Guest Salacious Crumb Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 So my friend and I are at BestBuy last night and we're about to leave. Oh all things it starts hailing. And I'm talking big chunks of ice here. So I had to be somewhere and couldn't be late so we had to run to the end of the parking lot all the while getting pelted with hail. I mean come on when does it hail in the middle of August?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 You've never been in a tornado before, have you?
Guest stardust Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 You've never been in a tornado before, have you? Those are always fun. Gotta love living in Tornado Alley...
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 I've been lucky in that all the tornado's that hit the area never hit my community.
Guest Big T Posted August 29, 2003 Report Posted August 29, 2003 I hate hail. That shit broke my windshield a year ago. I had to call Cindy Rowe.
Red Baron Posted August 30, 2003 Report Posted August 30, 2003 actually if its a cool day, the rain would freeze up on the way down for impact.

I remember watching the Jarrel tornado on TV, because it went right past one of the local news stations, and one of the weather guys decided to hop into the van with a camera crew and chase the thing. That was just eerie, seeing all of that destruction as it was happening like 30 miles away from me.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 Storm chasing is a barrel of fuckin' monkeys if one has a car with good tires. Preferally a heavy one, too. You have no idea how great of a picture it would be..me, pointing a firearm at a distant tornado. It's one of my newer life goals, after having thought about it for a while.
Guest stardust Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 That's certainly an odd life goal. Then again, I have a friend who chases storms quite frequently, so...*shrug* I'm just more interested in trying to get some photos of lightning...
