Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Lots of stuff I'm going to put up. Got it late so this last weeks: - (Quoted from the Cover Story) "When Hall decided to drink beers in the hotel bar the night before WrestleMania, Hall showed that he wasn't taking his redemption seriously." - (Newswire) Cable industry analysts predict Wrestlemania to be between 1.3 and 1.4 million buys, shattering last year (about 1 million). - WWF officials used the Crown Plaza hotel as headquarters during their stay, planning out everything from limo rides to booking rooms for wrestlers and their families. A convention room was set up with a big screen TV for families who choose not to attend. - Scott Hall will work close to double the number of dates contractually agreed to, but he wont complain according to friends. - Six additional wrestlers from each territory will be called up in addition to Orton, Lesnar, and Constantino. Knoble is the concensus favorite backstage. - Tazz was disappointed about not being picked on TV. - Nash is justifying his possible postition of making booking decisions by saying that his silence has made the angle suffer. Nash is cying conspiracy among those who were against his arrival. Threatened to leave, with him will go Hall and Hogan. - Idea with the Dudleys is to test them as singles, because they've done everything as a team. Reuniting them is not out of the question. - They didn't want X-Pac to interfere in the RAW tag because they felt it would be too much for one show. - X-Pac was brought on for many reasons; he's a stronger worker and can carry them in that sense, he has history, and he can work house shows while the other two rotate through. - HHH said he wouldn't have minded had his match not been the main event, but said that it was more traditional (and respectful) to put the title match as the headliner. - Patterson booked the Nogan-Rock content, Undertaker booked the build-up to WrestleMania with Flair. - Austin was unreceptive to any of Hall's ideas for their match, including a slow build rather than straight brawling. - Austin's ex-wife is moving to England with his kids. - Rock is being scouted for the lead role in "Helldorado". - Nash tried switching to the jeans because he felt his ring attire was to identical to others, namely Test. Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I hope they fire Nash. All he does is whine. He sucks in the ring, he hasn't increased ratings, and he is lowering backstage morale.
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Austin's ex-wife is moving to England with his kids. Huh. Maybe that was what finally pushed him over the edge, because I never would have thought him to no-show for his own reasons.
Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Don't make Excuses for Austin.
Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I am not making excuses for him. I am completely opposed to his behavior as of late, but he must be feeling awful right now. Having your children taken away from you to a foreign country isn't exactly a pleasant thing, and that coupled with his stress at work could have motivated his actions. Motivated, not excused. Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Well, the guy gets shunted down the card after a year of carrying the company, going through with a heel turn he was against, letting in OLD stars who already left one company in shambles, being asked to job at the biggest show of the year (and advance an angle at his expense), losing his kids, and finding out the person he was expected to job to was drinking the night before the show. I can see both sides of the coin in his case.

Didn't Austin have sole custody of his kids after his divorce? I recall reading that he got full custody after the divorce...
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I think Nash's bitching is justified. Hogan and Hall were all brought into the WWF and thrown into feuds with the WWF's biggest names. Nash, who came in at the same time has had to watch as his nWo teammates get put into high profile fueds, and he has to play second banana and wrestle in the occasional six man tag match. I would be angry too if I was Nash and was getting ignored.
Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Yeah. I would be getting so angry that I was getting paid $700,000 a year plus royalties to work 12 dates a month, most of which he just sits at ringside or is in a backstage skit.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2002 That makes it even more frustrating on the man Judas.

Do you think that could be the problem? Perhaps after sitting at home and getting paid for not wrestling for a year, he actually wants to be involved and not look like someone that the WWF is paying for no good reason. Guest Singular Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Nash isn't in a high profile feud because he can't wrestle. There is nobdoy in the WWF (or any other promotion in the world) that could carry Big Lazy to a good match right now. Mabey 3 or 4 years ago, he could still work for at least 10 minutes without getting winded, but now he's just horrible. Watch him take chair shots from Hogan, or try to lift his fuckin leg up to give the big boot. It's terrible. Next time he's in a tag match time how long he is actually in the ring wrestling, not stalling, but wrestling. Nash did get a one on one match with Rock a few weeks ago, remember. Wonder why he's not getting anymore one on one matches? I don't.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 2, 2002 God, I hate Nash. I hope he *does* go and take Hall and Hogan with him. That really isn't as much of a threat as he thinks it is. On the plus side, Jamie Knoble being called up would be excellent.
Guest thebear Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Yeah Eskimo... you know how Knoble will spike those ratings... If the WWF can get nash to go to OVW or HWA for a show once a week, his wrestling will improve, remember, since Janurary 2001, he's wrestled only 7 or 8 times... Guest buffybeast Report post Posted April 2, 2002 "Didn't Austin have sole custody of his kids after his divorce? I recall reading that he got full custody after the divorce..." No, that was Scott Hall who got sole physical custody of the kids. Austin has (or had) joint custody. And his ex-wife Jeanie has already relocated to London with the kids. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Fuck the ratings. Worry about the wrestling.
