Guest mach7 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 What is with all the old games coming out for the GBA? Gives people a way to play them if they don't own a SNES/NES? Plus you can carry it around with you. Though, at least they seem to be adding new stuff to all of these remakes when they release them on GBA, so that's cool. Guest teke184 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Retro gaming on the GBA has been good for the most part. The only crap translation I really remember for older games are the Williams Collection (Sinistar and Robotron are unplayable due to the screen and controls, respectively) and Super Dodge Ball (handles like crap compared to the original). I'd love to see more arcade classics packs since the Konami Collection was high quality (Time Pilot, Yie Ar Kung Fu, Rush' N Attack, and Frogger are great translations). I'd also like to see certain NES and SNES games released for it. Golgo 13- Top Secret Episode anybody?
Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Kick ass. I'll more than likely pick up both of these games. River City Ransom rocked my world back in the NES days.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Double Dragon? Eh, I'd prefer to see Streets of Rage 2. RCR I'll probably get, though.
Guest mach7 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 River City Ransom!!! You think they'd make the graphics a little better than that though. True, but I like the old school style. At least there's shading in this version. ;p I wonder if the "Engrish" will be as horrible as the original. Some of that shit was hilarious.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 What I loved about River City Ransom was it was one of the most in depth Beat em Up games I've ever seen. Like how you could enter stores and buy things and the ability to take an exit to the north instead of just going straight, and the little comments when you beat someone. JasonX 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Double Dragon River City Ransom EX I'm all over these! Which version of Double Dragon is getting ported? The arcade version? The NES version? Or the lame Saturday Morning Cartoon version with the Shadow Master being a magic ghost who wears a black suit and has his grey hair in a pony tail?
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted August 2, 2003 Which version of Double Dragon is getting ported? The arcade version? The NES version? Or the lame Saturday Morning Cartoon version with the Shadow Master being a magic ghost who wears a black suit and has his grey hair in a pony tail? The pictures seem to indicate the Arcade version, although a big head mode or the cartoony version as a port would make a neat bonus if they could fit it in.
