Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 I've been re-reading old issues of Maxim Magazine, and just read the one dated September 2001 ... in one of the articles it gives 8/1 odds that there would be a "major terrorist attack on US soil". Looking at the date referenced for the October issue to go onsale, it looks like the September issue went on the stands in late August. Sorry if this doesn't deserve it's own thread, I just read it last night and thought it was wicked coincidental.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Wasn't there a Rap group that had a CD cover with WTC being crashed into that was VERY similar to the actual image?
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Who's On the cover, since I have a load of issues from that time period aswell I think it's Jolene Blalock, but I'm not 100% positive. I'm at work now so can't just grab the issue. I'll doublecheck when I get home later and confirm if it's her or not.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Wasn't there a Rap group that had a CD cover with WTC being crashed into that was VERY similar to the actual image? Yeah it was a rap duo that had one holding a bomb detonator like they have in cartoons, while the building was blowing up. It was released between like a month or week before it happened I believe. Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 28, 2003 well Slayer's new album "God Hates Us All" also was released on Sept. 11th 2001.....oh the irony.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 28, 2003 All other such odd album realses pale in comparison to Dream Theater. They had an album slated for release on September 11th, which I believe was Live Scenes from New York. Anyway, the album cover depicted the New York skyline in flames. It was, of course, quickly pulled and replaced with a different cover.

Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted July 29, 2003 I think it just goes to show that Bin Laden wasn't the only one pissed off and targeting the WTC. Not saying it's right, but it certainly wasn't a very original idea or one that hadn't been thought about by MANY people during that same time frame. When MAXIM is predicting it, you know you've got trouble a-brewing.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 29, 2003 This one was suppose to come out too just after 9/11. Flaming apple with the trade towers in the middle of it
Guest JangoFett4Hire Report post Posted July 29, 2003 No, Dream Theatre's release date for their live CD recorded in NY was none other than 9/11...

When MAXIM is predicting it, you know you've got trouble a-brewing. Keep in mind Al Qaeda tried taking down the WTC 8 years earlier. Sadly, the the WTC represented the evils of our capitalist society to alot of people.

They most likely would have predicted the White House if they were going to make a prediction on an actual location.
