Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Yep, it's time for another monthly update. Some minor notes here... Since Battleground 2 isn't released yet, K-Os and Lady Red get another appearance on this list. (Lucky them.) Three people on this list are gone and will be removed on the 5th after their 30 days are up. (Those are Thomas Menias, Renegade, and Josh Tupper.) That's it... read and comment away. SJL HISTORIAN'S RANKINGS - Updated through March 31, 2002 Explanation of Rankings: The rankings are determined as follows. All wrestlers that have been booked in the last thirty days are listed, whether or not they are currently active SJL members. (The only exception is with someone bumped to the SWF, who is removed immediately after his or her first SWF booking.) Each wrestler gets one point for each full month that has passed between his or her first and last booking dates. Then, for each win, he or she gets one point for each opposing side in the match. (Therefore a singles match is worth two points, a triple threat worth three, etc.) A wrestler loses one point for each loss - including no shows. If the match is a no contest or double no show, the match is stricken from the record - both sides "luck out" and don't lose any points, as though the match never existed. Wins and losses are determined from the wrestler's match record (in character), not the writer's record (out of character). Finally, points are granted for title wins as follows: winning the SJL World title grants an additional three points, the SJL European title two points, and the SJL Television title, now-retired Tag/Stables titles, and now-retired Eastern United States title one point. Each wrestler also gets one point for each successful defense of any title. In the case of the Tag/Stables titles, a stable member only received points for title wins or defenses where he or she actually took part in the match. How to Read the Rankings: Next to each wrestler's name is his or her point total. "Career" indicates the length of the wrestler's SJL tenure, from first booking date to last. "Record" indicates wins followed by losses. (Don't be alarmed by the number of losing records. It's normal to have a majority of wrestlers with losing records, given the large number of multiple opponent matches such as triple threats.) "Titles" indicates all titles and title defenses attributed to that wrestler. Finally, "Others" indicates any other personas or characters that writer has used in the SJL. All personas have been combined to form a final score. (If any personas are incorrect, or if you have another persona you wish to report, please PM me.) "Last Month" should be self-explanatory. #1. Guest Shawn Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Damn. Down one. It must be all the returnees and the no-shows... Are new Title Histories coming too? I'm eager to see if I topped Annie or not. I don't think so, though...
Guest Insanityman Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Hey Pete, thanks first of all... but do you have any idea what I was since I left... point wise? If I return soon enough so I know where I stand. Thanks. (IL).
Guest ErekT2k Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 WHOO! Number 2!! Soon to be #1!! WHOO! *does the spineroonie*
Guest midnight_burn Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Yay, back on the list, tied 7th, not too shabby. Although out of active JL'ers i'm actually tied 3rd, so that's not too bad at all.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 IL, I don't remember how many points you have. If you came back I'd figure the total again from scratch. Brody, new title history will be out sometime today.
Guest ErekT2k Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Brody, how long was your title reign? Annie's was 37 days, longest TV title reign ever. How do I know? Well, remember I took LDP's reigns for awhile.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Brody's reign was 31 days--second highest in the TV division. Title history coming in a few minutes.
Guest Shawn Posted April 1, 2002 Report Posted April 1, 2002 Damn! If only I didn't job and held it for another week.

Guest Chuck Woolery Posted April 2, 2002 Report Posted April 2, 2002 Hey, LDP! I think you got me and Brody's records mixed up... I know for a fact I'm 6-4... so, yeah. Word, my historian brother, and keep up the cool shit. -Mike Van Siclen
Guest Shawn Posted April 2, 2002 Report Posted April 2, 2002 Tomcat, XF9 (no-show), MVS and Kojack (no-show) beat me. I have my wins somewhere else too. Also, how is MVS 6-1? I did kinda get him a few times plus Flesher for the Euro.
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted April 2, 2002 Report Posted April 2, 2002 WOW... that was quite a big jump. 3rd... now that's just wrong
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 2, 2002 Report Posted April 2, 2002 On Mike Van Siclen... 6-1 was a typo. His actual record is 6-11. (Remember, no-show losses count here.) On GoldenEye... he may have been part of XF9, but for the rankings, Tag/Stable titles only count if you were in a match where they were won or defended.
Guest Renegade Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 #2. ASH KETCHUM (39) Career: 6/30/01 - 3/30/02 Record: 24-26 (24-20 minus no-shows ) Titles: SJL Tag/Stables (2 wins, 1 defense) Last Month: #6 heh, if no shows didnt count, all our records would look much better, including my own
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Hehe... I know that would drastically improve my record Renegade But the ranks are still standing...
Guest Low Brass Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Cool. 21-24 is my final record, at least for now. THAT'S ALMOST 50%!!! HAHAHAH! I'VE DEFEATED 21 PEOPLE! Isn't it sad, thought, that in one year I've only been in 45 matches. And Erek Taylor's been in 39 in half that time. I rule so much. I am the master of taking leaves-of-absence! -Low Brass ugh...
Guest ErekT2k Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Bah @ Low Brass' fact. Well, at least in those 20 matches I won, I learned from it and I went to that place where *you* could never get..... I won the World Title. WHOO!
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I've only fought once, yet I'm 0-3? WHATSUPWITDAT?
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 You lost against Matthew Kivlle and Johnny Generic...
Guest WarMachine Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I've only fought once, yet I'm 0-3? WHATSUPWITDAT? Just to cover the bases of what you mean/what you're asking.... If you mean by the fact that you've wrestled "once", and now your previous record has now vanished. I guess once you're away for an extended amount of time, you start over. If you mean by the fact that you wrestled only *once*, and now you're stricken with losses you didn't know happened. No-shows. As I recall, you came back at the end of last year, or whenever it was. Anyway, you were booked on the card a couple times; but you didn't write. To me it just looked like you just went and disappeared. My recollection on this is fuzzy however.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 T-Bone, you had a couple of JL bookings in November (during the Red Storm Reich period) that were losses, I'm guessing they were no-shows. Just be thankful I don't count ML matches...
