What if you could trade a past title reign...

I've always wondered how vince fucked up certain characters that were just MEANT to be champs while giving others title reigns that really amounted to nothing.

Jake Roberts vs randy savage '88/'89

fuck it. savage just won the gold at wm so hogan could win it back the following year. jake... he had personality. why didn't vince push him to the moon after the liz attack in '92 is a mistery (except for the drug problems, but as long as your champ draws who gives a fuck if he's a junkie, right?).

curt hennig vs hulk hogan in '93

same as savage. the fact that hogan just broke from the script and told the japanese press the wwf title was shit compared to the iwgp one further deteriorated his last reign before going wcw. curt hennig was just the perfect guy to be champ. good looking, athletic, great workrate and great heel.

ted dibiase vs chris jericho

million dollar champ who draws heat like he was satan or bitch champion to job to hhh at wm?

any suggestions?

...DiBiase and Jericho had a match against each other for a major title?

I've got one. Even though I'm a huge mark for Angle, I'd trade Angle for Rock in 2001. Rock and Austin had HUGE heat for a rematch at Summerslam, and their feud probably would have been enough to bring the industry up out of the toilet for a while. Angle would have been fine feuding with Booker T, and everyone would have been better for it.
