Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted March 31, 2002 Before the split there were around 60 or so people on the WWF roster, thats too much. now there are 30 on "each roster", which is still too much for one show,, concidering the WWF format of running a show (5 matches a show, lasting 5 to 10 minutes each. a bunch of interviews lasting 5 to 25 minutes each. and random recaps.) to give everyone a chance to shine they would have to do like 4 different tv shows a week like this; the hardcore division on one show, the cruiserweights on another, the Raw Upper/Upper Middle Card on another, and the Smackdown Upper/Upper Middle Card on yet another. maybe they will have the first hour of RAW "Hardcore Time", the second hour "Upper/Upper Mid Card Time." Smackdown's first hour "Cruiser Time" and the second "Upper/Upper Mid Card Time". Of course they won't get everyone in in the time, but they can just rotate the rosters weekly. Of course they aren't looking to let people shine, it is just to give vince more money, by running more house shows, thus still underusing the talent by letting them only wrestle on the house shows, and eventually running 2 PPV's a month. Sorry for my incoherant ramblings
Guest godthedog Report post Posted March 31, 2002 i like what they're doing with the split, although i think it ultimately won't work. the smackdown roster is pretty lean & mean, with most of the crap i don't like on raw. aside from the people who don't get smackdown, i don't understand all the bitching about how bad raw is going to be, because the worse raw is, the better smackdown is. think about it: would you rather watch wrestlemania 14 (with mostly decent stuff but nothing great), or wrestlemania 10 (with a lot of crap but 2 classic matches)? Oh my god! Do you mean to tell me that Vince actually runs the WWF to make money, rather than to "let people shine"? What a horrible attitude for a businessman...
