Guest Beavis Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Mack is no threat to Angle whatsoever, and by just having the match would hurt both of them. If you are suggesting that Mack be promoted to main event already, or Angle be demoted to opener, then you are that much more off track. Neither man would be hurt. Kurt's character can't really be hurt at this stage. Mack would look like gold. He's ready for the next step after that. Mack is not lucky to be on TV, he's earned that spot. 1) Kurt is STILL very fragile right now, they should stay away from ANYTHING like this with the guy. 2) Mack isn't ready to fight a midcarder, much less a main eventer. 3) Just what has Mack done to deserve anything at all? Mack has showed charisma and a overall take no prisoners attitude that he deserves a higher spot. Angles character cannot be hurt. Maven looked good in his bout with HHH on Heat. Maven is another guy who should get a LARGE push soon.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 This thread is fucking hilarious. Unless "Beavis" is for real. Then it is shocking, scary and wrong.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Mack is not lucky to be on TV, he's earned that spot. How? By almost killing Al Snow in his first match?
Guest Beavis Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 This thread is fucking hilarious. Unless "Beavis" is for real. Then it is shocking, scary and wrong. Is this SOOO ridiculous?? Mack will someday be the future of the company and he has a great look. Angle could put many stars over on RAW to help this out.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Yep. Definately a gimmick poster.
Guest Downhome Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Yep. Definately a gimmick poster. I have an eye for these things.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Mack will someday be the future of the company If the "___________ is the future" statement wasn't so diluted these days I'd laugh.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Mack will someday be the future of the company and he has a great look. What?!? He's supposed to be "challenging Whitey" but he has lighter skin than Bill Goldberg. If Rodney Mack is going to be huge, the Akeem The African Dream really got screwed over, because he had the same gimmick, but cooler music.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Yep. Definately a gimmick poster. ...I don't think so. But I'll just digress that I agree with two other people on here about this "Beavis".
Guest Powerplay Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Mack has showed charisma and a overall take no prisoners attitude that he deserves a higher spot. No, Theodore Long has showed Charisma. The Mack lacks any Charisma at all. He doesn't look good, he doesn't wrestler good, he doesn't speak good. He does nothing good. Attitude means shit if you suck the chrome off doorknobs. The crowd doesn't believe the guy can do anything. Angles character cannot be hurt. Yes it can. It's hard, but it can be done. And having him look bad against The Mack would be certainly do it.
Guest Downhome Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Besides, you almost never know who the "future" of any company is untill it just happens. Who could have predicted that Brock would be where he is two years ago?
Guest Downhome Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Wasn't Akeem white? http://www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/funnyw...tlers/Akeem.htm
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Besides, you almost never know who the "future" of any company is untill it just happens. Who could have predicted that Brock would be where he is two years ago? And all this "he's the FUTURE FUTURE FUTURE blah blah blah" reeks of 2000 WCW desparation.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Wasn't Akeem white? isn't Rodney?
Lil' Bitch Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Besides, you almost never know who the "future" of any company is untill it just happens. As much as I like Chris Jericho, I had no clue that he would one day become the WWE Champion and headline WM. (I took a break from WWE back in 2001. Last episode I saw was when Stone Cold threw Angle's medals into the river and I didn't get back into until the last SD before WM where Jericho did the Walls of Jericho on HHH on top of the announce table.)
Guest TheAnvil Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I liked Kurt Angle the best when he was a crazy face that would "snap" ala Ken Shamrock. It led to his match with Austin @ SummerSlam which I still think was fantastic. Angle should go back to that character. No comedy, no nonsense. He should just be all about proving he is the best.

As far as Jericho goes, I never doubted for a second that he would be world champion and headline major shows. From the moment I saw him in WCW as a heel, I knew he found his niche and that he'd go all the way.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Akeem sounded like a bad mix of Albert (big dancing white guy) and John Cena (guy wanting to be black). EDIT: Angle should go back to that character. No comedy, no nonsense. He should just be all about proving he is the best. The same could be said for Lesnar.

It led to his match with Austin @ SummerSlam which I still think was fantastic. Angle should go back to that character. No comedy, no nonsense. He should just be all about proving he is the best. But Angle didn't fit that character and he didn't look comfortable doing it. It worked so well, that they turned him back heel after two months.
Guest the r-train Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 WAS Mack even an amateur wrestler? I've never heard of that, and we can't have every wretler just claim they were so they can feud with Angle, that would be the worst idea yet.
Guest Beavis Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Angles character is totally bulletproof. You have to create great stars, and they've already done that with Mack. Mack is more over than Christian, RVD and many other mid carders currently being pushed way too fast.
Detective Comics Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Mack is not lucky to be on TV, he's earned that spot. How? By almost killing Al Snow in his first match? I'm not adding to this thread whatsoever (like I eve do, I hardly watch the show anymore, so what can I say?) But I remember seeing that botched move into a neckdrop supreme and thinking to myself "this guy's career is OVER" He's sloppy, he can't carry a match, he is boring, and he shouldn't wrestle Aaron Stevens, nevermind Kurt Angle.

Guest MissMattitude Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 *Is speechless if this is real*
Guest jester Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Christian, RVD and many other mid carders currently being pushed way too fast. <sarcasm>Yeah, I really wish they'd lay off RVD's massive Jesus push. They are really cramming him down our throats.</sarcasm>
Lil' Bitch Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 ^ That could have been perfectly said last year!
Guest whatitistoburn Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 Yeah... ever notice the dead silence in the crowd when "one of a kind" comes on. I mean my god... the "back the mack" chants are just MASSIVE.
Guest Beavis Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 That is my opinion on the subject. I believe Mack is more over than Christian and RVD, who have been pushed down the fans throats to noreaction.
