Guest the r-train Report post Posted July 27, 2003 I don't know how much faith you can put into this, but here's what was posted at www.tvshowboards.com/wrestling "My hope is that this message doesn't find it's way to the family of Johnathan Dennis Tenta before the hospital breaks the news to them in whatever fashion they feel is appropriate. It is not my wish to hurt any of his friends or family in posting this message so early into the story. My mother works the third floor of St. Mercy Hospital in Cedar Oaks, Arkansas. Evidently, at 10:04 pm on July 26, a man; late 40's was admitted, complaining or sharp chest pain, as well as difficulty breathing and passing stool. That man was later found to be John Tenta, better known to wrestling fans as Earthquake, Shark, Golga, and the Disciple. The diagnosis was that a mass of tissue had worked it's way through Tenta's bloodstream, and became entrapped in his upper aorta. It was no secret that Tenta's already mighty weight put quite the strain on an otherwise healthy heart, but once you factor a mass of tissue trying to invade the inner chambers of that same heart, and it comes as no surprise that shortly after 10:05 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2003; Sir John Tenta was pronounced dead by attending physician, Janet Ramble, D.D.S. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mr. Tenta's life-partner, Susan Tenta, and his children, also named Susan. You will be missed, Shark." My condolences to his family and friends if this is true. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Wouldn't suprise me if it's true, but then again the Vader one wouldn't have etiher and that turned out to be false. If it's true I imagine WrestleCrap will talk about it as they interviewed Tenta I think.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted July 27, 2003 This is a lame spoof. Poorly written article. and DDS as a professional title mean dentist doesn't it?
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted July 27, 2003 RD (from Wrestlecrap) actually became good friends with Tenta, following the interview. Obviously, I'll state that we need a credible source to report this first, before we jump to any conclusions.

Guest the r-train Report post Posted July 27, 2003 You guys, I just noticed that the guy who put this up has that his sister works there in the subject, but that his mother works there in the text. I think he's lying, and I'm sorry for putting this up prematurely if it's not true.

Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Another observation: it says that he's survived by his "life partner, Susan Tenta" rather than his wife. Why does his non-wife have the same last name as him? And it also says his "children, also named Susan" ... is he like George Foreman, and name all his kids the same name, or should that just say "child, also named Susan"? Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted July 28, 2003 I'm just going to close this since it's obviously false. Just be a bit more sure about the "news" when you post it.
