Guest rawmvp Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 I was thinking the other day...if WWE booked for the long-term, they should ideally come up with something like this: On the Smackdown side, I'd like to see a 4-man tournament for the WWE Title, ala Vengeance 2001: -Chris Benoit vs. Brock Lesnar (Face Benoit beats Heel Lesnar) -Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero ( Face Angle defeats Heel Eddie) -Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle (Face Benoit beats a Face Angle to finally become the WWE champion; the two best technical wrestlers in the world embrace in the ring) For the CW Title: Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. Tajiri 10-man Smackdown SSeries Elimination match: M.Hardy/TWGTT/Cena/Show vs. Taker//Kidman/Gunn/ Noble/Gowen -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the RAW side: -HHH/Flair/Orton/Y2J vs. HBk/Goldberg/Foley/Booker T in an Elimination Chamber/HIAC match -Kane vs. RVD in a street fight (with RVD finally going over to end this feud) -Dudleys/Goldust/Hurricane/Steiner vs. Test/X-stain/Storm/La Resistance in a 10-man SSeries Elimination bout. It kinda makes sense, doesn't it?

The WWE title lineage is unbroken since 9/99. It's doing pretty good after a few years with a few vacancies. Let's keep it going. #2--Assuming we get Heel Lesnar vs. Face Angle at Summerslam, you're right in booking something different. However, a face/face Benoit vs. Angle match with Benoit going over might be too soon. If it were to happen, I'd have Benoit turn heel just during the match, with his frustration over never winning the belt or beating Angle when it counted just exploding. Attacks on the neck a-plenty. No embrace afterwards--just snot rockets. #3--Depending on how long his gimmick keeps its heat, I might sub Cena in for Guerrero. For the CW Title: Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. Tajiri Seeing as how Vince seems to already have given up on Ultimo, I don't see it. 10-man Smackdown SSeries Elimination match: M.Hardy/TWGTT/Cena/Show vs. Taker//Kidman/Gunn/ Noble/Gowen Kidman SHOULD be a heel by then. I'd move Tajiri out of the Cruiser match and put him here in Kidman's place, ESPECIALLY if Eddie and Cena switch-up spots. There are only 4 mini-cells. #2--I WOULD just straight up call for WarGames, but Vince seems dead set against ever using it, even though it'd be perfect here. #3--Foley, however, is NOT perfect here. I might be in the minority, but I really think he should stay retired. He can be a manager on the outside (maybe with Arn as his heel counterpart?). The only replacement for him that I can come up with is Nash, sadly. Nash wouldn't be too bad in WarGames though. #4--They'd have to get to work on building up Booker for this, pronto. -Kane vs. RVD in a street fight (with RVD finally going over to end this feud) Agreed, but it should be a VERY close win. Like both men are out, and RVD just happened to cover Kane as he fell. Possibly a Last Man Standing match with the HHH vs. Jericho finish? -Dudleys/Goldust/Hurricane/Steiner vs. Test/X-stain/Storm/La Resistance in a 10-man SSeries Elimination bout. I can't see La Res being a big enough force by Survivor Series. I'd replace them with Nowinski and, oh, I don't know, when's Batista due back? Rodney Mack MAY work here. Dupree might still be around, so Grenier might be the only one in need of replacement.
Guest rawmvp Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 The title doesn't necessarily have to be vacant; the champion could just be ordered to defend the title twice if he expects to stay champion. When I said Elimination Chamber I was thinking of the Elimination Chamber's structure save the four chambers. Otherwise, you've got pretty good ideas, too.

RVD should be elimination chamber IF it even happens, because that means theres no escape, and the only way to win is by pin, making it Kanes match comparing it to RVD's spilling everywhere flipping offense on the outside of the ring. Chris Benoit won't be WWE Champ. EVER. No matter how much I like the guy, thats how much Vince doesn't want him as his champion. Wow, the Face side of the RAW Elimination Chamber (Dear god what a stupid idea) looks like shit. HBK has proved he can't really go anymore after watching his recent work, Goldberg sucks, Foley has been retired and more out of shape for nearly 3 years, and Booker T is mediocre at best. And putting RIC FLAIR in that kind of cage to take bumps is just stupid to me. Just have a traditional elimination match, and scrap one of the other two, because I'm not spening $35 to watch heat and velocity jobbers on a PPV. I can udnerstand Gunn & Noble and even Gowen on SD ONLY PPV's, but not on the merged ones where there are only 3 matches available (SSeries usually has a 6 card show on average) Here's a better idea. WWE Signs Sting, has him kill HHH. ... Oh, That's it. LOL
