Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 I felt like drumming up some conversation and I haven't seen a lot of general threads in this folder. Basically, outside of big guns like Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wolverine and the like, who are your favorite undderated or lower tier heroes and characters in comics. My two favorite heroes of all time are Green Arrow and Dr. Strange. I think they are just both really cool and don't conform to the norm. I also dig both of their looks. I also think that they have been involved in some awesome stories that often get overlooked or little notice.

I kind of like Vandal Savage as well, ever since reading Kingdom Come where he snaps that womans neck, i've always thought hat was pretty great.

Actually you could say that about several of the Warriors, since the concept was to take some 3rd-tier characters and make them into a team. I guess I liked them all. Well, except for Bandit.
Guest Grand Slam Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 I'm not sure he is a "second-tier" character, but I always loved Thor. For a true second stringer, I have to go with Dr. Strange. Oh, and don;t forget one of the greatest mini-series I have ever read: "Damage Control". Great stuff.
Guest Vyce Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 The Creeper. He may be 3rd-tier at best, but still, I always thought they could have done a lot with him. The guy's insane. A lot of times they just present him as goofy, but in our modern age they could have easily inserted a dark subtext there that would have truly made the character edgy.

Guest Goodear Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I have to admit I have a weird affinity for Dr. Mid-Nite of the Justice Society, if only because he actually is a doctor of medicine! With all the injuries that take place 'in the field' you would think every group in the world would be trying to sign this guy up for duty. Anyway, I just dig the guy.
