Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted August 3, 2003 I looked around and didnt see anything about this posted, but the word going around Hollywood is that they're finally going to make an updated movie based on the 1960's spy spoof Get Smart, with Will Ferrel in the lead as secret agent Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 I personally am very excited about this because I was a huge fan of GS as a kid, and I'm anxious to see how well Ferrel can fill Don Adams's shoes Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He played Max's nephew or something that took over being a spy and Max was the chief or something like that. It was on in the early ninties I think, before News Radio I believe. Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted August 3, 2003 Ben Stiller would be awesome as Max Smart. Unfortunately for Ferrel, he seems to play two roles well: 1) Drunk idiot...and...2) Gay fashion guy. And before you jump all over my back, I mean in the movies...I understand he can do a "great" Bush impression, but in the movies, he's only been able to pull off Drunk Idiot (Old School) and Gay fashion guy (Zoolander)..and Zoolander was a stretch. However, I guess this means that a young Max Smart is going to be the lead, though, as opposed to just a new top agent? And Farrell's all wrong for the part, I agree.
