So, what's the best 2/3 falls match?

I went with Steamboat/Flair from the Clash, but I was very close about going with Art Barr/Eddy Guerrero vs Octagon/El Hijo de Santo from WWC. Depending on my mood, I would take the Lucha match over Steamboat/Flair. However, most of the time I'd still go with the Clash match and that's why I gave that match my vote.

I will most defientally have to say other:

Destroyer vs. Mil Mascaras 10/9/73, 7/25/74

-Some incredibly smart wrestilng from the greatest American born wrestler of all time.

Jumbo vs. Funk 6/11/76

-One of the most dramatic and grueling matches of all time. Awesome story telling as Funk has to start taking more and more short cuts to hold off Jumbo.

Jumbo vs. Race 6/11/77

-Not as draining as the prevoius match, but this is still some badass, hardcore(not that type) wrestling.

Yamada/Toyota vs. Kansai/Ozaki 11/26/92, 4/11/93

Despite both matches flaws, 11/92 is arguably the greatest tag match of all time, and 4/93 is excellent as well.

Inoue/Inoue vs. Toyota/Hasegawa 8/30/95

-Doesn't hold up as well as the previous two tag matches, but I don't think you'll find this many credible super hot near falls in any other match.

I had to vote Steamboat/Flair, although I haven't seen 2 others. What about HHH/Austin, 3 stages of hell?

Personally I think Austin/HHH isn a tad over-rated, but it's still great: maybe ***3/4.

Wow, Rey/Juvi got a vote. Definately my favourite ECW match, ****3/4.

Dynamite vs Tiger Mask 2/3 falls

Ozaki/Kansai vs Toyota/Yamada 2/3 falls

Steamboat vs Flair-I've only seen this clipped but it's awesome.

Any of Shocker vs Ultimo Guerrero title matches.

I vote for Flair-Eaton from Clash XV because I am such a clash mark. For mark-out value too, I'd say the Harts-Demolition match was memorable too.

Although best probably is Flair-Steamboat

My favorite match of all time is Flair vs. Steamboat from the Clash. It was the match that really hooked me into wrestling and understand the grand levels it could achieve and I was only 10 at the time. The storytelling, psychology and dynamic is just mind blowing.

Flair also had a two out of three falls match with Bobby Eaton on a later Clash that I feels goes overlooked a lot of the time.

I don't think it was *****. But it was a good match.

I would say it is Flair-Steamboat from the Clash. I haven't seen any of the joshi matches listed or the 70's AJ matches so my opinion could change.

hey i recently watched the best of dynamite kid (rf video) tape and i saw the 2 out of 3 falls match with tiger mask. i want everyone to explain to me in their opinion what makes this match great. also is that a bottle that dynamite grabs in between the falls. maybe the match you all are talking about is not on this tape. any response is welcome. thanx

Flair vs. Steamboat - Clash VI without a doubt.

A good 2/3 falls match that hasn't been mentioned is Benoit vs Jericho - Summerslam 2000.

Well, watch about 3 or 4 matches before 21/4/83 and see how much more crisp the moves were. And, how much stiffer TM was. And, yes, I think that is a bottle.

I quite like Tsuruta vs. Funk, but the best has to be Ozaki/Kansai vs. Toyota/Yamada, AJW Dreamrush.
