Guest JHawk Report post Posted April 1, 2002 I do understand where you guys are coming from on most of these. But I've noticed Jazz show up on a few of these. My question would be "why?" And if your answer's "The women's division sucks", I'd agree wholeheartedly, but I do subscribe to Russo's theory that if you pay the women, they ought to wrestle (the only Russo theory I agree with, BTW), and Jazz is one of the few women who can actually wrestle. If they're not going to wrestle, they need to be a more traditional manager and not just be eye candy. I'd fire Torrie Wilson or Terri before Jazz. Torrie's great to look at but shows no interest in improving her in-ring or mic skills. Terri serves no purpose except as eye candy, and since she only shows up on Excess anyway it can't be that big a loss. My short list of firings: Bossman Rikishi Kevin Nash Terri Runnels
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Or, we could watch the nWClique bury each and every one of them on WWF TV. That'll only go on for so long, and it's debatable as to whether it's even happening now. The only person who has a case for claiming they've been buried is Jericho. Of the top guys listed there, Angle was featured much more prominently on TV than any member of the nWo (or Hogan or Triple H) last week. Austin took a self-imposed sabbatical, but he really hasn't been buried. He beat Hall clean at "WrestleMania" and hasn't been made to look bad or weak more than once since the beginning of the nWo angle. RVD is the Intercontinental champion last I checked, and has gotten the same treatment and roughly the same amount of TV time as the last several IC champs. Outside of that, all of the other guys were being buried well before the nWo angle began or Triple H returned.

My short list of firings: Bossman Rikishi Kevin Nash Terri Runnels I pretty much agree with this, and would counter by saying that the Women's division doesn't suck at all. Lita sucks. That cannot be disputed. Jazz is a good wrestler, though, and the only female in the WWF right now who's likely to get any heel heat. That being because she's ugly, and a predominately male audience is not going to treat any attractive woman as a heel regardless of how dastardly she may be. Jazz has completely saved the division by giving the other women a true heel to play off of. Trish has stepped up in recent months, Molly is great, and Ivory is capable of having a good match as well. The women's division is in the best spot it's been in for a long time due to women who can actually wrestle a decent match being given the opportunity to do just that on a regular basis. Guest Report post Posted April 1, 2002 10. Michael Cole 9. Christian 8. X-Pac 7. Big Show 6. Rikishi 5. D-Von Dudley 4. Bubba Ray Dudley (IMO, other than what they achieved in ECW, the Dudleys themselves bring nothing to the table) 3. Stephanie McMahon 2. Kevin Nash 1. Hulk Hogan Actually, I could deal with #s 4-10. They just irk me.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 1, 2002 That'll only go on for so long, and it's debatable as to whether it's even happening now. It will go on long enough. And how is it debatable? [. Guest gwf0704 Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Should angle be fired for breaking Hollys arm? No? Then where is the line? People on the old forum were saying that RVD needed to be fired for busting people open. Buddy, there is a difference between breaking and arm or busting someone's nose and crippling someone. Its apples and oranges. Injuries happen, sure, and they know the risks, but even SCSA was wary when Owen nearly broke his neck/spine. We agree to disagree, but as long as he doesn't do the move anymore then hopefully he can succeed, as to me he was a legit IC contender.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Coming from someone who's father just lost his job, I can safely say that I would not wish that experience on anyone, no matter how big an asshole they are.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 1, 2002 What I meant was where do you draw the line? Angle botched the sault...there's no reason he couldn't break someones neck with it. Should Owen have been fired? I wasn't being argumentative...it's just that some people will call for wrestlers to be fired for practically nothing (the RVD busting open thing) and some for more serious (paralyzing someone). I was just curious.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 1, 2002 The problem with most of these choices are that they are (for the most part) based solely on personal reasons. Sure, you don't like Hogan and HHH, but they have drawn a hell of a lot more money than Angle, RVD, or 99% of the current roster. How would you like it if someone who doesn't know you personally comes into your place of work and decides that they don't like you because of what they've heard you do to people, even if you've made your company TONS of money? I'm sorry, it just makes me mad when people treat people losing their jobs like it's no big deal.

Guest Risk Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Think I'll change my choices. 1) Stephanie McMahon 2) Triple H 3) Godfather 4) Bossman 5) Michael Cole 6) Lita 7) Hall 8) Nash 9) X-Pac 10) Shawn Michaels
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Can I still fire Test? Has he ever done anything to you personally that would justify it? (And don't say anything about having to watch one of his matches, since you can easily change the channel, leave the room, etc.)
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Has he ever done anything to you personally that would justify it? Well, there is his God Awful matc... (And don't say anything about having to watch one of his matches, since you can easily change the channel, leave the room, etc.) He killed my sister.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Well, then let the police take care of him, then.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted April 1, 2002 While he wouldn't be one of my first choices to get rid of were I trimming the roster, Test is a legitimate choice. He's never been REALLY over, his gimmick isn't popular, he's blown several main event level feuds (his one with the Rock being the most recent), and he doesn't sell merchandise. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 1, 2002 They don't believe me. They keep pointing to my sister being alive. Damned technicalities. Plus it would be so much fun to personally give him the pink slip and watch him sign up for unemployment.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 1, 2002 I can't believe you guys don't LOVE Test. Was he not going to marry Stephanie before HHH (Public Enemy #1) honed in on his territory? As for Test being competant in his profession: Has he ever seriously injured anyone in the ring? This seems to be a big argument in this thread.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 1, 2002 Was Crash Holly a serious injury? IIRC, it was something like a shoulder injury, which is no worse than Angle breaking Holly's arm (and no, I don't think Angle should be fired).
