Styles walks towards the front door of the building. He goes to enter the building but is stopped by two security guards standing in front of the door. SECURITY GUARD 1 – I’m sorry Mr. Styles, but we were told by Vince Russo to not let you in the building. AJ STYLES – You’ve got to be kidding me. SECURITY GUARD 1 – Sorry but we have our orders. AJ shakes his head, clearly annoyed. Joey Styles quickly welcomes us to The X’s Philadelphia debut, on a night where The X will crown it’s first-ever World Champion. Tommy Dreamer and The Messiah go one on one in the first match of the World Title Tournament. The match starts off with both wrestlers exchanging punches, each one hitting a little harder then the last. Messiah eventually breaks the series by poking Dreamer in the eye. The Messiah takes the advantage, keeping Dreamer down on the mat and working him over for a few minutes. Messiah has Dreamer in a sleeper hold but Dreamer is able to push out of it, sending Messiah running into the ropes. Dreamer prepares for Messiah to run back towards him, but Messiah grabs hold of the top rope and stops himself. He looks to the crowd and confidently smiles for a moment. Dreamer charges towards Messiah and hits him from behind with a lariat, sending Messiah over the top rope and crashing to the floor. Dreamer leaves the ring and grabs his kendo stick. He begins unloading on Messiah with the kendo stick, hitting Messiah repeatedly in the ribs and head. The referee begs Dreamer to bring the match back into the ring, but Dreamer clearly wants blood. He wallops Messiah hard on the top of the head, sending Messiah down to the floor. When Messiah looks up, blood is pouring out of his forehead. Messiah uses the steel ring steps to help himself up. Dreamer charges towards Messiah for a clothesline, but Messiah hits a drop toe hold, sending Dreamer face first into the steel steps. Dreamer lays down on the floor recovering. Messiah stands up against the audience guardrail, also recovering. Joey Styles screams that we have to take a commercial break but this match isn’t over yet! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Dreamer and Messiah have both gone back into the ring. Messiah’s face is covered in a crimson mask. Dreamer is also bleeding a bit from above his right eye. The two wrestlers go back and forth with wrestling holds, with both guys finding a way to reverse or escape their opponent’s move. Messiah charges off of the ropes and takes Dreamer down with a floating DDT. He covers Dreamer and the referee counts the 1-2-NO! Dreamer is able to get his shoulder up before the three. Joey Styles puts over how big of a victory it would be for Messiah to win this match, beating Tommy Dreamer in Philadelphia. Messiah waits a moment for Dreamer to stand. He runs and goes for another floating DDT, but this time Dreamer is able to push Messiah off, sending The Messiah crashing face-first to the mat. Dreamer covers Messiah but scores only a two count. He picks Messiah up and goes for a DDT, but Messiah is able to fight his way out of it. Messiah runs into the ropes and charges back towards Dreamer to attempt a move, but Dreamer catches him and hits a Spicolli Driver. Dreamer covers Messiah and scores the 1-2-3. Tommy Dreamer wins in 24:02 to advance to the second round of The X World Title Tournament. Kid Kash is backstage with Trinity. KID KASH – Come on Trinity, just tell me what your secret is. TRINITY – I don’t have a secret. KID KASH – Come on, if you tell me, then Corino can’t use it against me. TRINITY – I said I don’t have a secret. KID KASH – Are you cheating on me? Is that it? Or are you pregnant? Or did you used to be a man? Come on, tell me! TRINITY – I don’t have a secret! Steve Corino walks up behind Trinity and smiles. STEVE CORINO – But you do have a secret, Trinity. Trinity turns towards Corino. She looks almost ready to hit him but Kid Kash grabs her and holds her back. STEVE CORINO – And I have a feeling tonight, your secret is going to become a matter of public knowledge. Corino walks away, laughing. COMMERCIAL BREAK... AJ Styles is standing outside of the building with the two security guards. AJ STYLES – Come on, you have to let me in the building. SECURITY GUARD 1 – Sorry but we can’t. A third Security Guard walks out of the building and over to the first two. SECURITY GUARD 3 – Hey guys, I’ll take over here. Security Guard 1 and 2 walk into the building, leaving Security Guard 3 alone with Styles. SECURITY GUARD 3 – You waiting for something Mister...? Styles begins smiling. AJ STYLES – Uh, Lynn...Jerry Lynn. SECURITY GUARD 3 – Mister Lynn. AJ STYLES – No, I was just going into the building. Security Guard 3 looks over his clipboard list. SECURITY GUARD 3 – Okay, go ahead Mister Lynn. Styles smiles and walks into the building. Scoot Andrews stands in the ring. Steve Corino walks out to the ring. He enters the ring and asks for a microphone. STEVE CORINO – After much discussion with Vince Russo, we decided that this special match needs to have a special referee. So please welcome the special guest referee, Mike Sanders! Mike Sanders, complete with a referee’s shirt, walks down to the ring. Scoot Andrews is clearly bothered by this. The bell sounds to officially start the match. Scoot warns Sanders that he better call this match fairly. As he is speaking to Sanders, Steve Corino grabs Andrews from behind and rolls him up. Sanders right away counts a quick 1-2-3. Steve Corino wins the match and advances to the semi-finals of the tournament in 0:33. After the match, Corino and Sanders right away run out of the ring and walk to the back. Andrews stands in the ring clearly annoyed at what happened. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Kid Kash, with Trinity, takes on Sonny Siaki in the next match of The X World Title Tournament. The match ends in 7:24 when Kash hits a DDT on Siaki and scores the pinfall. Kid Kash advances in the tournament. James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke are sitting in their locker room. TONY MAMALUKE – You know Guido, we need ta do somethin about this Doug Williams guy. JAMES MARITATO – Don’t worry Tony, I’m way ahead of you. Here, look at this. Maritato hands Tony a newspaper. Mamaluke reads what James is pointing to. TONY MAMALUKE – For rent, two bedroom, one bathroom, no runnin water... JAMES MARITATO – Not that! Moron. The one next to that. TONY MAMALUKE – Oh. Wanted, hard hittin mo-fo to fight and hurt a large, British, ape like creature. WPWP. JAMES MARITATO – See what I mean? TONY MAMALUKE – What’s WPWP? JAMES MARITATO – Will Pay With Pizza. TONY MAMALUKE – Do you dink anybody’s gonna answer dis ad? The phone sitting on the chair next to Mamaluke begins ringing. Maritato smiles. JAMES MARITATO – Well, you gonna answer that? TONY MAMALUKE – Dat’s not my job. Maritato walks over and picks up the phone. He looks annoyed at Tony. JAMES MARITATO – Not your job. TONY MAMALUKE – I didn’t even know we had a phone. JAMES MARITATO – Hello?...Yes, that was our ad...Oh really?...The hardest hittin mo fo on the East Coast?...Yeah, that sounds promisin to me...Next week? Sure, sounds good. Maritato hangs up the telephone. TONY MAMALUKE – Who was dat? JAMES MARITATO – That was the guy that’s gonna solve the Doug Williams problem right here next week. Maritato smiles confidently at Mamaluke. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Jerry Lynn stands in the ring awaiting his opponent. Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan walk backstage. Suddenly, James Storm and Chris Harris run behind Daniels and Morgan and attack them. Storm and Harris punch Morgan repeatedly, eventually sending him into an open closet door. Storm pulls the door closed and locks it. Meanwhile, Harris slams Daniels’ head up against the brick wall. Storm walks over and helps Harris double-teaming on Daniels, punching him all the way down the hall. Daniels comes falling out of the entranceway towards the ring. Storm and Harris walk out and continue going after Daniels. They pick Daniels up and roll him into the ring. Harris lifts Daniels up and hits the Catatonic. Storm then lifts Daniels up and holds him in a laying position on his knees, as Harris heads to the top rope and jumps down with a leg drop on Daniels, hitting the Death Sentence. Harris and Storm leave the ring. Daniels is unconscious on the mat. Jerry Lynn looks at Daniels for a moment. He then glances over to the referee. Then back to Daniels. Lynn turns back to the referee and demands that he ring the bell. The referee obliges and the bell sounds to start the match. Lynn runs over and covers Daniels, making sure to hook the leg, as the referee counts the 1-2-3. Jerry Lynn wins the match and advances in The X World Title Tournament in 0:06. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Tommy Dreamer takes on Steve Corino in the first semi-finals X World Title Tournament match. The two brawlers waste no time in making their way out of the ring and fighting around, making use of the guardrails, steel chairs, and the ring steps. After a few minutes, the two wrestlers make their way back into the ring. Dreamer goes for a DDT, but Corino is able to reverse and take Dreamer over in a suplex, bridging over into a pinning position that scores the 1-2-3. Steve Corino wins the match in 7:14 and advances to the finals of the X World Title Tournament. After the match, Tommy Dreamer offers Steve Corino a handshake. Corino laughs at Dreamer’s attempt at sportsmanship. Corino begins to leave the ring but Dreamer grabs him by the arm and pulls him back in. He again extends his hand to Corino for a handshake. The crowd begins chanting “Shake His Hand” as Corino looks around at the fans. He begins to reach his hand towards Dreamer to shake. Just as Corino’s hand is about to make contact with Dreamer’s, The Messiah enters the ring behind Dreamer and attacks him from behind with Dreamer’s own Kendo Stick. Messiah, who’s head is bandaged from the match earlier tonight, unloads on Dreamer with a series of vicious kendo stick shots, eventually breaking the stick in half. A couple of referees rush into the ring to check on Dreamer. Messiah holds the broken stick up proudly as he leaves the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Jerry Lynn and Kid Kash go one on one in the second semi-finals match of The X World Title Tournament. The match starts off with the two gifted wrestlers exchanging holds and maneuvers, but soon things become heated. Kash hits a dropkick on Lynn that sends him over the top rope and to the floor. Kash waits a moment for Lynn to stand up and when Lynn does, Kash runs and hits a suicide dive out of the ring and onto Lynn. After the two wrestlers recover, they begin exchanging punches, causing Lynn to fall backwards into the audience. Kash jumps up onto the guardrail and hits a Hurricanrana on Lynn in the audience. The two wrestlers continue exchanging punches in the audience, making their way back towards an audience entranceway. As they are fighting under the entrance, AJ Styles appears on top of the entrance in the audience. He dives down off of the entrance and hits a moonsault on Lynn. As Styles, Lynn, and Kash are laid out on the floor, Joey Styles informs us that we have to take a commercial break! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Lynn and Kash have made their way back into the ring. Joey Styles informs us that AJ Styles was removed from the building during the commercial break. Lynn and Kash continue fighting back and forth. Lynn kicks Kash in the gut and takes him into the cradle piledriver, hitting the move and leaving Kash clearly finished. Lynn decides not to go for the pin, instead picking up Kash and going for a second cradle piledriver. The referee begs Lynn not to do this, but Lynn simply pushes the referee down to the mat. As the referee recovers, Trinity climbs up to the top rope and hits a moonsault onto Lynn. Kash rolls over and covers Lynn. The referee sees this and right away counts the 1-2-3. Kid Kash wins the match and advances to the X-World Title Tournament Finals in 15:31. Kash stands in the ring catching his breath. Steve Corino comes running down to the ring. He slides in and attacks Kash. Corino demands that the referee call for the bell. The referee does so and the X World Title Tournament Finals are officially underway. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Corino has Kash in the camel clutch. The referee checks on Kash, lifting his arm to see if it will fall, but Kash right away lifts his arm and begins punching Corino in the head repeatedly. Kash drops down and hits Corino with a jawbreaker. Kash goes for the cover but scores only a two count. Kid Kash lifts Corino up and whips him into the ropes. Corino comes running back and ducks a clothesline. He stands behind Kash and waits for him to turn. When Kash does, Corino hits him with a super kick that sends Kash straight down to the mat. Corino is about to go for the cover when Trinity climbs up to the top rope. She goes for a moonsault on Corino, but Steve pulls the referee in front of him, causing Trinity to take out the referee. Corino rolls out of the ring. Trinity and Kash both get to their feet. Corino grabs a microphone. STEVE CORINO – Kash, this game has gone on long enough. It’s time that I, Steve Corino, reveal the truth about Trinity there. See the truth is...the truth is Trinity has been holding that knife to your back for a long long time. Kash looks confused at Corino. Suddenly, Trinity hits Kash with a low blow. Kash doubles over in pain as Trinity grabs him and spikes him to the mat with a DDT. Corino comes back into the ring and high fives Trinity. He then picks Kash up and hits the Old School Expulsion. Corino covers Kash as the referee comes to and crawls over to count the 1-2-3. Steve Corino wins the match and is crowned the first-ever X World Champion in 6:44. After the match, Corino holds the X World Title belt up proudly as Trinity poses in front of him and the cameras fade out. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT July 12, 2003 A short video airs highlighting the closing moments of the Steve Corino vs. Kid Kash World Title Match, which ended with Trinity turning on Kash and helping Corino win the title. The video ends with Corino and Trinity posing for the crowd, Corino holding The X World Title belt proudly in the air. The camera fades in from the New York City arena. Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and tells us that later tonight Mike Sanders and Michael Shane will take on the Maritato Waste Management Company in the Daniels and Morgan Tag Team Invitational. The Messiah, kendo stick in hand, stands in the ring surrounded by a fifteen-foot high steel cage. THE MESSIAH – Dreamer, last week we didn’t have a fight, we had a war. And you beat me. Not only did o win the match, but you kicked my ass. You left me bloody and bruised. Most people wouldn’t even survive a beating like the one I took. But what it’s done is motivate me. It’s made me realize exactly what I must do. See as I sat in the back, having my bloody scalp stitched back together, I decided that after tasting my own blood, what I wanted now was to taste your blood Dreamer. So as you can see, I’ve got my weapon, and we have this cage. Why don’t you come out here and bleed for me? Tommy Dreamer’s music begins playing as he walks down to the ring. Dreamer enters the open door of the steel cage and is right away attacked by The Messiah. The bell sounds to officially start the match. The referee attempts to lock the cage door, but Messiah pushes him aside so that he can use the door as a weapon. Messiah slams the door into Dreamer’s head repeatedly. He lifts Tommy back up and tosses him face first into the cage. As Dreamer recovers, Messiah takes his kendo stick and lays it across the top corner. He picks Dreamer up and drops him down throat first across the kendo stick. Dreamer lays on the mat, kicking in pain, as Messiah stands thinking about his next move. He pulls Dreamer up and goes to throw him face first into the side of the cage, but Tommy is able to block the move with his hands. He begins punching Messiah repeatedly in the gut, causing Messiah to stumble backwards. Dreamer runs and hits a swinging neckbreaker on the Messiah. Both men lay on the mat recovering. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The match continues as Dreamer beats down on Messiah some, making use of the kendo stick that Messiah brought into the ring. Dreamer wallops Messiah repeatedly in the head with the kendo stick, causing Messiah to be busted open. Dreamer continues using the kendo stick on Messiah until it finally breaks. He throws the stick down and quickly exits the ring. Dreamer grabs a steel chair and holds it up for the crowd’s approval. He heads back into the ring with the chair, but the time he took to get the chair has allowed Messiah to regroup. Messiah runs and dropkicks Dreamer, sending the chair into Tommy’s face. As Dreamer recovers, Messiah reaches into his pants pocket and pulls out a pair of handcuffs. He places one side of the handcuffs on Dreamer. Messiah drags Dreamer towards a side of the cage. He forces Tommy to stand up and places the other side of the handcuffs on the cage, so that Dreamer’s arm is extended as far as it will go. Dreamer struggles around to try and escape but it’s no use as Messiah takes out a second pair of handcuffs. After hitting Dreamer in the head with the handcuffs, Messiah uses them to cuff Dreamer’s other arm to the cage. Dreamer stands, arms extended and cuffed to the cage, as Messiah grabs the steel chair Tommy brought into the ring. Messiah stands in front of Dreamer and lines up for a chair shot. He swings and nails Dreamer extremely hard in the head. Dreamer’s head slumps down as he has clearly been knocked out. Messiah grabs Dreamer’s head and pulls it up. Blood begins to drip down his forehead. Messiah wipes some of Tommy’s blood on his fingers. He then licks his blood soaked fingers. Messiah turns and walks out of the ring as the referee attempts to take Dreamer down from the side of the cage. COMMERCIAL BREAK... X World Champion Steve Corino stands in the ring along with Trinity. Corino confidently smiles as he looks at the title belt on his shoulder. STEVE CORINO – It looks good on me, doesn’t it? Now I know a lot of you are thinking that what I did to win this title wasn’t right. That it was unfair. And I won’t deny that. But if I have to choose between being honest and being a champion, I’d rather be a champion. The question now is who wants a shot at my title? A small but noticeable “Kid Kash” chant starts. STEVE CORINO – Okay, let me rephrase. Who do I want to give a shot at my title? And no, Kid Kash is not the answer. See there’s nothing I can get from beating Kid Kash again. I’ve already taken his respect. And I’ve taken his pride. And, let’s not forget, I’ve taken his girl. So what’s left for me? Nothing. That’s why I want a new challenger. Somebody who will be a real challenge for me. AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring as his theme music plays. He stands face to face with Corino. AJ STYLES – You’re right Corino, the way you won the title wasn’t fair. And you know what else wasn’t fair? Me not being in the World Title Tournament. But now you say you want a real challenge for the title? Well they don’t get more real then me. Corino is about to answer when Vince Russo, microphone in hand, comes walking out. VINCE RUSSO – Hold on just one second! AJ Styles, where do you get the balls to come out here and cry about not being in the world title tournament? Like you didn’t have your chance to be in it. But why you feel the need to go out and cause Jerry Lynn, the man that should be world champion right now, to lose in his match just isn’t right! And the way I see it, you screwed yourself over AJ because you don’t deserve to ever fight for the world title. Ever! STEVE CORINO – Now wait a second Russo. Styles here is one of the best wrestlers in the business today. He actually would be a challenge to fight. And I would like to fight him. VINCE RUSSO – You want a challenge Steve? I’ll give you a challenge. Because right here tonight you will defend the X World Title against Jerry Lynn. STEVE CORINO – What about AJ? VINCE RUSSO – Why do you have such a hard on for this kid? You know what, if you win tonight Corino, then next week you can defend the title against Styles. But if Jerry Lynn wins the title, both you and AJ will never receive a title shot again! Russo drops the mic and walks to the back. Corino and Styles glance at each other in the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Chris Sabin stands in the ring, awaiting his opponent, the debuting Fast Eddie. Joey Styles begins to talk some about Sabin, but he quickly changes the subject to tell us that something is going on backstage. The camera cuts to the back where Michael Shane and Mike Sanders have been laid out. Both men are bleeding and clearly hurt on the floor. Referees and EMTs rush over to the two men. Joey Styles tells us that we have no idea who did this to Sanders and Shane, but considering the way they look, their match against the Maritato Waste Management Company tonight likely won’t happen. Fast Eddie makes his way to the ring and the match begins. Sabin and Eddie go back and forth with a series of fast paced moves. Joey Styles puts over how impressive Sabin has been the last few weeks. The match ends in 5:15 when Sabin hits the Future Shock and scores the pin. After the match, Frankie Kazarian comes running out of the audience and attacks Sabin. A couple of security guards quickly grab Kazarian and carry him away. Joey Styles again notes that while Kazarian is a great wrestler, he isn’t contracted here with The X. Kazarian screams “Who’s the future now?” as he is carried away. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Vince Russo stands backstage with two security guards. VINCE RUSSO – I cannot believe this. I can’t have people attacking each other backstage and ruining scheduled matches on my show. I want to know who attacked Mike Sanders and Michael Shane. And I want to know right now! Russo glances over and sees Scoot Andrews standing against the wall. Russo walks over to Scoot. VINCE RUSSO – Looks like I’ve got my wish. It was you, wasn’t it Andrews? You attacked Sanders and Michael Shane. SCOOT ANDREWS – It wasn’t me. VINCE RUSSO – Don’t give me that bull. You have motive after the way Sanders screwed you over in the World Title Tournament last week. SCOOT ANDREWS – The way I understand it, you’re the one that made him the special referee in my match, which also gives me motive to hurt you. Russo looks somewhat nervous. SCOOT ANDREWS – But I told you, it wasn’t me. I don’t attack people from behind. If I have a problem with somebody, I settle it to their face. Scoot stares intensely at Russo. Vince slowly steps back and walks away. Doug Williams stands in the ring. James Maritato and Tony Mamalike walk out to the ring. JAMES MARITATO – Williams, you messed with the wrong completely legit business company. Now we’ve hired this independent contractor and he’s gonna eliminate ya once and for all. Samoa Joe, Maritato’s independent contractor, comes walking down to the ring. Joe enters the ring and right away goes after Williams with some stiff shots. The referee calls for the bell to officially start the match. Samoa Joe dominates the first few minutes, using his stiff style to weaken Williams. Maritato and Mamaluke stand outside of the ring, enjoying every moment of the beatdown Williams is taking. Samoa Joe takes Doug into an abdominal stretch. Williams is clearly in pain as Maritato screams for Joe to “break ‘em in half!” Williams is too far from the ropes to break the hold, but he still refuses to tap. Samoa Joe begins punching Williams hard in his exposed ribs. Finally, after a few minutes in the hold, Doug starts to fight back with stiff punches to Joe’s head. This disorients Samoa Joe enough for Williams to hip toss him over to the mat. Williams falls to the mat as well. Both guys lay recovering as the referee begins a double ten count. By six, both men are up and exchanging hard chops across the chest. Williams backs Joe into the corner. He runs to hit a clothesline on Samoa Joe but Joe is able to hit Doug with a boot to the face. As Williams stumbles backwards, Samoa Joe climbs up in the corner. He only gets to the second rope before Williams runs over and grabs him around the waist. Williams hits a German suplex on Joe from the middle rope. He then covers Samoa Joe and scores the victory in 9:37. Williams stares at Maritato and Mamaluke, who fearfully look at each other before leaving the ringside area. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Sonny Siaki stands backstage. Vince Russo walks over to him. VINCE RUSSO – Listen Sonny, I’m not gonna be mad at you, I just want you to be honest and apologize for attacking Mike Sanders and Michael Shane. SONNY SIAKI – Sorry...but I didn’t do it. VINCE RUSSO – Of course you did! You have every reason to. You hate the fans, so you stole from them a match they really wanted to see tonight. SONNY SIAKI – You think that’s all I am? The guy that hates the fans? Siaki walks off clearly annoyed. Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan walk over to Russo. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Don’t worry Vince, you want to know who attacked Sanders and Shane and we’ve got the answer. VINCE RUSSO – Really? Well who? CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Oh no, not here. We’re going to do this in the ring. Daniels and Morgan walk away. Joey Styles wonders who could have attacked Sanders and Shane? As he talks, Daniels and Morgan walk down to the ring. The tag team champions enter the ring and stand in the center. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Tonight we were supposed to see the second match of the Daniels and Morgan tag team invitational, but that match has been cancelled because somebody decided to attack Mike Sanders and Michael Shane. The question now is who attacked them? And I think the answer is pretty obvious. There are two men around here who are angry because they were not allowed in our tournament. Two guys who just last week attacked me and caused me to lose my match in the World Title Tournament. And surely those are the two men that caused our tournament not to continue tonight. James Storm and Chris Harris. James Storm and Chris Harris come walking down to the ring. They stand face to face with Daniels and Morgan. CHRIS HARRIS – Do you really think we would attack another team just to stop your stupid tournament from continuing tonight? We may be angry about not being in the tournament, but we would never stoop to that level. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – But you did last week when you attacked me. CHRIS HARRIS – That was different. Besides, if anybody attacked Sanders and Shane, it was probably you two. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – And why would we do that? CHRIS HARRIS – To make it look like we did it. To put us on Vince Russo’s bad side. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – That’s not a bad idea. But we didn’t do it. CHRIS HARRIS – Well if you didn’t do it, and we didn’t do it, then who did it? The lights in the arena suddenly go out. After a moment, multi-colored lights begin flashing back and forth all around the arena. Rave music begins playing loudly as the crowd starts to cheer. The lights come back up as Izzy and Dixie walk down to the ring. The two men dance around the ring as Storm, Harris, Daniels, and Morgan stare in disbelief. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Wait a second here! Just wait. Who exactly are you two guys? IZZY – We’re the Dirty White Dawgs! And this party just became ours! CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Oh I see, so you guys attacked Sanders and Shane to make an impact in your debut, is that it? DIXIE – No man, we attacked them because that fool Michael Shane took our stash! Though he denied it. Hell maybe he didn’t take it. Maybe we just finished it. CHRIS HARRIS – Look you two rejects, why don’t you just get out of the ring before somebody gets hurt. Harris and Storm turn around for a moment. Izzy and Dixie look at each other. They charge forward and attack Harris and Storm. A referee comes running down to the ring as Izzy and Dixie continue the beating. Daniels and Morgan exit the ring as the bell sounds and the match is officially underway. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The action continues between Harris, Storm, Izzy and Dixie as Harris throws Dixie over the top rope and to the floor. Izzy stands right behind Harris and hits a dropkick on him, sending Harris falling out of the ring as well. Izzy then springboards up onto the top rope and dives down onto Harris and Dixie as they get to their feet. With all three men recovering, James Storm runs and dives through the top and middle rope, landing on the pile. The four men recover and make their way back into the ring. Dixie heads up to the top rope and goes for a flying cross body on Chris Harris, but Harris catches him and hits the catatonic. Harris covers Dixie but Izzy is right there to break up the pin. Storm runs over and grabs Izzy. After punching him a few times, he takes Izzy into the set-up for the Death Sentence. Chris Harris heads up to the top rope to perform his half of the move, but Christopher Daniels is there to shove Harris off of the top, sending him crashing to the arena floor. Izzy takes Storm and hits a snap suplex, holding onto the bridge for the pin. The Dirty White Dawgs win the match in 8:06. Jerry Lynn stretches backstage. Joey Styles tells us that Lynn takes on Steve Corino for The X World Title, next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Steve Corino defends The X World Title against Jerry Lynn in the main event of the evening. The end of the match comes when Lynn has Corino set up in the cradle piledriver. Trinity climbs up to the top rope and hits a moonsault onto Lynn to stop the move. As the referee yells at Trinity, who is down on the mat recovering, Kid Kash comes running down to the ring. Kash slides in, grabs Steve Corino, and spikes him to the mat with a Tornado DDT. Kash slides out of the ring quickly so that the referee never sees him. Lynn crawls over and covers Corino. The referee runs over and counts the pinfall, but it’s broken up at two as Trinity pulls the referee out of the ring. Trinity enters the ring and kicks Jerry Lynn hard across the chest. Suddenly, Alexis Laree runs down to the ring. She stands behind Trinity and waits for her to turn around. Trinity turns, but before Alexis can perform a move, Steve Corino grabs her and drops her to the mat with a tombstone piledriver. Lynn charges towards Corino for a clothesline, but Steve is able to backdrop him over the top rope. Lynn somehow lands standing on the side of the ring. He reaches in and grabs Corino, but Trinity comes running up Corino’s back, hitting Lynn with a kick to the face. This disorients Lynn enough for Corino to suplex him back into the ring, hooking the legs to get a pinfall predicament. The referee quickly crawls back into the ring and counts the three. Steve Corino wins the match and retains the X World Title in 10:08. Corino grabs the title and quickly retreats up the entranceway with Trinity. AJ Styles comes walking out. He enters the ring and stares down at Jerry Lynn. Styles laughs as Joey Styles reminds us it will be Corino taking on AJ for the title next week! ©2003 The X-Entertainment

Lynn continues walking, leaving Russo with a worried look on his face. The opening montage, set to Linkin Park’s “Faint”, airs. Joey Styles welcomes us to the show, telling us that Steve Corino will defend The X World Title against AJ Styles later tonight. As Joey is speaking, Chris Sabin walks down to the ring. Sabin enters the ring and looks into the audience. CHRIS SABIN – Hey Frankie Kazarian, you have a problem with me? Why don’t you be a man about it and face me in the ring instead of attacking me from behind? I know you don’t have a contract here in The X, but then I don’t care. If you want me, come and face me like a man, you little bitch! Frankie Kazarian stands in the audience. He walks towards the guardrail and climbs over it. Two security guards right away grab Kazarian, keeping him from going into the ring. CHRIS SABIN – No, let him through! Kazarian may not have earned a contract here in The X, but he has earned the ass kicking of his life! The security guards oblige and allow Kazarian to enter the ring. As soon as Frankie slides into the ring, Sabin begins stomping on him. A referee quickly enters the ring and calls for the bell to start the match. Sabin pulls Kazarian to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Frankie comes running back and hits a Hurricanrana. Kazarian takes the advantage for a few minutes, hitting Sabin with a number of moves and shouting out “I’m the Future!” after each. Sabin rests against the ropes for a moment. Kazarian charges towards him with a lariat. Sabin ducks and sends Frankie falling out of the ring with a back body drop. Sabin walks across the ring. He runs, springboards up onto the top rope, and moonsaults down onto Kazarian. Both men are quickly back to their feet and begin exchanging punches. Sabin sets Kazarian up against the guardrail. Chris climbs up onto the side of the ring and jumps off with a dropkick straight to Kazarian’s jaw. Sabin picks Kazarian up and throws him back into the ring. After a few more moves, Sabin prepares to hit the Future Shock on Kazarian. He begins to lift Frankie up but Kazarian flips over and lands on his feet behind Sabin. He rolls Sabin up into a pinfall. Kazarian grabs the ropes for extra leverage, which the referee doesn’t see, and scores the three count. Frankie Kazarian wins in 10:42. Kazarian quickly runs out of the ring. He stands in the entranceway with his hands raised in victory. Sabin sits looking annoyed in the ring. Vince Russo comes walking out behind Kazarian. He places his hand on Frankie’s shoulder. VINCE RUSSO – Something doesn’t seem to be right here. Sabin, you have a contract here with The X, and Frankie here doesn’t. Yet Frankie’s the one that won this match, not you Sabin. Seems like the wrong guy has the contract, doesn’t it? Sabin mouths that Kazarian cheated to win but Russo clearly doesn’t care about this. VINCE RUSSO – Don’t worry though, I have the perfect way to fix this problem. Next week in Philadelphia, we’re gonna have us an old fashioned winner gets a contract match between you Chris Sabin and Frankie Kazarian. That means the winner gets a lucrative contract here with The X while the loser gets the hell out of my company! Russo smiles and walks to the back. Kazarian stares at Sabin and smiles. Chris mouths some words towards Frankie. COMMERCIAL BREAK... James Maritato, Tony Mamaluke, and Samoa Joe stand backstage. JAMES MARITATO – Last week, the Doug Williams situation was supposed ta be solved. But was it? James turns to Samoa Joe. TONY MAMALUKE – Yeah, was it? Tony turns to Samoa Joe. Both men stare at Joe for a moment. JAMES MARITATO – This is da part where you answer. SAMOA JOE – I lost last week, but I won’t lose tonight. Doug Williams doesn’t have a chance against me tonight. Samoa Joe stands up and walks out of the room. Maritato and Mamaluke turn towards each other. TONY MAMALUKE – I told ya not ta hire him. You shoulda hired Sicilian Joe. JAMES MARITATO – Who the hell is Sicilian Joe? TONY MAMALUKE – I dunno, but there’s gotta be a million Sicilian Joe’s out there. We coulda found one. Maritato shakes his head. Chris Divine takes on Fast Eddie next. Joey Styles puts over the fact that Eddie is legally blind and yet able to wrestle the fast paced cruiser style in the ring. The match goes 4:20, with Fast Eddie winning the match after hitting a fall away slam from the top rope. Smoke is shown coming out of a slightly opened locker room door. Laughter can be heard coming from inside. Suddenly, Michael Shane and Mike Sanders come running down the hall. They burst through the door and walk in. The cameraman follows them in to find Shane and Sanders attacking Izzy and Dixie. Shane and Sanders stomp on Izzy and Dixie repeatedly. Shane grabs Izzy and slams him face first against the wall. Sanders grabs what appears to be a bong and smacks Dixie in the head with it. Shane stands over Izzy. MICHAEL SHANE – You like that Cheech and Chong? You sons of bitches! Shane begins stomping relentlessly on Izzy. Mike Sanders grabs Shane and pulls him away. The two men walk out of the locker room. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The Messiah stands in the center of the ring. THE MESSIAH – Everything must come to an end. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. And of course blood to blood. Tommy Dreamer, last week I did exactly what I set out to do. I tasted your blood. And in the process I f***ed your mind over like it’s never been f***ed before. But it’s not over yet Dreamer. I’m not finished with you yet. There’s still one thing I haven’t done Tommy, and that’s retire you. That’s all that’s left for me Dreamer. I’ve already got your mind and your soul. Now I just need to take your career. I won’t be done Dreamer until you’re left crippled in a wheelchair, saliva dribbling from your comatose body because you can’t feel a damn thing. You’d be a vegetable, with just enough energy to roll in front of your TV set every week and watch as I become the great star you only dreamed of being. Tommy Dreamer’s music begins playing. Messiah smiles as he stands preparing for Dreamer to come out. Tommy, chair in hand, enters the ring from behind Messiah. Dreamer grabs Messiah and whips him around. Tommy nails Messiah hard across the face with the chair, sending Messiah crashing to the mat. Dreamer waits a moment for Messiah to get back up. When Messiah is back to his feet, Dreamer nails him with a chair shot to the face that would make Mick Foley cringe. Messiah is out cold on the mat. Dreamer exits the ring and reaches under the ring apron. He pulls out a table and places it to the side. Dreamer reaches under the ring again, this time pulling out a long panel of glass. Dreamer slides the glass panel into the ring. He pulls out two chairs and opens them. Dreamer places the glass panel lying flat across the two open chairs. He rolls back into the ring and grabs The Messiah. Dreamer walks Messiah over to the ropes where the glass panel is set up. He lifts Messiah up and powerbombs him out of the ring, sending Messiah crashing through the glass. Messiah writhes around in pain as Joey Styles simply says “Oh My God.” COMMERCIAL BREAK... Vince Russo stands watching as The Messiah is wheeled away on a stretcher. A referee comes running over to Russo. REFEREE – Vince, somebody’s here to see you. He says he’s an old friend of yours. Russo looks confused at who that person might be. Samoa Joe stands in the ring, his eyes focused. Doug Williams makes his way down to the ring. The bell sounds and the two big men begin circling each other. Williams and Joe begin exchanging stiff chops across the chest. Joe grabs Doug and begins hitting him repeatedly with hard right forearm shots to the side of the face. Samoa Joe forces Williams into the corner. He hits a hard chop across Doug’s chest, but this seems to rejuvenate Doug. Williams grabs Samoa Joe and throws him into the corner. He begins slamming his knee repeatedly into Samoa Joe’s gut. Williams grabs Samoa Joe and amazingly takes him over with a Northern Lights Suplex bridged into a pin that Joe manages to kick out of at two. Williams takes Joe into a leg lock. Samoa Joe reaches for the rope to break the pin but he’s simply too far away. After a few minutes, Samoa Joe reaches forward and begins punching Williams in the gut, forcing Doug to break the hold. Williams stands up and is met quickly with a stiff super kick by Samoa Joe. Doug falls to the mat and Samoa Joe goes for the cover, scoring the 1-2-NO! Williams kicks out. Samoa Joe heads up to the top rope and hits a big leg drop on Williams. He covers Doug again but this time Williams is too close to the ropes and able to break the pin at two. Samoa Joe appears to be a bit frustrated now. He lifts Williams up and goes for a neckbreaker, but Doug shoves Joe off of him and into the ropes. Williams catches Joe as he’s coming back and manages to hit the Chaos Theory roll through German Suplex. Williams covers Samoa Joe and scores the three count. Doug Williams wins in 8:58. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Sonny Siaki stands in the ring. SONNY SIAKI – People seem to have labeled me as the guy that hates the fans. I don’t get that. Just because I come out here and tell it like it is, I hate the fans? That’s not right. I mean is it my fault half of you are toothless crack hos who would sleep with your brothers if he could afford your five dollars a minute rate? No, that’s not my fault. So I shouldn’t be... Chris Harris and James Storm’s music begins playing as the team walks down to the ring. Harris enters the ring and grabs the microphone from Siaki. CHRIS HARRIS – You know I’m tired of the people around here having no respect for anybody. What right do you have to talk to these fans the way you do Siaki? Maybe what you need is some respect beaten into you. Harris turns to put the microphone down. Siaki charges towards him and attacks Harris from behind. Siaki begins stomping on Harris as the bell sounds to officially start this match. Siaki sends Harris into the corner. He charges towards Chris but is met with a boot to the face. Harris charges out of the corner and hits a bulldog on Siaki. The action continues for a few minutes with Harris holding the advantage. With Siaki down, Harris heads to the top rope for a splash, but Siaki is able to get his foot up as Harris jumps down. Harris falls to the mat after getting hit in the face with the boot. Siaki lifts Harris up and prepares to hit Siakalypse Now, but Harris is able to fight out of it. Harris charges into the ropes. He runs back with an attempted clothesline but Siaki ducks the move. Harris runs off of the ropes on the opposite side and comes back towards Siaki, this time hitting a swinging DDT. Harris covers Siaki and scores the three count. Chris Harris wins the match in 7:14. Harris and Storm stand celebrating their win in the ring. Suddenly The X Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan come walking out to the ring. Daniels has a microphone. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Next week, The X makes its return to Philadelphia, and Donovan and myself were considering defending our tag titles against you Storm and Harris. And we’ve decided...against that. However, we’re sure that the fans would love to any two of us involved in a singles match next week. So what do you say Storm and Harris, are you game? CHRIS HARRIS – You know we are! Daniels turns to Morgan and smiles. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – See you in Philly boys. Daniels and Morgan head to the back. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Alexis Laree is standing backstage. Kid Kash walks over to her. KID KASH – Look, I don’t like you and you don’t like me. And we don’t like Trinity or Steve Corino. So why don’t we not like them together. ALEXIS LAREE – If it means I get to bash the bitch’s head in, then fine. Kash smiles and walks away. Michael Shane and Mike Sanders take on the Maritato Waste Management Company next in the second first-round match of the Daniels and Morgan invitational. The end of the match comes as Michael Shane hits the picture perfect elbow on Tony Mamaluke. Shane covers Tony but the referee is busy arguing with Mike Sanders and doesn’t see the cover. James Maritato runs into the ring, pulls Shane up, and hits a jawbreaker on him. Maritato places Mamaluke on top of Shane and calls the referee over. The referee turns around but he doesn’t count the pin. Instead, the referee begins yelling at Maritato. With the referee’s back turned, Mike Sanders runs into the ring, picks Mamaluke up, and hits a DDT. He then places Michael Shane on top of Mamaluke. Sanders leaves the ring just as the referee turns around. The referee gets into position and counts the 1-2-NO! Mamaluke manages to kick out. Both wrestlers crawl towards their respective corners and make the tag into their partners. Sanders and Maritato enter the ring and exchange a series of moves, ending with Maritato hitting the kiss of death on Sanders and scoring the pinfall. The Maritato Waste Management Company wins in 9:34. After the match, Maritato and Mamaluke quickly leave the ring. Sanders and Shane remain in the ring for a few moments. Scoot Andrews’ music begins to play as he walks out to the ringside area with a microphone. Sanders stands and stares at Andrews from the ring. SCOOT ANDREWS – Sanders, things between us have gone on for long enough. We’ve done a lot of things to each other these past few weeks, but we’ve never met one on one to find out who the better man is. So next week, in Philadelphia, what do you say to you and me going one on one in a Philly Street Fight? No wait, you don’t have to say anything. Cause if you’re not there to fight me, well I’ll just as soon find you wherever you are and drag your ass to the arena myself! Either way we will fight next week in Philadelphia and you will regret ever getting on my bad side! Andrews’ music begins to play again as he points to Sanders in the ring. Joey Styles tells us that Steve Corino defends The X World Title against AJ Styles, next! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Vince Russo sees a man standing with his back turned down the hall. Russo walks over to the man and finds that it’s Glen Gilberti. VINCE RUSSO – Glen! What are you doing here? GLEN GILBERTI – What are you talking about Vince? Did you not call me and tell me that you were looking for some young talent for The X? VINCE RUSSO – Well yeah. Why, did you bring some? GLEN GILBERTI – Bring some? I am some. VINCE RUSSO – Uh...oh. Right. GLEN GILBERTI – Maybe I should have my first match next week in Philly. The Philadelphia fans love me. VINCE RUSSO – Hey, who doesn’t? Gilberti laughs and puts his arm around a clearly uncomfortable Russo. AJ Styles makes his way to the ring. Once AJ is in the ring, The X World Champion Steve Corino, along with Trinity, heads to the ring. The match starts with Corino and Styles shaking hands in a sign of respect. The two wrestlers begin circling each other, each man trying a wrestling hold but finding it quickly countered. After doing this a few times, the two men stop and stand in a fighting stance for a moment, gaining approval from the audience. Corino doesn’t wait for the crowd to stop cheering as he charges towards Styles with a knee to the gut. Corino takes advantage of the match for a few minutes, keeping Styles down on the mat and working on his leg the whole time. Joey Styles notes how smart this is for Corino to take out AJ’s leg since AJ tends to use high flying moves. Corino holds Styles in a single leg Boston crab for a few moments. Styles is eventually able to twist his way out of the hold, sending Corino crashing to the mat. Styles gets to his feet and runs across the ring, though he is noticeably limping. Styles hits a dropkick to Corino, sending the champion crashing to the mat. AJ slowly climbs up to the top rope. He goes for the spiral tap but Corino rolls out of the way, leaving Styles to crash and burn on the mat. Corino crawls over to cover Styles. The referee counts 1-2-NO! Kid Kash and Alexis Laree run down to the ring and pull the referee out of the ring just before he can count the three. Trinity grabs Laree by the hair and throws her down to the floor. Trinity mounts Laree and the two women begin rolling around fighting each other. Meanwhile, Kid Kash enters the ring and goes to hit a tornado DDT on Corino, but the X World Champion is able to shove Kash off of him before hitting the move. Kash falls to the mat and rolls out of the ring. Styles runs up from behind Corino and hits an enzuigiri kick to the back of his head. Styles turns Corino around and covers him but the referee is still outside of the ring. AJ gets to his feet and looks out to see where the referee is. He exits the ring and tries to revive the referee. Jerry Lynn, steel chair in hand, comes running down to the ring. He nails Styles hard across the back with the chair. Lynn rolls Styles into the ring. Jerry throws the chair down on the mat. He picks Styles up and hits a cradle piledriver on him, landing on the chair. Lynn, clearly possessed, lifts Styles up and hits a second cradle piledriver on the chair. Corino gets to his feet and runs towards Lynn, but Jerry sees him coming and is able to back drop the champion out of the ring. Lynn turns back and focuses his attention on Styles. He takes the steel chair and places AJ’s head in it. Lynn heads up to the top rope. Joey Styles, imagining what Lynn might do here, begs that somebody come out here and stop him. But his cries go unanswered as Lynn dives down from the top rope with a leg drop onto the chair, crushing AJ’s head in the chair. Styles lays motionless in the ring as Lynn stands over him. Referees, EMTs, and Vince Russo come running down to the ring. Lynn remains on his knees next to Styles, just looking at what he’s done to his enemy. Joey Styles says that there’s nothing left to say, AJ Styles’ career may be over. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted July 27, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT July 26, 2003 Video airs from the closing moments of last week’s show as Jerry Lynn placed AJ Styles’ head in between a closed steel chair and dived down onto the chair from the top rope, clearly injuring Styles. Lynn smiles about what he’s done as EMTs and referees check on a motionless Styles. “Stayin Alive” plays as Glen Gilberti, complete in white bell-bottom tights and a gold chain around his neck, boogies his way down to the ring. Gilberti enters the ring as Joey Styles welcomes us to the show and reminds us that later tonight it will be Scoot Andrews against Mike Sanders in a Philly Street Fight. Gilberti enters the ring and asks for the microphone. GLEN GILBERTI – That’s right boys and girls, Disco’s back! And thanks to my good friend Vince Russo, Disco’s here to stay! So why don’t we have my opponent get out here so I can give these low life Philadelphia fans exactly what they want, to see Disco kick some ass! Jason Cross makes his way down to the ring and the match begins. Gilberti starts off not taking Cross seriously at all, mocking the young wrestler by slapping him around the ring. Gilberti delivers a number of knees to the gut before hitting a DDT on Cross. Glen covers Jason but pulls him up before the referee can count to three. Gilberti, laughing, picks Cross up and whips him into the ropes. He goes for a clothesline but Cross ducks under, runs into the ropes behind Gilberti, and comes back with a drop kick that sends Gilberti stumbling backwards. Cross charges forward and hits a clothesline that sends Gilberti out of the ring. Glen gets to his feet as Cross runs and hits a spinning dive over the top rope and onto Gilberti. After a few moments the two men head back into the ring. Cross attempts to kick Gilberti but Glen catches Jason’s foot. Cross hits an enzuigiri kick to Gilberti, leaving Glen down on the mat right near the corner. Jason seizes the opportunity to head to the top rope and hit the Crossfire shooting star leg drop on Gilberti. Cross covers Glen and scores the 1-2-3. Jason Cross wins in 5:52. Cross quickly leaves the ring as Gilberti recovers. Glen gets to his feet and looks clearly annoyed that he lost. After threatening the referee some, Gilberti rolls out of the ring and heads to the back. As he’s walking, Gilberti clearly says “I’m talking to Russo about this!” James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke are sitting backstage in the Maritato Waste Management Company’s office. JAMES MARITATO – You know what I realized last week Tony. TONY MAMALUKE – That Trix really are just for kids? Maritato looks curiously at Mamaluke. JAMES MARITATO – Are you really this stupid or is just an act? TONY MAMALUKE – Waddaya mean? JAMES MARITATO – Anyway, last week I realized if I need somethin done, I gotta do it myself. Not depend on you. Not depend on Samoa Joe. But do it myself. And tonight, I’m gonna take care of Doug Williams all by myself. Maritato walks away. TONY MAMALUKE – So, does dat mean I got da night off? Mamaluke sits with an unsure look on his face. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Chris Divine and Quiet Storm are standing in the center of the ring. Quiet Storm has a microphone. QUIET STORM – What the hell is going on here? How could we, Divine Storm, not be booked to wrestle here tonight? Don’t the bookers know that we’re the most over tag team in Philadelphia? Hell, I’m like Hulk Hogan to these people! A mix of cheers and jeers come from the fans. QUIET STORM – But we’re never booked! And we’re starting to get tired of this sh*t! We get no respect around here! Sonny Siaki makes his way down to the ring. Siaki enters the ring and stands in front of Divine Storm. He asks Quiet Storm for the microphone. SONNY SIAKI – Divine Storm, I know exactly what you mean. See Sonny Siaki is in the same boat as you guys. I’m the best wrestler in the business today. The crowd boos. SONNY SIAKI – And the fans know it. But am I pushed as the best wrestler in the world should be? No. I get treated like a nobody. And after thinking about it for days, I’ve finally realized whose fault it is. It’s my fault. I sit here waiting for the bookers to push me when what I should be doing is taking the situation into my own God like hands and making my own push. So Divine Storm, if you boys want to be pushed around here, why don’t we just make it happen. Chris Divine and Quiet Storm look at each other and appear to agree. They both shake Siaki’s hands before all three men head out of the ring. As they leave, Chris Sabin makes his way out to the ring. Joey Styles tells us that Sabin and Kazarian are about to have their big match where the winner receives a signed and sealed permanent contract here in The X, while the loser will be gone from the company. Once Sabin is in the ring, Frankie Kazarian makes his way out. Sabin and Kazarian start things off by trading arm drags and wrestling holds, with each man countering out of the other man’s move. This series of exchanges ends with both guys standing in a ready to fight position as the crowd cheers in approval. Sabin and Kazarian lock up again, this time with Kazarian taking the advantage after a thumb to the eye. Kazarian takes Sabin into the corner and hits him with a number of chops and right hands. Kazarian continues dominating the match for a few minutes. Sabin finds himself leaning up against the top rope. Kazarian runs to hit Sabin but Chris is able to duck and send Kazarian crashing to the floor with a back body drop. Sabin rolls out of the ring and lifts Frankie up. He tosses Kazarian hard into the steel ring steps. As Frankie recovers, Sabin climbs up on top of the audience guardrail and prepares to jump off at Kazarian. Sabin takes a bit too long to prepare the move, allowing Frankie to run over and shove Sabin off of the guardrail and into the crowd. Kazarian then springs up onto the guardrail and moonsaults off onto Sabin. Both men lay recovering as Joey Styles tells us that this match won’t be over until we have a definite winner! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Sabin and Kazarian have made their way back into the ring. The two men exchange punches until Sabin hits a knee to the gut on Kazarian. He lifts Frankie up into the Future Shock but Kazarian manages to escape out of the move, landing on his feet behind Sabin. Kazarian grabs Sabin by the waist and takes him into a victory roll for the 1-2-NO! Sabin kicks out. Both men get to their feet and Sabin goes for a spinning heel kick, but Frankie ducks the kick and performs a neckbreaker on Sabin. Kazarian covers Sabin for a second time but again only gets a two count. Frankie, somewhat frustrated, heads up to the top rope. Before he can perform a move, Sabin is back to his feet and runs over, climbing to the top and grabbing Kazarian with a belly-to-belly suplex. Sabin hits the move and both men lay catching their breath after the long fall down from the top rope to the mat. Sabin crawls over and covers Kazarian for the 1-2-NO! Frankie is able to get his shoulder up. Sabin stands up and pulls Frankie to his feet. He goes to whip Frankie into the ropes but Kazarian stops and charges back with a clothesline that Sabin ducks. Kazarian sees Sabin ducking and right away flips over Sabin, rolling down his back and landing on his feet. Sabin turns as Kazarian kicks him in the gut and lifts him into Sabin’s own Future Shock finisher. Sabin is able to maneuver out of the hold, take Sabin by the head with a Hurricanrana, and sends Kazarian crashing to the mat. Frankie is back to his feet quickly but Sabin sees him coming and hits a boot to the gut. Sabin lifts Kazarian into the Future Shock and hits the move. He covers Kazarian and scores the 1-2-3. Chris Sabin wins the match and contract in 24:13. Sabin and Kazarian both get to their feet as the crowd cheers for both men. The two young competitors shake hands and appear to have gained a level of respect for each other. Sonny Siaki, Quiet Storm, and Chris Divine come running into the ring. The three men attack Sabin and Kazarian from behind, beating both guys down to the mat. Siaki takes Sabin and hits the Siakalypse Now on him. Quiet Storm takes Kazarian and hits the Spinal Shock on him. Siaki tells Chris Divine to get a steel chair. Divine listens and grabs a chair from under the ring. He enters the ring and throws the chair down on the mat. Siaki takes Sabin and hits Siakalypse Now on him for a second time, landing on the chair. Siaki and Divine Storm stand over Sabin and Kazarian, clearly proud of what they’ve done. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Jerry Lynn sits alone in the locker room. He stares straight into the camera. JERRY LYNN – I could have done it AJ. I could have ended your career. If I had hit a little bit to the left, it would have been over. Your neck would have been broken. But I didn’t want to end your career. I just wanted to make sure you understood that I’m in charge here. That I can end your career at my will. I can hurt you whenever I feel like it. I know you’ll be back in a few weeks and you’ll be looking to even the score. That’s fine. Name the time and place and we can do whatever we have to do. I’m using you Styles. You are my stepping-stone. I’m going to the top and your blood is leading my way. Lynn stares silently into the camera for a moment. Vince Russo stands in the ring. A small table has been set up in the center of the ring. On it lays a contract. Standing on either side of the table are Tommy Dreamer and The Messiah. Russo looks at both men, who are intensely staring at each other. VINCE RUSSO – For the past few months, Tommy Dreamer and The Messiah have done nothing but try to hurt each other. And while I’m sure the fans have loved watching you guys beating the sh*t out of each other, the fact is things need to stop before they go too far. That’s why on August 9th, when The X makes its Boston debut, it seems to me like the perfect time for the first ever Boston Massacre Match! I’m talking about no disqualifications! No count outs! No submissions! Falls count anywhere! And the only way to win is by winning two pin falls in a row. But to make sure that you two don’t screw up my big money match, I’m ordering that you have no physical contact between each other from now until the Boston Massacre Match. So let’s get this contract signed. Russo hands Tommy Dreamer a pen. Dreamer leans down on the table and signs the contract. He lays the pen down on the contract and turns it towards Messiah. The Messiah lifts the pen up and looks at it for a moment. He tosses the pen to the mat. Messiah reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a small pocketknife. He opens the knife and holds his hand out. Messiah slices the palm of his hand. Blood begins to stream down The Messiah’s palm. He places his hand on the contract, leaving the white paper with a large red bloodstain underneath Dreamer’s signature. Messiah and Dreamer stare at each other as Russo takes the contract and quietly walks out of the ring. Trinity walks alone backstage. As she’s walking, a locker room door opens and Alexis Laree comes running out. She grabs Trinity and pulls her into the locker room. Kid Kash sticks his head out of the locker room to see that nobody is around. He then slams the door shut. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The X World Champion Steve Corino stands alone in the ring. He looks clearly curious that Trinity is not out there with him. Kid Kash and Alexis Laree make their way down to the ring for this scheduled tag team match. The bell sounds as it appears we have a handicap match. Corino and Kash start things off, but right away Corino insists that Kash tag Laree into the ring. Kash seems unsure about this but The X’s Top Bitch agrees to come into the match. Kash walks over and takes Laree in. Alexis charges at Corino and begins nailing him with a series of forearm shivers, backing him into the corner. Laree goes to hit a hurricanrana on Corino but Steve is able to block and instead hits a piledriver on Alexis. Corino takes Laree into a headlock, digging his knee into her back. Alexis appears to be fading away from consciousness fast. The referee lifts Laree’s arm up once and watches as it falls back down. He lifts her arm up a second time and yet again the arm falls to the mat. The referee lifts Laree’s arm up for a third time, but it doesn’t fall back down. Instead Laree appears to have a second wind as reaches back and pokes Corino in the eye, causing him to break the submission hold. As Corino recovers, Laree charges towards her corner and tags in Kash. Kid Kash runs into the ring and goes for a swinging DDT but Corino is able to push Kash off, sending Kid crashing back first to the mat. Corino begins stomping on Kash repeatedly. Laree comes running back into the ring and goes for a DDT of her own on Corino, but Steve is able to suplex Laree over to the mat. He turns to go after Kash when suddenly Trinity, clearly hurt, comes limping out from the back. Trinity stops half way down the entranceway and collapses on the floor. This distraction is just enough for Kash to grab Corino and hit a German Suplex, holding onto the bridge for the three count. Kid Kash and Alexis Laree win in 5:02. After the match, Kash and Laree quickly leave the ring and head to the back. They laugh as they pass by Trinity’s unconscious body. Doug Williams walks alone backstage. James Maritato, wrench in hand, comes running over to Williams and nails him in the back of the knee with the wrench. Williams screams out in pain as he falls to the floor. Maritato stands over Williams and nails him twice in the back with the wrench. He then nails Maritato in the back of the head with the wrench. Williams falls down unconscious to the floor. Maritato quickly runs away as security guards come running over to aid Doug. COMMERCIAL BREAK... James Storm and Chris Harris stand in the ring waiting for Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan. Joey Styles reminds us that we would see a singles match here between two of the four men, which two we’re not sure yet. The X Tag Team Champions Daniels and Morgan come walking out. Both men are dressed in street clothes. Daniels takes a microphone. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Well Storm and Harris, we said that two of us would have a singles match here tonight, and we will. It just so happens that the two of us having the match are James Storm and Chris Harris. The crowd jeers as Harris and Storm look at each other with confusion. Harris takes a microphone from the referee. CHRIS HARRIS – Real smart Daniels. But what makes you think that me and Storm are going to fight each other? Just because you say so? Vince Russo comes walking out and stands next to Daniels and Morgan. VINCE RUSSO – Actually I think you two are going to have a match here tonight because there’s a new championship coming to The X. It’s the East Coast Championship. And as of right now, this match is a first round X East Coast Championship Tournament match! Harris and Storm again look at each other. The bell sounds as the two wrestlers shake hands and wish each other good luck. Storm and Harris go back and forth with wrestling holds, showing how well the two men know each other. The match continues with both men exchanging hold after hold. Harris finally gains the advantage, sending Storm into the corner. Harris goes to hit Storm with a splash but the referee finds himself in the way, thus he is sandwiched between the two wrestlers. As the referee recovers, Storm walks out of the corner. Harris grabs him and hits the Catatonic. He goes for the cover but the referee isn’t able to count the pin. Daniels enters the ring, grabs Harris, and hits the Angel’s Wings. Daniels takes Storm and lays him on top of a motionless Chris Harris. The referee crawls over and counts the 1-2-3. James Storm wins the match in 4:58. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Vince Russo stands backstage. Glen Gilberti comes walking over to him. GLEN GILBERTI – Vince, what the hell happened out there? VINCE RUSSO – What? GLEN GILBERTI – That Jason Cross beat me in a match. He beat me, the Disco Inferno. The kid hasn’t even gone through puberty yet! VINCE RUSSO – The Disco Inferno? Look Glen, if you’re gonna be in The X, you have to leave that Disco Inferno gimmick in the past. GLEN GILBERTI – But what gimmick am I supposed to have then? VINCE RUSSO – I don’t know, think of something, but Disco’s dead! Russo angrily walks away. Gilberti stands thinking for a moment. Scoot Andrews makes his way out to the ring for the Philly Street Fight. Andrews stands in the ring and waits a moment until Old School Crew member Mike Sanders comes down to the ring. Sanders stops in the entranceway and stares into the ring at Andrews. Sanders turns around and begins to walk to the back. Andrews runs out of the ring and goes after Sanders, hitting him from behind with a double ax handle. The bell sounds to officially start the match as both men exchange punches in the entranceway. Andrews grabs Sanders and throws him into the audience. Sanders tries to run away but Andrews is right on top of him and stomps on Sanders a few times. Sanders grabs a soda from an audience member and throws the liquid into Scoot’s face. Andrews is blinded for a moment, allowing Sanders to grab a chair and nail Scoot hard in the head with it. Andrews falls to the floor as Sanders looks around for a moment. Mike climbs up onto an audience guardrail and moonsaults down onto Andrews. He covers Scoot but only gets a two count. The action continues as Sanders remains in control, punching Andrews repeatedly through the audience until they finally make their way back to ringside. Sanders reaches under the ring and pulls out a two by four piece of wood. He walks over to Andrews and breaks the two by four over his back. Andrews falls down to his knees and screams out in pain. As Scoot recovers, Sanders goes under the ring again and pulls out a table. Sanders sets up the table outside of the ring. He goes to grab Andrews by Scoot punches Mike repeatedly in the gut. Andrews takes Sanders and slams his head against the steel ring post. Andrews then lifts Sanders up and drops him down throat first across the guardrail. Andrews rolls Sanders into the ring and goes for the cover but only gets a two count. Andrews stands up and goes for the Forces Of Nature on Sanders, but Mike is able to break free and hit a super kick to Andrews. Sanders goes for the pin but gets only a two count. Sanders, somewhat frustrated, heads up to the top rope. He goes for an elbow drop but Andrews rolls out of the way, leaving Sanders to come crashing to the mat. The two men take a few moments to both get up. They begin exchanging punches again. Andrews grabs Sanders and hits the Forces Of Nature on him. He covers Sanders, making sure to hook the leg, and scores the 1-2-3. Scoot Andrews wins the Philly Street Fight in 15:34. Scoot Andrews leaves the ring, celebrating his victory as he heads to the back. Mike Sanders gets to his feet. Suddenly rave music begins playing as Izzy and Dixie come running down to the ring. They dance around for a few moments before the music stops. Dixie takes a microphone. DIXIE – Yo Sanders, we feel for you dawg. You gave it your all and you’re still a loser. But don’t worry, the DWD has exactly what you need to feel better. Izzy, with his arm around Sanders’ shoulders, holds out what is clearly a joint. Mike Sanders stares at the joint, looking unsure if he should take it. DIXIE – Come on dawg, take a puff! Take a puff! The crowd begins cheering “take a puff!” as Sanders stares at the joint. Mike finally grabs the joint, throws it to the floor, and steps on it. Izzy and Dixie look at each other before turning and attacking Sanders. They both take Sanders and hit a double suplex on him. Sanders’ tag partner Michael Shane comes running down to the ring. Before he can enter the ring, Izzy jumps up onto the top rope and hits a moonsault plancha onto Shane. Izzy lifts Shane up and places him on the table set up earlier. Izzy then enters the ring and joins Dixie in stomping on Sanders a few times. The two men grab Sanders by the head and run, with both guys jumping over the top rope so that Sanders’ hits the top rope throat first as Izzy and Dixie both dive down onto Michael Shane, going through the table. As Sanders lays in the ring and Izzy, Dixie, and Shane lay in the table wreckage outside of the ring, Joey Styles is left with a simple “Oh my god”. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted August 3, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT August 2, 2003 Joey Styles stands in the center of the ring. A young, pretty woman stands next to him. JOEY STYLES – Ladies and gentlemen, AJ Styles is once again not here tonight. But he has asked that we let his wife share a few words on AJ’s behalf. Joey hands the microphone to Mrs. Styles. MRS. STYLES – Thank you Joey. And thank you to all of the fans. These past few weeks have been among the hardest AJ has ever had to face. Not being able to do what he loves to do, wrestle, has been killing AJ. But AJ has been able to survive thanks to all of you fans giving him your support. And he wants you to know that he’ll be back in a few weeks and he will get revenge on Jerry Lynn. Jerry Lynn comes walking down to the ring. Lynn enters the ring and walks over to Mrs. Styles. He looks her up and down before grabbing the microphone from her. JERRY LYNN – So AJ’s going to be back in a few weeks for revenge on me, huh? That doesn’t surprise me. In fact, I expect it. That was the whole idea. If I wanted to end AJ’s career two weeks ago, I could have. Just needed to jump a little to the left and snap, AJ’s neck would have been broken. But I don’t want to be the guy that ended AJ’s career. I just want to be the guy that Styles can’t beat. He’s a loser that got lucky a few times. How dare people call him the best wrestler in the world. I’m the best wrestler in the world! I’ve been the best wrestler for fifteen years and it’s time I started getting some recognition for that! But AJ’s a lucky guy. He really is. I mean just look at you, his wife. Just look at you. Lynn once again looks Mrs. Styles over. She appears very uncomfortable by this, keeping her head bowed down and eyes focused on the mat. JERRY LYNN – You know with AJ’s neck injury, he probably hasn’t been able to please you lately, has he? He hasn’t been able to fulfill your womanly needs. Look I’m not trying to come between your marriage, but the fact is AJ’s not here and you are...and I am. So why don’t we go back to my locker room and let me give you what the boy only wishes he could. Mrs. Styles looks up at Jerry. Lynn begins massaging her shoulder with his hand. Mrs. Styles slaps Jerry hard across the face. Jerry turns and holds his cheek. He turns back to Mrs. Styles and begins smiling devilishly. JERRY LYNN – Fine, but you’re not leaving here until I give you something...a broken neck! Lynn kicks Mrs. Styles in the gut. She doubles over in pain, her eyes closed tight as she appears to be fighting back tears. Lynn takes Mrs. Styles into a Cradle Piledriver set up. He begins to lift her into the move when Scoot Andrews comes running down the entranceway and sliding into the ring. Scoot runs and clotheslines Lynn down to the mat. Andrews checks on Mrs. Styles as Jerry rolls out of the ring. Lynn appears clearly annoyed. He goes back into the ring and attacks Scoot from behind. The two men begin exchanging punches as Mrs. Styles rolls out of the ring. A referee comes running down to the ring and calls for the bell. Joey Styles says it looks like we have an impromptu match, right after this break! COMMERCIAL BREAK... Andrews and Lynn continue battling in the ring. Lynn hits a dropkick to Andrews, sending him falling over the top rope and out of the ring. Andrews recovers as Lynn runs and hits a suicide dive onto Scoot. Lynn is the first back to his feet. He lifts Scoot up and whips him hard into the steel ring steps. Lynn walks over to the audience guardrail. He climbs on top and balances himself for a moment. This allows Scoot to recover. He runs over and shoves Lynn off of the guardrail, sending him crashing down to the arena floor. Andrews climbs into the audience and begins punching Lynn repeatedly, sending him further into the audience. Lynn lands a few punches himself before grabbing a chair from the crowd and throwing it straight into Scoot’s face. Andrews stumbles backwards, giving Jerry the opportunity to charge forward, hitting a sunset flip over Andrews and lifting him up into a powerbomb position. Lynn walks towards the guardrail. He drops Andrews down hard to the ringside floor with a powerbomb over the guardrail. Lynn climbs back over the guardrail and lifts Andrews up to throw him into the ring. Once back into the ring, Jerry lifts Andrews into a cradle piledriver, hitting the move and scoring the pinfall. Jerry Lynn wins the match in 10:44. After the match, Lynn rolls out of the ring and grabs the timekeeper’s chair. Jerry comes back into the ring and nails Scoot with the chair across the back a few times. He takes the chair and places Scoot’s head in between it, just as he did to AJ Styles two weeks ago. Lynn walks towards the corner and climbs to the top. He appears ready to dive down from the top but the referee stands in Jerry’s way. Lynn begins yelling at the referee, telling him to move. The referee refuses, which clearly annoys Lynn. Jerry climbs down from the top and grabs the referee by the shirt. He launches the referee over the top rope, sending him crashing hard to the floor. Now with nobody to stop him, Jerry heads back up to the top. As he climbs, Andrews stands up. He takes the chair and runs over to Lynn, who has his back to the whole situation. Andrews nails Jerry across the back with the chair. Lynn goes flying off of the top rope, crashing chin first into the guardrail. As Lynn recovers, Andrews climbs up to the middle rope and poses with the chair. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Christopher Daniels, one half of the X Tag Team Champions, stands in the ring. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – You know, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I’ve realized that the way Donovan and I have been handling the James Storm and Chris Harris situation is entirely wrong. If we want to be the most dominant team in wrestling, we need to embrace any and all challengers. So Storm and Harris, tonight you will get your chance to earn a tag team title shot by being added to the Maritato Management Company and Hidaka and Togo tag team match, with the winners fighting Donovan and me for the belts next week in Boston. Daniels drops the microphone as Joey Styles talks about the now three way tag match we’ll see later tonight between Storm and Harris, the Maritato Waste Management Company, and Hidaka and Togo. Mike Sanders comes down to the ring for this East Coast Championship Tournament match. Daniels and Sanders battle back and forth for six minutes. The referee finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time when Sanders goes for a splash in the corner as the referee checks on Daniels, leaving the referee to be sandwiched between the two men. The referee falls to the mat and Sanders hits a snap suplex on Daniels and bridges over into a pin. Sanders quickly realizes that the referee is down and thus won’t be able to count the pin. He stands up and begins trying to revive the referee. Suddenly rave music begins playing as the DWD, Izzy and Dixie, come running down to the ring. They slide in and hit a double spinning heel kick to Sanders, sending him crashing to the mat. Izzy and Dixie begin dancing around as Michael Shane comes running out. Shane enters the ring and clotheslines both DWD members to the mat. They roll out of the ring and regroup for a moment on the outside. Shane runs, springs up onto the top rope, and dives down onto Izzy and Dixie. Meanwhile, Daniels picks Sanders up and hits the Angel’s Wings on him. The referee recovers just as Daniels pins Sanders, allowing him to count the 1-2-3. Christopher Daniels wins the match in 8:29. After the match, Daniels quickly retreats from the ring. Sanders and Shane stand in the ring as Izzy and Dixie walk towards the back. MIKE SANDERS – Hey Izzy and Dixie, instead of attacking us from behind every week, why don’t you meet us face to face in the ring next week in Boston? Izzy and Dixie talk for a moment before yelling out “You’ve got it!” The DWD walk to the back as Sanders and Shane stand in the ring, talking to each other. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The Messiah comes down to the ring with a wheelchair. He places the wheelchair in front of the entranceway. THE MESSIAH – Next week, Boston Massacre Match, Tommy Dreamer it’s not about winning to me. It’s about leaving you crippled. I thought I’d get you a gift Dreamer. It’s the least I could do since next week I’ll be taking something from you...your ability to walk. Messiah drops the microphone and enters the ring where his opponent, Fast Eddie, is waiting. The bell sounds and Messiah right away goes to work on Eddie. As Messiah dominates Fast Eddie, Tommy Dreamer comes walking down the entranceway. He stops by the wheelchair and looks at it for a moment. Dreamer sits in the wheelchair and watches as Messiah finishes Fast Eddie off with a spike DDT to the mat. Messiah covers Fast Eddie and gets the win in 2:34. After the match, Messiah looks out and sees Dreamer sitting in the wheelchair. Dreamer stands up and points at Messiah. The two men simply stare at each other. The X World Champion Steve Corino walks backstage. Alexis Laree comes walking over to him. ALEXIS LAREE – So how’s Trinity feeling? STEVE CORINO – Well let’s see, you only broke two of her ribs and fractured her wrist so I’d say she’s feeling pretty pissed off right about now. ALEXIS LAREE – Hey, you tell her whenever she wants, she can have me. STEVE CORINO – Oh Trinity’s not the only person you have to worry about. See I’m pretty pissed off too and I’m not above making you my bitch. Alexis Laree laughs for a moment before stepping in and hitting Corino with a kick to the groin. Corino grabs Laree by the hair and throws her face first into the wall. Kid Kash comes running over and tackles Corino down to the ground. He begins punching Corino repeatedly. Steve manages to push Kash off of him. Corino grabs Kash by the hair and throws him down the hall. Kash pulls himself up to his feet and kicks Corino in the gut. He takes Corino and spikes him to the ground with a DDT. Kash again mounts Corino and begins punching him repeatedly. Corino starts bleeding from his forehead. A group of security guards come running over to Kash and pull him off of the champion. They stand between Kash and a recovering Corino. Kash, clearly annoyed, walks away. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Kid Kash comes walking down to the ring. He rolls in and grabs a microphone. KID KASH – Corino, forget the security guards, let’s do this right here, right now! Kash stands in the ring for a moment waiting. Corino, bleeding profusely, comes running down to the ring. He slides in and begins exchanging punches with Kash. Corino grabs Kash and throws him into the corner. He begins kicking Kash repeatedly in the gut. Kash runs out of the corner and hits a clothesline to Corino. Kash rolls out of the ring and reaches under the ring. He pulls out a couple of chairs and tosses them into the ring. Kash slides back into the ring but Corino nails him with a kick to the stomach. Corino takes Kash and hits a piledriver onto one of the chairs. As Kash recovers, Corino grabs the second chair and stands over him. He drivers the top of the chair down into Kash’s ribs. Kid Kash screams out in pain as Corino nails Kash in the ribs twice more. He looks to hit Kash yet again when security finally hits the ring and steps between the two men. Corino is forced out of the ring, while Kash lays on the mat, spitting blood out of his mouth. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Glen Gilberti stands in the ring. GLEN GILBERTI – Tonight I was supposed to take on that little piece of crap Jason Cross but the kid’s got so-called back problems and that match won’t be happening. I still needed to come out here though because tonight I planned on debuting a new gimmick and I will still be doing that. Yes, Disco Inferno is finished. But say hello to the man who’s got just what the ladies want, G Spot! Gilberti rips off his white sweat pants to show that he is wearing a black G-String. Gilberti begins strutting around as really cheesy stripper music plays. Suddenly the music stops and Simon Diamond comes walking down to the ring. SIMON DIAMOND – You have got to be kidding me! Simon enters the ring as Gilberti stands looking annoyed. SIMON DIAMOND – This is your idea of making it big in The X? First you lose to some rookie, then you parade around half naked? Are you seriously that stupid? GLEN GILBERTI – I don’t remember asking for your opinion. SIMON DIAMOND – Don’t be mad at me Tiny, I’m just trying to help you here. You’re not going to get over by making the fans go blind. If you want to be a big star around here, then you need to do exactly what Simon says. GLEN GILBERTI – Oh I’ll listen to what Simon says, right after I’m finished shoving my foot up Simon’s ass! Gilberti drops the microphone and goes to punch Diamond but he’s able to block and hits Gilberti with a super kick. Glen falls hard to the mat. Simon Diamond stands over Gilberti, shaking his head with disappointment. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Chris Sabin stands in the ring. Sonny Siaki, Chris Divine, and Quiet Storm come walking down the entranceway. SONNY SIAKI – Chris Sabin, I know that you’re curious about why we attacked you last week. It’s simple really, since the day you arrived in this company you’ve been pushed as a star. We’ve been here since day one and haven’t even come close to getting the push you get. So Divine Intervention had to step in. Tonight you want a match against one of us, well get ready to be depushed. Divine Intervention stand at ringside. Sabin runs and launches himself over the top rope, landing on all three members of the team. After a few moments, Sabin and Quiet Storm fight into the ring. Sabin gains the early advantage, keeping Storm down on the mat. Sabin goes for the cover but Quiet Storm kicks out at two. Sabin picks Storm up and whips him into the corner. Storm springs up and over Sabin as he charges at him in the corner. Quiet Storm grabs Sabin around the waist and goes for a German suplex. Sabin lands on his feet behind Storm. He charges forward and hits a knee to Storm’s back, sending him into the corner hurt. Sabin lifts Storm up into the Future Shock, hitting the move and going for the pin. The referee doesn’t count, however, as Sonny Siaki has him occupied on the outside. Sabin stands to try and get the referee to turn back around. Chris Divine enters the ring and hits Sabin with a low blow. Divine quickly leaves the ring as the referee turns and finds both Storm and Sabin down on the mat. He begins counting both men out. At six, both men are to their feet. They begin exchanging chops across the chest. Storm takes advantage and goes to around Sabin, reaching behind himself and taking Sabin into a chin lock. He pulls Sabin up on his back. Sabin’s able to roll down and land on his feet in front of Storm. He kicks Storm in the gut, lifts him up and hits the Future Shock once again, this time scoring the three count. Chris Sabin wins in 7:06. After the match, Sabin celebrates in the ring while the three members of Divine Intervention head to the back. They stare at Sabin as they leave, with Siaki mouthing the words “this ain’t over”. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Joey Styles stands in front of the X banner. JOEY STYLES – Fans, next week The X makes it’s Boston debut and tickets are still available! Signed for next week, The Old School Crew, Mike Sanders and Michael Shane, will take on Izzy and Dixie! Plus the East Coast Championship Tournament will continue as Glen Gilberti battles Simon Diamond and Chris Sabin takes on Sonny Siaki! We also know that Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan will defend the X tag team championship against the winners of the three way dance we’re about to see. And finally, it’s the match that is being billed as the most anticipated in The X’s short history. The Messiah. Tommy Dreamer. The first ever Boston Massacre Match. There will be no disqualifications. No count outs. Falls will count anywhere. And to win the match, you must get two pinfalls in a row. A young man wearing an X t-shirt comes running over to Joey. He hands Joey a note and then leaves. Joey opens the note. JOEY STYLES – I’ve been asked to read this. It says the king is dead, long live the king. Signed Smack Mail. Joey Styles looks confused into the camera. JOEY STYLES – Smack mail? The Maritato Waste Management Company, Ikuto Hidaka and Dick Togo, and James Storm and Chris Harris battle in a three way dance. Maritato and Mamaluke spend most of the match outside of the ring, not wanting to tag in and take part in the action. Finally Harris tags Mamaluke in. Tony doesn’t want to enter the ring, but Dick Togo grabs Mamaluke and pulls him into the ring. Togo beats down Mamaluke for a few minutes. He goes for the cover but Harris is right there to stop the pin, realizing that this is one fall to a finish. The match continues as James Storm is tagged into the ring. Mamaluke tags in Maritato, who right away gains the advantage over Storm. Maritato keeps Storm down on the mat with a series of submission holds. Maritato pulls Storm up and whips him into the ropes. James Storm comes running back with a forearm smash, taking Maritato down. Both men lay trying to crawl towards their corners for a tag. Chris Harris claps his hands and stomps on the mat to try and motivate James Storm. He reaches out for Storm to tag him but suddenly realizes that Storm isn’t crawling towards him. Instead, James is going towards Togo and Hidaka, who are closer to him in the ring. Harris begins yelling to Storm about this. Maritato tags in Mamaluke. Tony runs to stop Storm but he’s too late as James tags in Hidaka. Ikuto springs into the ring with a clothesline on Mamaluke. He begins stomping on Tony repeatedly. Ikuto hits Tony with a bulldog. He covers Mamaluke but Harris breaks the count at two. Dick Togo runs into the ring and attacks Harris. As the referee tries to deal with this situation, James Maritato takes Hidaka and hits the Kiss Of Death. Mamaluke covers Hidaka as the referee turns and counts the three. The Maritato Waste Management Company win in 9:47. Maritato and Mamaluke leave as Joey Styles reminds us that they will face Daniels and Morgan for the tag titles next week live in Boston! ©2003 The X-Entertainment
Guest Joe Report post Posted August 11, 2003 X ENTERTAINMENT – BOSTON MASSACRE August 9, 2003 Highlights of the bloody and brutal feud between Tommy Dreamer and The Messiah are shown. The video ends telling us that tonight the war will come to an end as Dreamer and Messiah fight in the first ever X Boston Massacre Match. The Maritato Waste Management Company, James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke, make their way to the ring. As they head out, Joey Styles welcomes us to The X’s Boston area debut and again hypes the X Boston Massacre match coming up later tonight. Once Maritato and Mamaluke are in the ring, The X Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan head out. Joey Styles reminds us that Maritato and Mamaluke won this tag title shot by beating Dick Togo and Ikuto Hidaka, as well as James Storm and Chris Harris, in a three way tag match last week. Christopher Daniels and Donovan Morgan defend the X Tag Team Championship against The Maritato Waste Management Company in our opening match. Maritato and Daniels start things off exchanging holds. Daniels takes Maritato into a side headlock. James pushes Daniels off, sending him into the ropes. Donovan Morgan makes a blind tag to Daniels. Maritato hits Daniels with a boot to the gut, followed by the Kiss Of Death. He goes for the cover but the referee doesn’t count. Maritato wonders why the referee isn’t counting, but his worries quickly shift as Morgan enters the ring and hits a German suplex on him. Morgan takes Maritato into an armbar. He locks the hold in tight but James refuses to tap out. After a couple of minutes, Morgan releases the hold. He pulls Maritato up and takes him into an abdominal stretch. Maritato’s face squirms in pain but when the referee asks him if he wants to give up, James emphatically says no. Donovan tags in Daniels, who right away takes Maritato into an abdominal stretch of his own. As the referee checks on Maritato, Daniels makes use of his close proximity to the ropes, grabbing hold for extra leverage. Tony Mamaluke enters the ring but is cut off halfway by the referee. Mamaluke tosses something to James. As the referee yells at Tony to leave the ring, Maritato puts on the brass knuckles that Tony threw him and nails Daniels square in the mouth. Daniels falls to the mat, breaking the abdominal stretch. Maritato hides the brass knuckles in his tights and goes for the cover. The referee turns around and counts the 1-2-NO! Donovan runs in to stop the count. Maritato dashes over to his corner and tags in Mamaluke. Tony runs in with fists of fire, punching Daniels repeatedly. Morgan enters the ring to help his partner but Mamaluke hits Donovan with a drop kick that sends him to the arena floor. As Mamaluke talks some trash to Morgan, Daniels grabs him and hits the STO. Daniels goes for the cover and the referee counts 1-2-NO! Maritato runs in and stops the pin. James takes Tony and drags him over to the corner. Maritato then steps out of the ring and right away is tagged in by Tony. James runs into the ring and goes for a clothesline but Daniels ducks under, hits a boot to the gut, and hits the Angel’s Wings. Daniels goes for the cover and gets the 1-2-NO! Maritato kicks out. Daniels has a look of shock on his face. He stands up and begins arguing with the referee. Daniels backs the referee into the corner. Maritato gets up and goes for a splash on Daniels, but Christopher moves out of the way, leaving the referee to take the splash. Daniels grabs Maritato and hits an inverted DDT. He goes for the cover but the referee is too busy recovering to count the pin. Tony Mamaluke runs into the ring to attack Daniels but Morgan enters and stops him, taking Tony by the hair and launching him out of the ring. Donovan steps out of the ring to continue working over Mamaluke. Suddenly James Storm and Chris Harris come running down to the ring. They slide in and right away begin stomping on Daniels. Storm lifts Daniels up on his shoulders while Harris climbs to the top rope. He hits a flying clothesline on Daniels, sending the Fallen Angel crashing to the mat. Storm and Harris quickly leave the ring as Maritato crawls over and covers Daniels. The referee, having finally come to, counts the 1-2-3! The Maritato Waste Management Company win the X Tag Team Championship in 14:03. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Daniels and Morgan stand in the ring. Daniels has a microphone. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – James Storm and Chris Harris, this has gone too far! You want a match against Donovan and me? You’ll get it next week! But it won’t be for the titles because, well, we don’t have the tag titles anymore thanks to you. It’s obvious now that both of our teams can’t exist in the same company. So our match next week, the losing team must break up! James Storm and Chris Harris walk out to the ring. Harris has a mic. CHRIS HARRIS – Me and James are simple men. We only know how to do two things...kick ass and win! Daniels and Morgan, we’ll see you next week! Jerry Lynn stands in front of his open locker. He has a poster of AJ Styles on the inside of the locker door. JERRY LYNN – It’s been three weeks AJ. Three weeks since I nearly ended your career. And for three weeks you’ve been sitting at home, having to watch me do what you wish you could be doing. But you’ll be back soon AJ. I know it. You know it. And when you come back, we will fight. We have to. Lynn stops speaking and slowly turns around. He finds himself face to face with Scoot Andrews. SCOOT ANDREWS – You want a fight Lynn? Because AJ might not be here, but I am. And I’d love to kick your ever sorry ass. Jerry steps right into Scoot’s face. JERRY LYNN – Be careful. You might just get what you ask for. Jerry walks away. Chris Sabin takes on Sonny Siaki in the third X East Coast Championship Tournament match. Siaki is joined at ringside by his Divine Intervention cohorts Chris Divine and Quiet Storm. After a few minutes of action, Sabin hits the Future Shock on Siaki. He goes for the cover but the referee doesn’t count, as Chris Divine preoccupies him in the corner. Quiet Storm crawls into the ring and hits Sabin with a low blow. He lifts Sabin up and hits the Spinal Shock. Quiet Storm leaves the ring as Siaki crawls over and makes the cover. The referee turns around and counts the 1-2-3. Sonny Siaki wins the match and advances in the X East Coast Championship Tournament in 5:15. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Glen Gilberti takes on Simon Diamond in the final first round X East Coast Championship Tournament match. The match ends when Gilberti hits a DDT and goes for the cover, making sure to hook the tights. The referee counts 1-2-He notices Gilberti has hold of Diamond’s tights. He stops counting as Gilberti stands and raises his arms in victory. The referee forces Gilberti’s arm down and tells him that the match isn’t over. Gilberti begins arguing with the referee about this. Simon Diamond gets up and grabs Gilberti from behind. He hits the Simon Series on Gilberti and covers him for the 1-2-3. Simon Diamond wins the match and advances in the tournament in 6:37. As Diamond and Gilberti exit the ring, The X World Champion Steve Corino walks out. He rolls into the ring and grabs a microphone. STEVE CORINO – Kid Kash, I know you’re here and I know what you want. I know what this whole thing has been about between you, me, and Trinity. The X World Title. I used Trinity to beat you and become the champion. And now you’re using Trinity to try and get to me because you want the title. Well let’s just stop the game Kash. You want a shot at the world title, then next week in New Jersey I’ll give you a shot at the title. Kid Kash comes walking out. He has a microphone. KID KASH – You and me for the title next week, huh Corino? STEVE CORINO – That’s right. KID KASH – Consider it a date. Kash and Corino stare at each other, both men smiling slightly. COMMERCIAL BREAK... The Old School Crew of Michael Shane and Mike Sanders stand in the ring. The lights in the arena go out and rave music begins playing. Out come Izzy and Dixie, the DWD, carrying a wooden table. They place the table on the outside of the ring and slide in, right away starting to exchange punches with Sanders and Shane. The referee calls for the bell and tries to gain some sort of control of the match, but right away he realizes that’s almost impossible. Izzy and Dixie hit a double drop kick to Sanders, sending him out of the ring. Sanders gets to his feet and Dixie runs, springs up to the top rope, and hits a plancha onto Sanders. As both men struggle back to their feet, Izzy runs, lifts himself up onto the top rope, and hits a moonsault onto both Dixie and Sanders. Michael Shane then runs and hits a suicide dive out of the ring, landing on all three men. The men finally recover and Sanders rolls Dixie into the ring. Outside, Izzy takes the table the DWD brought out earlier and places it so that either end is resting on the ring and the guardrail. Izzy turns around and is met with a swift super kick to the chin by Michael Shane. Sanders steps out of the ring and stands on the edge of the table. Dixie charges towards him but Sanders catches him and pulls him over the top rope. He then delivers a DDT to Dixie, crashing him through the middle of the table. Shane rolls Izzy back into the ring. He climbs up to the top rope and goes for the Picture Perfect Elbow, but Dixie moves out of the way, leaving Shane to hit the mat hard. Dixie exits the ring and grabs a steel chair. He rolls back into the ring and opens the chair, placing it in the center. Dixie takes Michael Shane and lays his head on the top of the chair. Dixie then springboards onto the top rope and dives off with a leg drop onto the back of Shane’s head. Michael Shane drops to the mat and grabs his throat, kicking in pain. The referee appears to have finally had enough and calls for the bell to stop the match at 8:21. Mike Sanders checks on Michael Shane, while Izzy and Dixie leave the ring clearly happy at their actions. COMMERCIAL BREAK... James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke are backstage with their newly won X Tag Team Title belts. JAMES MARITATO – We did it Tony, we did it! Tag Team Champions! TONY MAMALUKE – Yeah, dis is the second best day of my life. JAMES MARITATO – Whoa whoa, second best? TONY MAMALUKE – Yeah. JAMES MARITATO – So what was the best? TONY MAMALUKE – Da day I became a made man, duh. JAMES MARITATO – All I know is now that we got the X Tag Team Titles, we will show the world why The Maritato Waste Management Company is a legitimate threat. Maritato and Mamaluke nod at each other with complete confidence. The Messiah, Singapore cane in hand, makes his way down to the ring for the X Boston Massacre Match. As he heads out, Joey Styles reminds us what the rules of the match are. There are no disqualifications, falls count anywhere, and the only way to win the match is by getting two consecutive pinfalls. Once Messiah is in the ring, Tommy Dreamer makes his way out. Dreamer stands in the entranceway and stares at The Messiah. Dreamer holds his arms out in a crucifix position. Messiah sees this and nods his head. COMMERCIAL BREAK... Dreamer and Messiah continue staring at each other as the bell sounds to start the match. Dreamer charges into the ring, sliding in and going straight for Messiah. The Messiah takes a swing at Tommy with the Singapore cane, but Dreamer ducks under and hits Messiah from behind with a kick straight to the groin. Messiah instantly doubles over in pain and Dreamer hits a DDT. He goes for the cover but Messiah kicks out at two. Dreamer steps out of the ring and reaches under the ring. He pulls a steel chair. Messiah sees this and runs to hit a baseball slide, kicking the chair into Dreamer’s face. Tommy rests up against the guardrail, recovering. Messiah steps out onto the side of the ring. He springs up onto the middle rope and into a moonsault on Dreamer. Messiah lands on his feet in the audience, while Dreamer is laid over the top of the guardrail. Fans sitting in the first few rows quickly get up as Messiah pulls Dreamer over in an inverted DDT set up, only to suplex him chest first onto a bunch of now empty chairs. Messiah goes for the cover and scores the 1-2-3. Now with one pin under his belt, Messiah quickly tries for the second but Dreamer kicks out at two. Messiah walks over to the guardrail and climbs up, taking a moment to balance himself. Dreamer gets to his feet and walks over towards the guardrail. Messiah launches off with a splash attempt but Dreamer catches him. Tommy turns with Messiah in his grasps and begins running straight down the aisle towards the wall. He slams Messiah hard against the wall. Dreamer turns back around and again takes off running, this time smashing Messiah’s back into the guardrail. He takes Messiah and drops him down crotch first on the guardrail. As Messiah recovers, Dreamer takes a steel chair and wallops his enemy hard across the head, leaving Messiah to fall off of the guardrail and onto the floor. Dreamer climbs over the guardrail and places the chair down on Messiah’s face. He then drops a quick elbow onto the chair and covers Messiah for the 1-2-3. Dreamer now has one pin and is in the driver’s seat. Dreamer reaches under the ring as Messiah is left laying on the floor. Tommy pulls out a glass panel. Joey Styles reminds us that the last time Dreamer took out a glass panel, The Messiah went straight through it! Will that happen again tonight? COMMERCIAL BREAK... Dreamer has set up the glass panel across two open chairs in the ring. He reaches under the ring again and pulls out a wooden table. Dreamer sets the table up outside of the ring. Messiah begins crawling around the ring. His face is covered in a crimson mask. Dreamer begins following Messiah. He pulls Messiah to his feet but right away Messiah pokes Dreamer in the eye. As Tommy recovers, Messiah makes his way into the audience, moving as quickly as he can through the crowd. Dreamer follows after him. He finally catches up with Messiah near a staircase. Dreamer begins unloading on Messiah with punch after punch. Messiah manages to hit Dreamer with a boot to the gut. He crawls up the staircase to the second level of the audience. Dreamer follows after Messiah once again. Tommy gets up to the second level but can’t find Messiah. Suddenly Messiah comes running out with a steel chair straight to Dreamer’s head. Tommy stumbles backwards some. Messiah lines Dreamer up as we see that Dreamer is standing right in front of an empty wheelchair. Messiah nails Dreamer square in the forehead with the chair, causing Dreamer to fall back into the wheelchair. Messiah stands over Dreamer and begins punching him repeatedly in the head, making him bleed. Messiah stands behind the wheelchair. He takes off running, pushing the wheelchair. Messiah sends the wheelchair flying off of the unguarded second level edge, causing Dreamer to fall face first onto the unforgiving concrete floor. As Dreamer lays possibly dead, Messiah launches himself from the second level onto Dreamer with a splash. He turns Dreamer over and covers him for the 1-2-3. Messiah now has one pin and the match continues. Both men lay bleeding and bruised as Joey Styles wonders how either man can possibly continue? COMMERCIAL BREAK... The Messiah and Tommy Dreamer, both bleeding like undercooked steak, make their way back to the ringside area. Messiah reaches under the ring and pulls out a sack. He opens the sack and spills out hundreds of thumbtacks on the table Dreamer set up earlier outside of the ring. Dreamer charges towards Messiah and hits him with a forearm to the face. Dreamer grabs his ribs and stumbles back some, clearly still hurt from the spill he took earlier. Messiah kicks Dreamer hard in the ribs and goes for a suplex, clearly hoping to land Dreamer on the thumbtack covered table. Dreamer blocks the suplex and begins punching Messiah repeatedly in the face. Dreamer grabs Messiah and switches positions with him. He then takes Messiah over with a belly to belly suplex, landing through the thumbtack covered table. Messiah begins squirming around in pain. Dreamer gets to his feet and rolls into the ring. Messiah, out of pure adrenaline, gets to his feet. Thumbtacks can be seen stuck to his back and legs. Dreamer slowly walks towards the corner in the ring. He begins to climb up to the top rope, but it takes him a long time as his ribs are still quite sore. Messiah rolls into the ring and runs over to Dreamer, nailing him in the back with a forearm and stopping him on the middle rope. Messiah climbs up alongside Dreamer. Both men reach the top rope. Messiah takes Dreamer into a side suplex. Messiah launches himself and Dreamer off of the top rope and through the glass panel Dreamer set up earlier. Both men lay unconscious in shattered glass. The referee stares in shock at both men. He notices that Messiah has landed with his arm over Dreamer’s shoulder. The referee quickly counts the 1-2-3, giving Messiah his second pinfall in a row. The Messiah wins the X Boston Massacre match in 41:02. Both Dreamer and Messiah remain unconscious on the mat, their chests moving up and down being the only sign that either man is alive. EMTs begin running down to the ring as Joey Styles tells us The X will be in New Jersey next week with Steve Corino defending the X World Title against Kid Kash. ©2003 The X-Entertainment
