Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted August 6, 2003 All Right....Edward Norton. People have gone to call him the "Next DeNiro"... If that is the case...Who is the next Pacino? James Franco. Well, not really. I only said that because i'm watching Deuces Wild (Which I thought was really good, fuck the rest of you).
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Worm: I guess the sayings' true. In the poker game of life, women are the rake man. They are the fuckin' rake. Mike McDermott: What the fuck are you talkin' about. What saying? Worm: I don't know. There ought to be one though.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted August 6, 2003 All Right....Edward Norton. People have gone to call him the "Next DeNiro"... If that is the case...Who is the next Pacino? i'd say julianne moore is the next de niro, cause NOBODY comes close to her in terms of sincerity, sharpness and range. if there's a next al pacino, it might be tim roth. he's got that same quiet intensity that early pacino had. Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 6, 2003 affleck's part in 'boiler room' kicked seven different kinds of ass. Exactly...I wished they expanded his role since he was on screen for like 4 minutes combined. I also Loved Vin Diesel in that movie. Giovanni Ribsi was also gold in that movie. God...Boiler Room was so fucking over looked... giovanni ribisi just kinda pissed away his career, didn't he. he was great in 'suburbia', had a nice little part in 'lost highway', did 'boiler room', then he did 'the mod squad' and 'the other sister'. what a dumb fuck. dont forget...GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS where he played Cage's wimpy brother

Then again he is also about to star in a Movie with the Mighty Duck Fuck himself...Joshua Jackson... but he redeems himself for staring in a movie with Kidman, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Jude Law...which should be a Critic darling. She's plays the lead character in Braceface, she is one of the producers, and I believe has some other title attached to herself in that.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Boiler Room came off as a cheap imitation of Rounders (still good though).
Guest godthedog Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Boiler Room came off as a cheap imitation of Rounders (still good though). weird...it came off to me as a cheap imitation of 'glengarry glen ross' and 'wall street'. especially affleck's part, which might as well have been lifted verbatim from the former. Considering that they had an entire scene DEDICATED to Wall Street...Yeah... I thought it was intentional to appear to be a Wall Street Imitation.

Guest Showstoppa Icon Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Brodie: Cookie stand's not part of the food court. T.S. Quint: Sure it is. Brodie: The food court is downstairs the cookie stand is upstairs it's not like we're talking quantum physics here! T.S. Quint: The cookie stand is an eatery, an eatery is part of the food court. Brodie: Bullshit! Eateries that operate within the designated square downstairs qualify as food court, anything operating outside the said designated square is considered an autonomous unit for mid-mall snacking.
