Will video game stores buy used games

Recommended Posts

I got some really crappy games that were bought from Blockbuster and I was wondering if the video game stores would buy those. Hell I'm hoping I get 5 bucks for Madden 2002, State of Emergency, and NBA Live 2002 combined, just to cover the sales tax for Madden 2004.

Does it have the Blockbuster sticker on it? Are the CDs stratched up? If not, you're good to go.

The BB stickers are on it, but not scratched

On the CD or on the case? If it's on the case, peel that bitch off (carefully) and go for it.

I already ripped off the stickers on the case but the stuff is on the CD's too.

Thanks for the help though, sounds like I'll have to auction them off, bidding starts at 25 cents! :D

Dude, where did you pre-order at? Because at Game Crazy we are having a deal now. If you pre-order Madded, you put 5 bucks down...we'll match that when the game comes out. BTW to respond to your topic. Any Game Crazy will take ANY game that you have. Even if it has the sticker on the CD. My store will take the sticker off, resurface the disk, then re-sell it. Game Crazy RULEZ!

Most of the EB Games I've been to have just scanned the barcodes when I sell back games, so they don't even care what the games look like

Why don't you just return it to Blockbuster and get a full refund? If it was a PRP (employee term for Previously Rented Product) then they should have a lifetime guarantee on them, and if you bought them using a membership account as long as you have your ID with you and you're on the account, you don't need a receipt. If you didn't buy it on your account, then don't worry about it.

Of course it would be better if you had the receipt, as all stores' policy may vary depending on the area...

No deal, at EB today, because of the BB stickers on the discs.

Oh well, he did say though that BB is stopping that since it has a better chance to cause scratches.
