Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 2, 2002 1st: NEVER say "Player hating" 2nd: It's "FUCKING." 3rd: No one said anything NEGATIVE about his sexuality, they just stated what it was.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 2, 2002 He was dressed in Lita's clothes for Christ's sake, cross dressing is usually an indication of some sort of sexual devience. If he is gay, which seems likely, that's fine but there is a reason that people read into stereotypes, it's because most are at least loosly based in truth. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Really, that had to be embarassing for the Gay community (From what I heard) Lita's clothing?
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I think it was the sky blue pants, the tight fishnet, and the pig tails...that's Lita's outfit sometimes.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 2, 2002 He was wearing one of Lita's lace half shirts adn her blue pants and I think he had her thong on his face during the entrance again, but the lights were down. Actually for a second when they came out I wasn't sure if it was Jeff or Lita who was with Matt.

This is me not coming near that remark with a 10-foot pole... Okay, this is me coming near that remark with a 10-foot pole... While cross-dressing may be seen as deviant behaviour in today's society (traditional/conformist/conservative), I defy you to find me one shred of evidence that states that what you said is fact. Ric Flair dressed as a woman. Is he gay? Brian Pillman dressed as a woman. Was he gay? Saturn dressed as a woman. Is he gay? Goldust dressed as a... uh, forget that... Sure most of the instances I gave were angle-driven, but you can't base who someone has a hard-on for just by what they're wearing. Shit, guys with earrings used to get the piss taken out of them, and now? I defy you to walk down the street and not notice a guy with something pierced. The point I'm trying to make is that when you throw comments like that without really thinking about what you're saying or without being able to back it up, you could end up looking either really foolish, or open yourself up to a lot of harsh criticism and/or violent repercussions. Just be careful and pick your words carefully. I'd hate to find out you were on the receiving end of a beating because you said something that you couldn't back up. $0.02 On topic, I don't think Jeff's necessarily gay. It's probably his way of standing out from the roster. And the fangirls don't seem to mind. Eh, as long as he keeps taking those Lesnar beatings with aplomb, he could come out as the Gobbledygooker for all I care.

Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 2, 2002 NotJames have you ever been to a show and seen the girls who cheer for Jeff? They're ussually even too young for Jerry Lawler and fat. Besides Jeff isn't even over to any great degree anymore anyway. Devient behavior=behavior that is not the norm in current society. Saying something as unoffensive as that may get me beat up by ingorant, violent people who aren't willing to accept someone's opinion if it doesn't agree with theirs. As a matter of fact it isn't even an opinion it is true, cross dressing is not a norm in society so there for it is devient behavior. And since the behavior is sexually oriented it is an indication of sexual deviance. So if the truth is going to get me beat up then I don't like where this society is going. Guest notJames Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Get a tattoo! Don't wear women's clothing! Um... I think 95% of the roster has tattoos. He may as well wear black trunks and black boots. And really AS, I know you probably don't mean to come off as a homophobe, but I got a chuckle just picturing you standing with your fists at your sides, wagging your finger and saying "Don't wear women's clothing" like some kind of deranged Martha Stewart on a "Cross-dressing is whacko if you're a teen" ads. Dude, it's 2002. Don't tell me you're still afraid of the cooties?

Not wishing any violence your way, My whole argument was that you said that cross-dressing was not just deviant (which I already explained was accurate given society's norms), but "sexually deviant" behaviour. Find me one shred of evidence (scientific, medical, etc) that proves "cross-dressing=sexual deviance" and I will turn off my computer and accept your answer with the aplomb of day-glo Jeff Hardy taking a triple-bomb from the Brockinator. But I gotta warn you... the research may make you sink lower than Angle on his way to Jakked. Anyway, I didn't wanna argue about this. For all we know, Vince is making Jeff dress this way in the same deranged way that he used to have a hillbilly fetish. I just want you to be aware that blanket statements are the worst way to prove a point.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I'm all for individual expression and trying not to stereotype. Guest Some Guy Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Not James clear this up for me please. I've heard the term "Homophobe" and "homophobic" thrown around a lot in the last few years and I'd like an explanation of how the PC Police define it. Homophobe seems to imply a fear of homosexuals or of homosexuality, now after re=reading all of the posts I haven't exactly sensed any paranoia in them, so did you use the term in the proper context or if so shouldn't it be changed to something more accurate? Find me one shred of evidence (scientific, medical, etc) that proves "cross-dressing=sexual deviance" Cross dressing is the act of a person from one gender or sex wearing the clothing of the opposite gender or sex. There is the connection, a man dressing as a women has a sexual component whether you want to admit it or not. There is no "scientific evidence" of this, nor is there any scientific evidence to explain why some people are gay. Do you deny the exsistance of gay people because of the lack of scientific evidence? Use common sense and tyr to look at things objectivlely about the situation. I don't really want to discuss this topic in the WWF folder either as it is way off topic and oftem leads to flaming (no pun intended ). I am not flaming you here, rather giving the truth as I and most people see it.

Fear of or contempt for lesbians and gay men. 2. Behavior based on such a feeling. Touche. Perhaps there is no PC term for stereotyping homosexuals, and there probably shouldn't be. I retract the use of homophobe/homophobia in my earlier statements. Be that as it may, I don't want to use the term "bigot"... big·ot Pronunciation Key (bgt) n. One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ. ... because that implies feelings of violence, and there's probably none of that going on here. But there is a sense of irresponsibility and moral danger in herding people into pre-defined groups based on outward appearances. A quick glance in your history books will no doubt prove that. Look, forget I started this session of Ethics 101. Let's just say Jeff's dressing like a girl and call it a night. No need to lynch the poor bastard 'cuz he forgot his gear at the hotel and had to borrow Lita's. (Although I am kinda curious if he's still wearing that Vader-esque face thong. Gay or straight, that thing was just ugly.)
Guest scratch Report post Posted April 2, 2002 To the people who think Jeff Hardy is gay because of the threads he wears -- FUCK ALL OF YOU. I have friends, myself included who wear shit like that. Not to that extreme, but it's expressing our individuality, who we are. Under no terms does it constitute our state of sexuality. I'm perfectly straight, and I am 100% in love with my girlfriend. So fuck all you haters. I'm so sick of all of you. And for the guy who said the Hardyz aren't over anymore, go to a live event, and see how loud their pops are. They come 2nd or 3rd to HHH or Rock. --Scratch
