Guest bdolo Report post Posted April 2, 2002 If you could pick one wrestler to come back to or debut in wwf who would it be would it be one of the following Bret Hart: If he is healthy he is a awesome wreslter Goldberg: I think he could improve ratings if he was booked right, but of course this is wwf and vince would proably have him jobbing to hardcore holly in about one month just to feed is ego. Jeff Jarrett: He was about 10 times more over when he was in wcw and changed his gimmick somewhat, and I believe he could get over if continued to be as he was in wcw. Scott steiner: A lot of smarks hate this guy,but he can be a good heel and he can have good matches with other wrestlers that are at his level or better, don't expect him to carry anyone. Shane Douglas: I would have to say this would be a risk since his last days in wcw he was not over and had become ineffective in the ring. Dean Malenko: I know he still in wwf, but goddamit they gave up to early on this guy, he is a great wrestler and would be good if he was in a tag team with a wrestler that had good mic skills. Shawn Micheals: If he was even 50% of what he once was that is still better than 90% of the wwf roster now. Well that is just a few examples and I am sure I am forgetting some wrestlers. Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I don't really want to see any of those guys right now. I'd like to see AJ Styles or American Dragon to prove Vince is serious about a cruiserweight division. Which is doubtful I know.
Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 In the following order... Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, Shawn Michaels, and Goldberg. Nobody else you mentioned I was particularly interested in. Malenko retired himself, and is happy with being a road agent. Douglas I'm not particularly excited by, and Hart is 1. getting on in years (for christ's sake he's older than the Undertaker...for all the flak Hogan receives about being old, well Hart began wrestling close to when Hogan did..) I'm looking at not only what's best for the WWF in terms of ratings, but also in terms of in-ring ability. Steiner is an awesome power wrestler, Jarrett can work a good match here and there and really did quite good as a main eventer in WCW (Jarrett vs. Jericho could be a good feud) Goldberg would obviously draw, as would Michaels. Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 Goldberg would also kill half the roster.
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted April 2, 2002 If Shawn Michaels came back to the WWF, the Clique would be in Full Force. I think the WWF can do without him. I, for one, would definitely sign Bret Hart to a one year contract. That's it. Just for one huge feud. I'd book him in a shoot-style feud with Vince, and have Bret and Vince wrestle one last match, on a Survivor Series. As soon as Bret would get the Sharpshooter on Vince, I would have the ref throw the fight. Just for Bret to get some payback against Vince.....
Guest Report post Posted April 2, 2002 CM Punk fo sho.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted April 2, 2002 None of the above. I'd like to see Sting make an appearance though. I think he still has something left to give the business, its just too bad he doesn't agree with the business anymore.
Guest notJames Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I'd pick Owen Hart only because I wish he wasn't dead. And can you imagine the matches he could have had with Benoit and Angle? Damn.
Guest Special K Report post Posted April 2, 2002 I'm a mark for mutoh, plus he is revitalized in the ring, and can work an American style. I think he's viable because he has natural charisma, and it would be nice if he had a farewell to US fans besides hanging around with Vampiro and ICP. Other than that, a healthy Bret, Owen or Shawn would be really nice in fantasy land. So would Dynamite Kid when we're talking about things we'll never see. Out of people who they're interested in and may actually come back? I say Steiner. He's average in the ring, and needs a new finisher, but i love his roid rage promos. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 3, 2002 I pick Jeff Jarrett. He proved in WCW that he can be a more than credible main eventer and world champion and it was not a good idea for the WWF to ignore his ability and not sign him due to arguments from the past. Honorable mention to Tony Mamaluke, pound for pound the toughest man in the wrestling business.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Scott Steiner so he can be tag partner for Brock, plus Scott is a quality heel Jeff Jarret for Raw, somebody has to work with XPac besides Kane AJ Style, American Dragon, Kid Kash, Tony Mamaluke would be nice additions to the Heat or Metal roosters. WWF needs more Aerial High Flyers to complete the CW Division. Dean Malenko can help push the CW Division but his lack of mic skills might hurt him more. Guest ShamRock Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Ken Shamrock - He can start a feud with Kurt Angle and battle over the right to use the Ankle Lock. Goldberg - I've been a Goldberg mark since I saw him wrestle his first match, but I'm not anymore because you smarks have manipulated me,dammit!Smell the ratings!! Sting - Start a feud with Rock or Triple H.Imagine the workrate! Others include Randy Savage,Jeff Jarrett,Eric Bischoff, and Bret Hart.
Guest Report post Posted April 3, 2002 I would no doubt love to see Bret Hart end his career on a good note in the WWF. But, as fate has it, that big Green idiot killed off Bret's in ring career so Bret couldn't wrestle w/out risk of more injuries. btw, I wish death on any promoter that does bring Goldberg back. So, if I had to pick a "wrestler" that could still go I would re-hire Jerry Lynn. But, only if they are serious about pushing a Cruiser weight devision. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted April 3, 2002 I'd want Toshiaki Kawada to come just to stretch plum and kick the living shit out of all the WWF. Of course, I'd hate for him to work 2-3 minute matches and just do high spots. Part of the greatness of Kawada is his selling and psychology. Another plus of having him in wwf would be that I could finally see my dream match of Benoit vs Kawada for the title of stiffest motherfucker on the planet!!!!! If you wanted a Dream Match of Stiffest motherfucker then I would rather see Kawada Vs Dynamite Kid. Has Kawada ever faced Norton?
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted April 3, 2002 You are right about Dynamite Kid vs Kawada. However, Dynamite isn't going near a ring anytime soon. I guess I am going for people who can currently work.
Guest Special K Report post Posted April 3, 2002 On the subject of battle of the stiffest, I know it's probably occured, was there a match between Kawada and Vader? That would be a shitkicking of the highest order on bost sides.
Guest Van-Daminated Report post Posted April 11, 2002 its to hard to pick one so im going with a list. GoldBerg(I know it isnt supposed to be spelled with a capital B but come on doesnt it look cooler like that?) i think he could be a ratings draw and definitly a big merchandise seller and i think if handled right could be booked in big money matches for the wwf GoldBerg VS. Austin????,GoldBerg VS. ROCK??? smell the buy rate!!!!! Ken Shamrock: i always kinda dug him even though he wasnt the best in the ring, plus as someone else mentioned earlier he has a built in fued with Kurt Angle over stealing his Ankle Lock that would definitly be cool if shamrock does some training down at ovw or awa before he comes back i also would like some rock-shamrock rematches plus imagine if they signed goldberg too i think that could be a sweet fued but hey i know you may be screaming mark right now at the top of your lungs but this is intent, i am trying to speak from the point of view of a casual fan on the big well known names Jeff Jarret: ok now we know this guy proved himself in wcw as a champ and a main eventer, has a tremendous work rate and can work with damn near anyone. VADER:I think The wwf needs the traditional monster heel fat guy to go along with thier monster giants like Kane, plus Vader can work as anyone who has watched him in wcw can attest (never seen his work in japan,no credit card or money for that matter to order tames, shame on me !) he has put on some great matches, plus i always dug him WHAT TIME IS IT VADER TIME WHOS THE MAN !!! STING: because i always liked him even when it seemed he was going thru the motions ( i think for a brief period in 97 he was the most over wreslter in the country at least until starrcade after that it was cleanly austin but thats just me) not for long just as a swan song plus he could be good for merchandise but i dont think sting is up for it as he seemed to have lost the passion for the business do to his personal beliefs about the direction and content of the business today. The Great Muta: i always liked him, but the last time i saw him with vamp and icp he kinda sucked, but everybody says he kicks ass over in japan now. plus i dont think im in the minority here who thinks that a tajira-muta(they could both mist eachother lol) or a muta-benoit match would be sweet? i havent seen any indy tapes but from what i have heard i want the fallen angel chris daniels, reckless youth, american dragan,low-ki and a few others i cant name off hand in the wwf and put them on raw and move the cruisers over there too there gonna get buried under rock, hogan, angle, edge, jericho, etc, etc, etc.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Besides the obvious choice of Goldberg I would have to say Tom Zenk needs to be in the WWF. I'm just kidding. Thought I would throw him a bone. Since Scott Steiner's siging is imminent, I will disqualify him and say that Stevie Ray needs to brought into the WWF. They shouldn't bring him in as a wrestler, but as a commentator. He was one of the best things going in WCW towards the end.
Guest Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Rehire the Honky Tonk Man. Not as a Wrestler but so he can sit in with Cole on Smackdown. We Get Tazz back in the ring and HTM would rip Cole apart.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Hasn't Honky Tonk had a pretty Zenk-ish attitude to the WWF? Not that I wouldn't want to see him. I saw an old match of his the other day against a jobber, on WWF Superstars or whatever the hell its called, which was the funniest thing I've seen in wrestling for ages. Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted April 11, 2002 imagine a fued between Jarrett and Kurt Angle, two of the best workers in the biz... *drools*
Guest tombstone Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Realistically Jerry Lynn to work as a villain against RVD or as the evil heel of the Cruiserweightb division. Sting for a short nostalgia run against Hogan.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Too bad he burned his bridges, because Douglas would have feuds all set with either the NWO or Ric Flair, depending on his heel/face alignment (I'd book him as a heel, since the RAW roster is in desperate need of a heat drawing heel, as opposed to the cheered Undertaker or the just plain lame NWO). I think Masato Tanaka would be a godsend to the Hardcore Division, and could even revitalize it. Donovan Morgan/Michael Modest would rule the tag team scene (wait, this thread was for picking ONE guy...I'm getting off track...) Goldberg, I can't stand the guy, but he would probably draw should he ever opt to come in. Sting is long gone, but I would have loved to see Sting vs. Undertaker for some reason. Shamrock may or may not ever return, I like him, but don't miss him immensely. Bret Hart would wind up the most over babyface in WWF history if he came back and tore it up one last time with Vince. And as far as indy standouts, I think that American Dragon, Christopher Daniels, Tony Mamaluke, Little Guido, Crowbar and Daffney should all get shots someday. Guest Report post Posted April 11, 2002 1. The Cho Cho Chosen One Jeff Jarrett (Im Jeffs number one Mark) Other wrestlers worth signing would be: AJ Styles ( I Saw AJ wrestle on the 10/04/02 and fuck this guy rules he done a shooting star to the outside) Jerry Lynn ( I Saw Jerry wrestle on the 10/04/02 and i cant understand why the fuck the wwf got rd of him) Nova (I think he has signed a devolpment contract) Steiner ( Use him on RAW damn raw lacks the talent but they still have the better show)
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 11, 2002 After watching The Learning Channel special on the indy scene I would like to see Chris Daniels in the WWF, he was proclaimed the #1 indy wrestler in the country but has not been given a regular spot in the WWF due to his size. I want to see HHH put in the Angel Wings!!!!!!
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted April 11, 2002 Steve Corino Steve Corino is an amazing talent in my eyes, and I will always "mark" out for him. He has above average ring work, and amazing mic skills. He may be a little small compared to the "hosses" that J.R. & Vince are always looking for, but I don't think that should be held against him. Corino reminds me a lot of Shawn Micheals and Ric Flair. Much like Flair, every Corino match will have blood. Now, I do admit that Corino "juices" sometimes when it isn't necessary, but at least when he does do it, it looks good. As for Corino reminding me of HBK, that would be because of his body frame. He would always look like the underdog, which I like. Everyone wants to cheer for the underdog. I think that Steve Corino has more potential than most, unfortunately, that potential will probably never be tapped.
Guest Report post Posted April 12, 2002 1. Goldberg 2. Big Poppa Pump Way down the list 3. Jeff Jarrett 4. Eric Bischoff 5. Norman Smiley (the big wiggle would be over huge in the 14 year old fan based WWF)
Guest Van-Daminated Report post Posted April 12, 2002 oh man i cant believe i forgot masato tanaka, that guy fucking rips it up every time he is in there, but the wwf would prolly seriously mishandle him, but he could rip i up with, rvd, benoit, jericho, and of course tazz and mike awesome. to milesberg are you the same milesberg from rantsylvania? i was a lurker there i read all the time but seldom posted funny thats how i am here.
