Guest Big_Jay101 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Will it work on ps2 or other american dvd players. it is an all region dvd
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Yes, NTSC is basically the type of electrical current the US uses. PAL is Europe, Australia and some places in Japan although most of Japan is NTSC. You should be fine.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I was wondering what "NTSC" meant as well. It's on most of my Xbox games.
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 NTSC is the video standard that we use in the USA. It basically is just the term that sums up the refresh rate, frame rate, resolution, number of frames/fields, etc. for video standards. Like mentioned before PAL is the standard used in most of Europe. There are others like SECAM and other stuff, but basically if you live in North America, NTSC is all you need to worry about.
Guest Karnage Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Does PAL run at a slightly faster rate than NTSC?
Guest Big_Jay101 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 So if i get a region 0 NTSC it will play on my ps2 sorry im a dumbass.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I hate to say it, but -most- if not all Region 0 releases are bootlegs. Avoid at all cost.
Guest eiker_ir Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 that doesn't mean there aren't commercial Region 0 DVDs. Oh and to help you, there are Region 0 PAL adn Region 0 NTSC DVDs, in order for the disc to play on your PS2, it should be NTSC Region1 or 0
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Yeah I have a Region 0 DVD, Haggard by Bam Margera. I've seen others labeled region 0 in stores too.
Guest mach7 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I was wondering what "NTSC" meant as well. It's on most of my Xbox games. NTSC = National Television Standards Committee
Guest Razor Roman Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Does PAL run at a slightly faster rate than NTSC? Actually if memory serves PAL runs at a slower rate. NTSC has a refresh rate of 60 Hz (which is 30 interlaced frames per second) and I think pal is at 50 Hz which would be 25 fps.
Guest razazteca Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Alot of porn is in Region O, I think the Private series is one of them.
Guest eiker_ir Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 (edited) i have the Halloween TV version DVD and it's Region 0, and according to DVD Profiler, WWF No Mercy 2001 is region 0 too. Edited July 31, 2003 by eiker_ir
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I'd say 99.9% of all US porn DVDs are region-free, all region or region 0.
Guest Big_Jay101 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 28 days later is on ebay and it is NTSC region 0 i think its from Britain
