Guest Flyboy Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 (edited) EA Sports has officially announced that Madden NFL 2004 has gone gold and that all versions will be shipping to stores on August 11. Madden NFL 2004 has a number of new features not found in previous incarnations of the series, including play maker control that lets players change plays before the snap and direct receivers and blockers after the snap. In addition, the game features an in-depth owner mode where players will have to manage just about every aspect of the franchise, even pricing of food at the stadium. Madden NFL 2004 for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PlayStation, and Game Boy Advance will be on store shelves on August 14. Credit: Gamespot.com EDIT: Nice video of Owner Mode. Guest Vitamin X Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 It has gone GOLD? How has it sold already..??
Guest Flyboy Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Going gold is a gaming term that means that the game is finished and is ready to be shipped.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 Then you need to get out more, buddy.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 Then you need to get out more, buddy. Fuck you.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 I can't wait for this game..psm gave it a ten, it's out in less than two weeks, and i can't wait to control the prices on bratwurst at soldier field. BTW, Dead Like Me owns all...and George is hot. anyone catch the new episode?
Guest Flyboy Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 BTW, Dead Like Me owns all...and George is hot. anyone catch the new episode? FUCK YES. Another one. It's just you, me, and Spiff. I watch every episode. And I can't wait to do my draft with players from NCAA in Madden.

Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Was listening about it on the special NFL Around the Horn tonight. Getting to relocate you team is sweet. Having people BOO you if you make a "bad" pick on draft day is sweeter. I can't wait to pick it up and start moving in classes from NCAA 2004.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I can't wait to pick it up and start moving in classes from NCAA 2004. You're not the only fucking one.
Guest Choken One Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 How the fuck is Dillion an 93? He is a 95. Picky...I know.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I have a problem with some of the ratings as well. Vick a 95? Fuck that. Good thing I'll edit them.
Guest Choken One Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 You'd think they suck his dick as he is the cover boy...
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 You'd think they suck his dick as he is the cover boy... They did, too. But, I'm going to lower his rating when I get the game so it's all good.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 What did David Carr do to get an 83?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Suggs can't be a 77. Redman and Boller can't both be a 75. Redman is probably more like a 65 and Boller, I don't know. Killa Ray Ray 99 Who's dumb joke is that?
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Killa Ray Ray 99 Who's dumb joke is that? I really don't consider it a joke.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 What did David Carr do to get an 83? He plays for the Texans. Thusly, he gets a reprieve. ...every single year.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I continue to bring the goodness: Tutorial video of Playmaker (Xbox version)
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Crazy Guy on the Raiders Flying Saucer Fuamatalalal (Granted, I can't spell his name either..) Sch!)$#^)*& from the Lions The 49ers not getting any names..
Guest the pinjockey Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 McFlabb....oh the hilarity. I can't wait to see what they gave Vick for a speed rating. And Eddie George an 88 my ass. They should have him barely pushing an 80 at this point. (And don't get me going about Emmitt Smith over Marcel Shipp)
Guest Zero_Cool Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 Chad Hutchinson got short changed..the man is pushing 80, at least..or make Quincy Carter is 65 with an awareness rating of 40, cuz he so stupid! I wonder about Grossman, though..
Guest Zero_Cool Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 And for Dead Like Me, we need to make some official threads every friday night..cuz I could've used it last episode with that woman showing up and replacing Rebecca Gayheart..and you'd think that after all those years the woman would change the way she talks and stuff...but at least Mason is cool, the episode where he was smuggling shit was great.. Heh and one of the first things im doing when I get the game is moving the Bengals the fuck out of Cincinatti.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 And for Dead Like Me, we need to make some official threads every friday night.. (There's one there)
Guest bravesfan Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 Fuamatalalal (Granted, I can't spell his name either..) Fuamatuma'afala. (FOO-AH-MA-TOO-MA-AH-FAH-LA.) Just call him "Fu"; the local Hawaiian sportscasters love the guy and the Samoan (IIRC) name. San Francisco 49ers: WR#81 99 Hmm... ... ... ... ... ... BOO-YAH!
Guest NoCalMike Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I can't wait to get this game. Just like every year. Not only is the game great, but it is another step towards the NFL season. Not to mention turning in Madden 2003 usually gets me $20 off the price for the new one.......HELL YEAH~!
Guest Flyboy Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Madden has lost it's "great" stigma in my eyes. I mark for the game, yes, and I want it, BUT Sega's franchise is greatly improving. I hear Playmaker can make the game feel like Live's free-style control at times and I hate Live. But, with Madden's franchise mode, newly added Owner mode, AND being able to export NCAA into Madden.. well, I'm stoked. I just have a feeling that ESPN NFL Football will be just as good as Madden if not better.
