Guest Dangerous A Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Unless the Kobe thing is settled before the season begins and he is completely exonarated, I can see a problem for the NBA and it's arena's having to check signs where the Lakers play. NBA fans in general are cool, but there is always a few dickheads in each city and I can see these people coming to the arenas with potentially offensive signs and what not. That could pose a problem being that the Lakers are on TV the most times again this season. What do you think?

I think they will have to pat the fans down for markers and poster boards at the door. Then theres going to be the assholes behind the bench. There are way to many assholes in the world for it to be avoided. Luckly Bill Walton will be there to tell the world why we should hop on his nuts and why the fan is stupid....and why Shaq rules...
Guest NoCalMike Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 It's gonna happen, regardless if the trial is over and Kobe is found innocent. I remember in the NFL when Michael Irvin beat the rap aftter being caught with crack and prostitutes and the Jaguars fans had an entire row of fans dressed in the jailbird stripes. I think security did something about it, but not sure what.
Bored Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Actually the NBA already has a policy of confiscating all negative signs. A few years ago I went to the first game Latrell Sprewell had against the Warriors in Oakland since he choked P.J. and they confiscated every sign there.
Guest ErekT2k Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Something tells me Sacramento, Boston, and Philly fans are gonna have a way to get through the security with signs.
Guest thetrendsetter Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 remember what happened with the Paul Pierce Stabbing incident... and he was the FUCKING victim
Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Something tells me Sacramento, Boston, and Philly fans are gonna have a way to get through the security with signs. Dunno about the signs, but Kobe's definitely going to want to borrow Jason Kidd's earplugs!
Guest Ripper Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I wish players would go Vernon Maxwell on thier asses more often. That would slow that shit talk down.
Gert T Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I wish players would go Vernon Maxwell on thier asses more often. That would slow that shit talk down. I dobut it because most fans would take a punch or two for a six figure settlement and knowing the guy will get about 10 games. I'm not too worried though, I don't think too many signs will surface, and the NBA certainly has every right to confiscate them.
Bored Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Signs won't be the problem...it'll be the first time he goes to the free throw line on the road and someone yells out "rapist".
Guest HHH's 'Roid Needle Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 If the Lakers ever come my way, I'll be wearing my brand new, custom made #8 Laker jersey from Eastbay.com. I doubt they'll confiscate, because it'll be worse with my shirt off.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 That's the greatest jersey I have ever seen! At the risk of getting my ass kicked, I can't wait to call him a rapist and a pedophile when the Clippers have a home game against that rapist motherfucker...allegedly.

Your use of the word Allegedly gets a laugh out of me everytime.
Guest Ripper Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Off topic, but Kobe's middle name is fucking "Bean". What kind of cruel joke was that shit. Joe Bryant should be ashamed of himself.
Guest ErekT2k Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 PR, I dunno how your plan is gonna pan out. I mean, usually at Clipper home games against Lakers, more people cheer for the Lakers than the Clips. So uh, I guess some people are gonna be after you. Good luck with that.
