Guest Daredevil21 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I'm still working on my little WWF book project and one of the major events that I wanna cover is the steroid trial but I only know the basics of it. Could someone who knows several actual FACTS help me out here? Thanks
Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Nailz was the only Wrestler that testified against Vince, and was fired. And as in Wrestling Hogan saves the day, he saved Vince's ass with his testimony.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Facts: Hogan and Nailz definately testified. IIRC, Tom Zenk, Tully Blanchard, Warrior, and several others also testified. Honkytonk Man was deposed but didn't testify because he dodged the subpoena by hiding out in Canada. George Zahorian was the doctor at the arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and he sold a 'roids and other drugs to the wrestlers. When he was busted by the feds, he turned over and talked about how McMahon and other people in the WWF were buying steroids. The actual charges against Vince were for steroid possession and possession with intent to distribute. The main witnesses were supposed to be Nailz and Vince's secretary, but Nailz hurt the prosecution's case because he admitted under oath that hated Vince with a passion and the secretary's entire story was known by McMahon's attorneys because she was deposed by someone claiming to be a producer for A Current Affair, which happened to be the spouse of McMahon's lead attorney IIRC. There are some articles online that cover this in full detail, so recommend searching for them.
