Bah, Smackdown pre-empted in Detroit

Recommended Posts

Jessum crow, the damn show was here this week and I get boned out of it over Tiger's Baseball. I hate Raw these days and now gotta catch Smackdown later on Saturdays or Sundays, which I might not be able to.

Noooooooo.

The Detroit SD! isn't going to be shown?

I just wanted to see Cena's freestyle!

They usually air it on sunday at 12, but I work then.

So that sucks.

Yeah, but the Tigers are going to make history this season, even if it's for losing the most games...it's at least memorable.

Although this year has been better then before. These are the only 2 Tiger games that mess with Smackdown this season...although it's going to get worse when the Pistons and Red Wings start up

Well, when Observer reported this last week thanks to some guy who always sends dumb little notes in, it said SmackDown would be on Saturday at 8pm this week and Sunday at noon next week.

At the tapings last night, they asked us to tune in this Thursday, which will probably confuse people who don't know.

Ah...The joys of Cincy having the Reds on FOXSPORTS. Never to interfere with Smackdown...just TBDTSP. I can live with that just fine

The Red Wings aren't on Channel 50 anymore. Don't know about the Pistons.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Wings games are still going to be played on UPN this year. I think it's the year after that when they show all of their games on FSN.

And god this blows...does anybody care about the Tigers?

No, all their games this year will be on FSD, ESPN or ABC. They talked about it after the last game of the playoffs. Toby Cunningham, who has produced sports on WKBD forever had a farewell and said they were going to have a video package, but the season ended before they had a chance to produce it.

Cubs and Braves are both nationally televised

Actually, the Braves are the only nationally televised team, being that they are owned by AOL Time-Warner (who controls programming on TBS, among others).

The Cubs have a network deal with WGN, which is only aired regionally.
