Only The Strong Survive 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2003 MOTÖRHEAD Record New Wrestling Theme - Aug. 6, 2003 MOTÖRHEAD recently spent studio time in Germany and Los Angeles recording a theme song for EVOLUTION, the new wrestling team led by WWE superstar Triple H, according to the band's web site. "Triple H has aligned himself with 'the dirtiest players in the game,' Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista . . . in an effort to solidify his new 'evil' character profile," reads a post on the site. The track has already been receiving airplay via the weekly program "Raw" on the TNN network and is tentatively slated to be released later in the year. More information will be made available soon. taken from BLABBERMOUTH.NET Not that the song is bad or anything but... They're actually going to release it has a single? Oh, that's funny... Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 6, 2003 when was the last Time Motorhead released a Single? Hell...When was the last time Motorhead cared enough to use radio? What the fuck has Triple H done to convince Lemmy to do this? It's a good song...but I dunno if it's cut for radio... Hell maybe it's just me but isn't that about one of softest Motorhead songs ever? "The Game" would have been a good radio hit I think
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted August 6, 2003 What the fuck has Triple H done to convince Lemmy to do this? How do you think Trips got that groin injury?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Seriously though... I know the Bass player (i think) is a HUGE wwe fan but you'd think Lemmy would go "Ummm...Can we stop doing the wrestling deal"... It's not like he wants cross promotion ya know... Which is why Lemmy isn't all that great of a business man... Does he even get royalties because WWE has no problem using that song all the time but would use other songs by major bands for a short amount of time... The Game has been around since Early 2002... < Pissed they didn't keep Saliva's King of My World...which was Saliva's only ACTUAL good song and really could have been a radio hit once they took out the "JERICHO! JERICHO! ARGGGH! JERICHO UH" part...
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted August 6, 2003 "the Game" would have been good on radio. I'm not so sure about this song, although it's starting to grow on me.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Just Imagine a 30 year old Non-WrestlING fan turning past the channels and stumbles upon the opening notes of "The Game" "DUNNNN HE HE HE AH HA It's time to play the game... TIME TO PLAY THE GAME! hahaha It's all about the game and how you play it. All about control and if you can take it. All about your debt and if you can pay it. It's all about pain and who's gonna make it. " Tell me that wouldn't make that 30+ old man go "WHAT THE FUCK?"

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted August 6, 2003 I know the Bass player (i think) is a HUGE wwe fan but you'd think Lemmy would go "Ummm...Can we stop doing the wrestling deal"... Actually, guitarist Phil Campbell (LEMMY plays bass, bitch, and you should've known that) is a huge HHH fan, and got Lemmy into wrestling and HHH. He showed Lemmy one of HHH's entrances when he still used "My Time," and Lemmy was like "damn, mates, this might be cool." There's a small interview with Lemmy in that "The Game" edition of WWF Magazine back when HHH was rehabbing and ready to return. Does he even get royalties because WWE has no problem using that song all the time but would use other songs by major bands for a short amount of time... I'd imagine so, since "The Game" is also on Hammered. Johnston wrote the song, but Motörhead performed it, so I'd imagine they'd get royalties. < Pissed they didn't keep Saliva's King of My World...which was Saliva's only ACTUAL good song and really could have been a radio hit once they took out the "JERICHO! JERICHO! ARGGGH! JERICHO UH" part... Agreed. Too bad nobody cares about Saliva anymore. They were a fun nu-metal band that showed A LOT of growth in just one album. Sue me...I knew it was one of them people. 2. Makes sense...Just wasn't sure because Vince usually doesn't keep "Real Music" around very long but since WWE produced it...I just they might still own the rights and actually let MH use the track... 3. Maybe. I might see Saliva with Kiss and Aerosmith...Saliva reminds me of those 80's glam bands...Horrible but fun for concerts.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Tell me that wouldn't make that 30+ old man go "WHAT THE FUCK?" You're assuming they could tell what the hell Lemmy is saying.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted August 6, 2003 I'ts not hard to understand what Lemmy's saying, you know. Just LISTEN...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Well...It took me a good amount of time to understand it...but Ya know...That's to be expected... and lemmy doesn't have a smooth clear voice ya know...

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 6, 2003 Am I the only one who thinks they really fucked up a good song by adding lyrics. The fact that "Evolution" is the only word I can make out just makes it all worse.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted August 6, 2003 It sounds like he says "Evolution is a listerine" for the first line. HHH also did guest vocals on one of the funniest Motorhead tracks of all time, Serial Killer. I laugh everytime I hear it.
