Guest rawmvp Report post Posted August 2, 2003 With HHH severely straining his groin, there is the possible chance that he may have to forgo his match will Goldberg at SummerSlam. Now, if he is unable to compete, what should or will be the main event? IMO, if HHH can't compete, Vince has to pony up and bring back another HHH -- that's right, Hollywood Hulk Hogan. There's that historic match between Hogan and Goldberg at the Georgia Dome. WWE can replay the match on Confidential, for instance, to refresh the fans' minds and a week or two later, Hogan can show up on RAW and challenge Goldberg to a rematch, or something to that effect. I think a Hogan-Goldberg rematch will draw better than HHH vs. Goldberg anyway. What will happen: HHH (after losing his smile) forfeits his belt to Goldberg, devaluing the belt even more. Goldberg defends the fake title against Kevin Nash at the PPV. Nash, however, "blacks out" before the match even takes place, prompting Goldberg to cover him for the 1-2-3. J. Hungerford Smith 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 HHH will wrestle at Summerslam. If anything, the injury will probably motivate him to give his match even MORE time than he normally would. Dare I say longer than his match with Steiner at Rumble?
Invictus 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 (edited) It would be interesting, to be sure, and could really be a good money maker for the company. Think about the riveting moveset: Big boot, legdrop, Pose versus Spear, Jackhammer, Pose. I doubt people the world over could handle or appreciate the sheer technical skill the match would contain. In all seriousness I sincerely doubt Vince would bring Hogan back again so quickly after their relationship soured these past couple months. Your post gave me a funny idea though, Hogan could come back to RAW and say HE is the true HHH, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, and compete in a program with HHH. It would be Steiner/HHH all over again. Money in the bank, Vince. Money in the bank. Edited August 2, 2003 by Invictus
Guest rawmvp Report post Posted August 2, 2003 too bad Hogan and HHH already feuded in may 2002, which culminated with Hogan winning the WWE Title
Invictus 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 (edited) Either way, I'm sure HHH will pull it together in time for the SummerSlam match. It won't be pretty, but damn it, that plucky underdog will make it to SummerSlam! Edited August 2, 2003 by Invictus
Guest Deviant Report post Posted August 2, 2003 HHH will wrestle because he is professional as far as big-time matches are concerned. Unfortunately, that all but guarantees Goldberg as champion, which was a sad, inevitable fact to begin with... No SS replacement would suffice though. HHH has had a drawn out to breaking point title reign and just about has to lose the title now. If HHH can't go, the SS main event will be from SD.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted August 2, 2003 I think HHH is extremely professional when it comes to showing-up and wrestling.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted August 2, 2003 I f Hatche casnnot wrersrle i'd look for the man to fac3 goldberg to be in the form of two words....Harvey and Wippleman. HHH finally off3ers him a spot in DDX abd Harvewy jumps tp the opportunity. I smell buyrates.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted August 2, 2003 HHH shows up to Summerslam to go over Goldberg as long as he is still breathing.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted August 2, 2003 It depends on how serious the injury is. If he only needs a week or two off, I see him staying out of the ring until the ppv, retaining, then taking another couple of weeks off to fully heal. If he needs a long time off (like 4+ months), I see his entrance being longer than the actual match, ie. spear, jackhammer, new champ.

Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 If it was up to me i'll make it a 3 way dance with Kane/RVD/Shitberg, and either give it to RVD(my 1st choice) or Kane. Either way i know i'll have a champ that will work house shows and overseas shows. But that's my opinion.

Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 Yup that's what i meant, think about how counterproductive is to have Shitberg as a champ. He MIGHT spike up the ratings if he wins but eventually people will get tired of his one dimensional personality. The guy is a primadonna and refuses to job to people(except for Austin or Rock), he wants to work 3 or 4 dates(raw tv shows or ppvs) a month and he still wrestles like a 3 year old. Either go for Kane(because his storyline is bringing ratings) or RVD(the fans are just dying to see him win), 2 wrestlers that are more valuable in my eyes to the WWE than Shitberg ever was to WCW.Goldberg's 15 minutes of fame was up back in 1999. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 what will happen though is that hhh will spent the next 3 weeks not wrestling and do only a short match With goldberg wrestling wise, but they will stretch it out with alot of outside interferance by Orton and Flair. Then Goldberg will win and HHH will go off and rehab and we will get another Desire video out of it... ITS A BEAUTIFUL DAYYYYY
Detective Comics 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2003 I think HHH is extremely professional when it comes to showing-up and wrestling. Yeah, so he can walk around and say he desrves to be champ since he is the most dedicated and always wrestles while injured... lets face it, the guy is always injured, and I wanna start a bet right here.... what do you think his next injury will be? I say something to do with the knee... maybe a hyperextension... can that even be done to a knee? well, if anyone can do it, it's Hunter!
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted August 2, 2003 If Trips can't wrestle, put the title up for grabs in a 6 or 8 man tournament. Of course, since this is Raw, it would probably be a 6 or 8 man Battle Royal, but thems the breaks.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted August 2, 2003 my question is, what do you DO with goldberg after he has the title?
Guest edotherocket Report post Posted August 2, 2003 I guess he can beat Jericho a couple more times. Or turn Nash heel and go with that. He shouldn't really hold it that long though right? Like a couple of months tops. By then Triple H will be fit again so he can have it back.
Guest jester Report post Posted August 2, 2003 This is such a dilemma. On one hand, they should put the title on Goldberg now. The fans are too used to this formula: 1. HHH and opponent spend weeks jawing at each other and doing everything but wrestle 2. On the off chance they do wrestle, it's a mixed tag in which the face actually picks up the win. 3. 1st PPV match: HHH loses through deliberate DQ. 4. 2nd PPV match: HHH wins. If HHH wins at SSlam, the fans will think "Great. Another Steiner/Nash/Booker. I can't wait until HHH wins clean at the next PPV." So Goldberg should take the title at SSlam to break this cycle. On the other hand, Goldberg is Goldberg.
Guest Quik Report post Posted August 2, 2003 I still think they should bring in a German wrestler to play the role of a Nazi. Instant feud with Goldberg. Guest CronoT Report post Posted August 2, 2003 my question is, what do you DO with goldberg after he has the title? After Kane kills Shane and/or RVD, have him go on another psycho run, and have the RAW main event at Survivor Series be Goldberg vs. Kane. Kane wins the title, and now Triple H is back from his latest injury. Triple challenges Kane for the title at the next RAW PPV, and Kane slaughters him. Triple H wants a rematch, but Goldberg complains that he should get a match first, since he never got his contractually obligated rematch. Bischoff comes out, and says they both have to earn their title shots, so while RVD faces Kane for the title at the Royal Pumble PPV, both Goldberg and Triple H will be entered in the Royal Rumble match. Re-do the Two-Man Royal Rumble win, and like last time, both guys have to have two matches. Goldberg gets Jericho, and Triple H gets Nash. Triple H has a walk with Nash, but Jericho hands Goldberg a loss. I think we all know how it goes down from there. Triple H gets stomped, and Goldberg walks away with the title. NO SELLS GALORE i think u mean no buys galore cuz i dont think too many people be buying a show with that as the main event, HHH will do the right thing sand show up for the sohw and try to pull out a half decent match, he can then take some time off coming back at the next RAW PPV
