Guest undisputedjericho Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah Bubba is from Jersey I think? No wonder he's a prick. Hey...
Lil' Bitch Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Bubba and Bradshaw have something in common.
Guest JMA Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I don't see why La Resistance is portrayed as French rather than French-Canadian. They're announced as being from Paris, but who knows if they've even been there? When they insulted the Canadian crowd I wanted to yell "Idiotis! You guys ARE French-Canadian!" I wonder how French and French-Canadian WWE fans are taking this angle.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Actually, Bubba is from New York I think, not Jersey.
Guest Quik Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah Bubba is from Jersey I think? No wonder he's a prick. Fuck you. Go Devils. Bubba's from Long Island, anyway.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 The best part of the whole thing on RAW was Bubba damning the French flag. Gof forbid the let the red, white & blue be shown in the US BAH GAWD!
Guest JMA Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 The best part of the whole thing on RAW was Bubba damning the French flag. Gof forbid the let the red, white & blue be shown in the US BAH GAWD! Heh. Really. He was even complaining about them waving it at the beginning of the match.
Guest notJames Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah Bubba is from Jersey I think? No wonder he's a prick. As has been said before, Buh Buh is from NY, hence the "NYHC" he sports on his wrist tape when he wrestles in the Empire State. And considering all the Garden Staters you just pissed off with that statement (myself included), methinks you better "Czech" yourself before you "wrech" yourself… As for the topic at hand, what ever happened to just wanting the championship belt(s)? Isn't that why they're all wrestlers?
Guest jester Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 As for the topic at hand, what ever happened to just wanting the championship belt(s)? Isn't that why they're all wrestlers? I thought that when Goldberg came out to challenge HHH on that episode of Raw. If Goldberg had said something like "You've got something I want" and pointed to the belt, it would have given their feud some meaning, and the cliqueweight belt more value.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 OMG......I got it!!!!......I know what the Dudleyz and La Resistance could feud over........I know it might sound strange but they could feud over........THE TAG TEAM TITLES!!!!
Guest JMA Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 OMG......I got it!!!!......I know what the Dudleyz and La Resistance could feud over........I know it might sound strange but they could feud over........THE TAG TEAM TITLES!!!! That would make much more sense than "We hate the French."
Guest jester Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 That would make much more sense than "We hate the French." Remember the days when foreign wrestlers weren't always automatically evil? The British Bulldogs were a face team, and wasn't Tito Santana from Mexico, at least in kafabe terms? WWE has since trained its audience to think "Not American = Evil."
Detective Comics Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I believe Chris Benoit is French Canadian. Triple H has some French in him as well. yeah, in his nose.
Guest JMA Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Speaking of big noses, I wonder if Flair has any French in him. Before he started to spell it differently, his last name was Fleir, I believe.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I wonder how French and French-Canadian WWE fans are taking this angle. Who cares? Making fun of the French is a proud American tradition, damnit! I still think they should have gayed it up.
Guest JMA Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Who cares? I do, obviously. Making fun of the French is a proud American tradition, damnit! Not really. It's more of a tradition for disgruntled blue-collar guys and dumb rednecks. The only person I've heard tell good French jokes is Al Bundy. Everyone else is simply trying to horn in on his schtich. I wonder if the French make fun of us as much as we do them. I still think they should have gayed it up. You mean like how they gayed up Angle and Lesnar? In all seriousness, stereotypes like that are pretty bad.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Who cares? I do, obviously. Yeah, well you're a FRENCH SUPPORTER~! Not really. It's more of a tradition for disgruntled blue-collar guys and dumb rednecks. And what's more American than that? Not Rednecks so much, bu the blue collar guys? You mean like how they gayed up Angle and Lesnar? They kind of are like Angle and Lesnar. They disrobe each other, in the very beginning they were all over each other in a subtle way. Watch early LR. I'm talking Rico though.
Guest JMA Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah, well you're a FRENCH SUPPORTER~! ; It's not so much I support them, it's just that I always root for the underdog. I simply want to see the people who hate France get their comeuppance. And I just wonder how this is going to affect French fans and French-Canadian fans. And what's more American than that? Not Rednecks so much, bu the blue collar guys? I said DISGRUNTLED blue-collar guys. You know, the guys who think the world owes them something because they're a WASP? They kind of are like Angle and Lesnar. They disrobe each other, in the very beginning they were all over each other in a subtle way. Watch early LR. I'm talking Rico though. I suppose Vince has already stereotyped everyone else. He has the Mafia based Italians, the holier than thou Regal, the dumbass redneck Bradshaw, ect.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah, well you're a FRENCH SUPPORTER~! ; It's not so much I support them, it's just that I always root for the underdog. I simply want to see the people who hate France get their comeuppance. That will likely happen when France does something that they deem worthwile.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 And considering all the Garden Staters you just pissed off with that statement (myself included), methinks you better "Czech" yourself before you "wrech" yourself… Sorry! I fucked up! I let my Devils hate get out of hand.
