Guest KJ Brackish Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Well, I decided to start a diary that will be updated every once in a while. I'm very busy but I'll do it when I can....so lets start! I am going to critique alot of the matches myself along with The Dames' rating so you can see, he is in fact, *sometimes* a fair player. I tried to book matches to the best of my abilities and I hope you enjoy what has happened. WWE Background: Summerslam on to September 15th 2003 - Alot has happened in the WWE after Summerslam. HHH unfortunately retained his title in the Elimination Chamber which in turn, caused a massive riot in the streets of Phoenix, Arizona. The following are some milestones in between Summerslam, and the present in-game-time. - NWA: Wildside decides to compete with the WWE for Monday Night ratings but is getting squashed so far, but you never know what could happen. - Sting was signed for an open contract by the WWE until they can FULLY iron out all the details of a written contract. He is signed at $62,000 per appearence which is pretty high in my opinion. - Goldberg continued to have problems backstage with the talent and the staff until eventually, a group of wrestling (::cough:: HHH ::cough: decided to petition to have him released, and fortunately for us, he was released from his contract with the WWE and surprisingly, has yet to be picked up by another federation. The following titles changed hands: WWE Intercontinental Championship - A few weeks after Summerslam, Maven got a shot at the Intercontinental Champion, Christian, in which Maven overcame all odds and captured the Intercontinental title. World Tag Team Championship - The first night after Summerslam, RVD teamed up with The Hurricane against The Dudley Boyz. The match seemed one sided until the very end... The Hurricane was looking to be out cold and the Dudley's called for their infamous 3-D, when RVD distracts the referee and out of nowhere, Rosie comes to the ring as The Hurricane's Super Side Kick and takes out both Dudley boys. Rosie promptly leaves and Hurricane tags in RVD and he lays each Dudley out. Both RVD and The Hurricane climb opposite turnbuckles and each execute picture perfect 5 * Frog Splashes, thus letting them capture the World Tag Team Titles. We finally get to today - September 15th 2003 - Monday..... it starts.....
Guest KJ Brackish Report post Posted August 20, 2003 09/15/03 - Monday WWE Monday Night RAW The show starts off with a bang as "The King" and Jim Ross welcome us to Raw, we find out that tonight HHH will be taking on none other than THE ROCK! But first..... ---------------------------- Triple Threat Elimination Match for the Intercontinental Championship A.J. Styles v.s. Lance Storm v.s. Maven The Match: A solid opening match with very few near-falls but alot of action for a squash match. Maven is showing just why he deserves to be the Intercontinental champion. All the individuals involved in this match put on an awesome performance as some of the stats show. The match finally ends when Maven executes a picture perfect Torpedo Dropkick from the top rope on A.J. Styles. Just as that happens, someone jumps out from the crowd and is easily recognized as Mark Jindrack, he goes to hit Maven with, what seems to be, brass knucks, but Maven ducks revealing Lance Storm standing behind him, whom gets knocked out cold. The referee somehow missed everything while checking on A.J. Maven quickly pins Lance to retain his prestigious title. Overall - 73% Crowd - 72% Quality - 74% Match Ratings: The Dames: ** w/a Slice Of Bland (OMG WTF?!?) K.J.: *** average match, but a good opener. Very solid top to bottom. --------------------------- As we go to commercial Jerry Lawler announces that after the break, we will have the Highlight Reel with two special guests.... ---------------------------- Highlight Reel w/ Chris Jericho The Segment: Chris Jericho announces his first guest (whom is on every week in real time.) "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Michaels struts his way to the ring and is greeted by arch nemesis, Jericho. Jericho states that he has a special guest just for him, a man he hates even more than Jericho..... Randy Orton. Randy runs down to the ring and is greeting by stiff right hands by Michaels... the two have a scuffle which is eventually broken up by officials. No highlight reel for tonight, but alot of action! Segment Rating: - 90% ---------------------------- J.R. and "The King" are talking about what transpired and the history between Michaels and Orton while the ring is cleared of the Highlight Reel gear, when finished Christian's music hits the arena. ------------------------------ Christian's Challange Segment: Christian comes down to the ring and talks to all of his peeps about how he is the best. I personally do not care for Christian, but his acting performance in this segment is doing very well. The crowd is giving good heat to Christian as he announces a challange to anyone in the back, that thinks they can take on a man with millions of peeps....Just then..... "SCREEEEETCH" familiar music hits and "The Bad Guy" himself steps onto the stage. The WWE has re-aquired Razor Ramon. He is complete in his old school gimmick. He is still don'ing his trademark toothpick and all. He looks on and gets ready to run down for his match.... Segment Overall: - 89% but I would give it a 92% -------------------------------- Singles Match Christian v.s. Razor Ramon The Match: This match for some reason seems like a upper-midcard matchup. Both Christian and Razor Ramon put on a heck of a performance. Christian did good at putting over Ramon due to his debut. Let me just get down to the finishing spot..... looking like it was all over, Razor dragged Christian to the middle of the ring and signaled for the Razor's Edge. As he got him set up, the referee looked on nearby... close enough that Christian could leg sweep him and quickly low blow Razor. From that point he quickly grabs Razor and does an Unprettier. He goes for the pin and puts his legs on the ropes for more leverage and a guarenteed win without the referee seeing. Christian quickly leaps up and beeline's for the locker room leaving Razor Ramon wondering what happened to his guarenteed win. Overall - 73% Crowd - 77% Quality - 64% Match Ratings: The Dames: * 1/4 - He obviously enjoyed the match enough to critique it good. K.J.: *** 1/2 I had to disagree with Dames here. I enjoyed the spots and the near falls through the match. ------------------------------ Commercial Break.... When we come back... Evolution's music hits and they storm the ring. ------------------------------ Evolution Mic Time The Segment: Blah biddy blah blah. Triple H wasted a good 15 minutes of my life that could have been used for better purposes. I think the only thing that saved this segment was the comidic moments by Ric Flair and Randy Orton as they verbally abuse Jericho. HHH is not liking where Jericho stands in the WWE. I think he feels him as a threat, so therefore a feud begins.... Segment Rating: Overall - 82%, but I would have given it 62% if I had the chance. ------------------------------ After Evolution ends their HOOHAH! We hear that we're getting ready for RVD & Hurricane v.s. Booker T & Goldust for the Tag Team Championships. ------------------------------ Tag Team Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Titles RVD & The Hurricane v.s. Booker T & Goldust The Match: I thought that this match was close to being a "Match-of-the-Year" cantadate. I know it may sound crazy but tonight all of our wrestlers are giving it all they got. RVD looks to have laid off the cannabis for this match as he seemed to be on his game. The final spot went as follows; Booker T and Goldust have been trying with alot of nearfalls to no avail. Hurricane sees an open spot and destroys Booker T with "The EYE of the Hurricane." Both crawl to their respective corners and make the tags in. RVD gets on top of things and executes a Rolling Thunder. He signals to go Froggy, but is stopped short by the Hurricane when he accidently gets hit into the ropes, giving Goldust a chance to hit a top rope Curtain Call. Meanwhile Booker T demolishes Hurricane with a Scissors Kick. Both Booker and Goldust climb the ladder to victory grabbing the belts. Match Ratings: Overall: 89% Crowd: 90% Quality: 98% Our Critiques: Teh Dames: *** 3/4 - He looks to have enjoyed the match, which is a surprise considering he usually only gives these matches to half-naked diva's :-D Teh K.J.: **** - Close to being match of the year, but not quite. If only all matches could be like this! --------------------- We cut to a live feed backstage showing the following" ------------------------ Segment - Evolution Assaults The Segment/Video: As HHH is shown walking toward the entrance ramp, we cut to the far end of the arena where Jericho is assaulted by Randy Orton and Ric Flair. Whoda thunk it?!? A young man and a old fogie assault a middle aged man. 3 generations of destruction shown. :-D. Its quickly broken up by officials before Jericho got hurt. Segment Rating: Overall - 85% -------------------------- We go to commercial and when we come back HHH is already in the ring and we're waiting for his opponent... ----------------------------- MAIN EVENT - Singles Title Match for the World Heavyweight Title Triple H v.s. The Rock w/ Special Guest Referee - GM Stone Cold The Match: Both men are doing a little sluggish tonight, but what can you expect from millionaire's/billionaire's. Stone Cold made himself the referee during the break. Lets get right to the finish. Stone Cold is calling it down the line the whole way. Typical finish with HHH executing the Pedigree on a fallen Rock. He won cleanly and of course didn't put The Rock over. After the match, Randy Orton hits the ring and attacks The Rock while HHH attacks SCSA which brings us to...... Match Ratings: Overall - 86% Crowd - 91% Quality - 77% Our Critiques: Teh Dames: ** 3/4 - I agree with his rating....just a typical match only with SCSA calling the pins. Teh K.J.: *** - Regular Match....very average. ------------------------- As the beatdown continues Jericho's music hits and he gets on the stage with mic in hand and..... -------------------------- Jericho Challanges The Segment: Jericho issues a challange to HHH for next week for the World Heavyweight Title. HHH accepts the match as the show goes off the air. Segment Rating: Overall: 89% ====================== SHOW OVERALL - 84%! ======================
Guest KJ Brackish Report post Posted August 20, 2003 POST RAW HAPPENINGS: RVD suffers a broken leg and will be out of action for 7 months. Sting wants to work with Chuck Palumbo (I think he just wants 1 $63,000 paycheck!) Raw got a 5.98 rating (is that good?) 7,520 people attended $300,800 in ticket sales! Overall - a good show! I hope you enjoyed it. Any feedback would be appreciated much. I'm extremely tired and that's why I got skimpy with the details toward the end (when they mean it the most too!) DFA! aka. K.J.
