Guest Goodear Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Well... I don't know if I can write a better match than this one so if anyone wants to clue me in as why it lost I would be happy to hear it. ---------------------------------------------------------- “Ladies and Gentlemen,” begins the happy faced announcer Funyon, “it is time for your main event!” “I have been waiting for this contest all week long Citizen Riley,” calls out The Cyclone Comet. “This is sure to be a classic as Ejiro Fasaki takes on Danny Williams.” “You know it Comet,” says Bobby Riley. “Both of these two men have taken similar paths to get to a step away from the winners bracket triple threat finals. As much as this is a battle between Williams and Fasaki, it is also going to be a battle of the Buffalo Sleeper against the Cobra Crossface or at least who can get the move on first.” Howling into the microphone, Funyon brings the Washington, DC crowd to their feet in anticipation for the final battle of the evening. “Introducing first…” OHHHHHHHHH SAYYYYYYYYY CANNNNNNNNN YOUUUUUUUUUU SEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Stepping through the curtain with his usual phony smile plastered against his face comes the reigning SWF United States Champion. With his reluctant trainee Wildchild by his side, Ejiro Fasaki saunters down to ringside with his title belt on his shoulder and the American flag waiving behind him. Walking up the ringside steps, Fasaki wanders about the ring for a moment as Funyon continues his ring announcements. “He is accompanied to the ring by Wildchild and is the reigning SWF United States Heavyweight champion. Hailing from Sarasota, Florida and weighing in tonight at 189 pounds… this is EEEEEJIROOOOO FASAKIIIIII~!” The capital crowd roars out in protest, “FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI!” Pulling the microphone away from the referee, Fasaki begins his stereotypical discussion of the topics of the day. “You know something, I would at least expect that the United States champion would get a little tiny bit of respect in the United States Capital. But I guess what all the people around this great country say is true. That the only thing Washington cares about is Washington! Well, Ejiro Fasaki is a man of the people who represents all the people. From Maine to California, I care about every citizen and illegal alien that crosses the boarder. So while you all sit around voting yourself pay raises, remember that Ejiro is out there uniting the states… except for Hawaii and Alaska. Because I am better than them and I CAN PROVE IT!” Passing the microphone back to Funyon, Ejiro pulls off his Justice and Rule jersey as Funyon continues to call through the crowd. “And his opponent…” "DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!" “What a response from the Washington crowd for the leader of the Unholy Trinity!” howls the Cyclone Comet as the sounds of the “Jester’s Dance” plays throughout the arena. Riley responds, “What do these people know about making good decisions? Need I mention Mayor Marion Berry?” Stalking down the ramp way like an animal just released from its cage, Danny Williams ignores the sound of the fans as he enters the ring. Stretching out against the top rope, Danny mentally prepares himself for the battle that is only moments away. This will be a battle that will not only be fought physically but mentally as well. Cyclone Comet says, “One of the things we are going to have to watch in this match will be the mental games that Ejiro is sure to play with the stoic Williams. I don’t think that Fasaki is going to be able to break his focus here tonight but we will have to see how that plays out in just a moment.” Funyon continues with his call, “He weighs in tonight at 243 pounds and hails from Louisville, Kentucky. The leader of the Unholy Trinity, this is DANNYYYYY WILLIAMSSSSS~!” The crowd once again responds with a thunderous ovation, which does nothing to shake the concentration of the statuesque Danny Williams. Coming out to the center of the ring, Ejiro Fasaki stands up strait as a board and fires off a military salute right at the former ICTV Champion. But Danny still shows no signs of even minor annoyance as referee Eddy Long signals for the bell to start off this contest. DING! DING! “And Danny Williams comes ALIVE~!” Charging ahead like a bulldozer, Williams gets right underneath the flat footed Fasaki and shoves him all the way back into a corner with frightening power. Lowering a shoulder immediately, Williams begins to cut away at Fasaki’s midsection with a crushing shoulder tackle. Holding onto the top rope, Williams continues to hammer his body into the stunned Fasaki with all of his 240 some odd pounds. Satisfied with his early progress, Williams immediately presses up against Fasaki and snags the smaller wrestler by the wrist. Then with a shrug of his power, Danny sends Fasaki flying across the ring and into the opposite turnbuckle with a terminal amount of velocity. Crashing into the turnbuckle with his chest, Fasaki almost falls strait backward only to have Danny right behind him to make the catch, but not for any good intentions. “He’s going for the backdrop suplex!” But the instant before he finds the back of his head crush against the mat, Ejiro hammers down on the back of Danny’s head with a series of harsh elbows in order to escape from the precarious position. Using the opening to hit the ropes for some momentum, Ejiro looks to send Danny to the mat with an elbow across the chest. POP! CRACK! Almost insulted by the paltry strike against his chest, Williams strikes right back into Ejiro’s face with a harsh elbow of his own that sends the United States champion shattering against the canvas. Immediately picking Fasaki up before he can get the separation necessary to catch his wits, Danny Williams immediately slaps on a front facelock and begins to drag Fasaki back out to the center of the ring. Having dragged Ejiro just where he wants him, Williams forgoes the face lock in order to snap Rule over to the mat with a textbook snap mare. Setting Fasaki right on the canvas, Danny rears back and snaps into a Slim Jim with a savage kick across the back! SNAP! But before Ejiro can even scream with pain, Danny pulls him off the canvas again and once more snaps him over into a seated position. SNAP! Another kick ricochets against the base of Fasaki’s spine only to have Danny once again lift the United States champion off the canvas before depositing him on the canvas once more. And by now I think you know what exactly is coming down the pike next. SNAP! “Good golly miss molly!” pipes up The Cyclone Comet as Danny finally drops down on Ejiro and hooks his leg in an early attempt at getting the three count. ONE! TWOONNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO! Tossing his arm off the canvas at once, Fasaki keeps from being defeated on this occasion but we are left to wonder if that was truly Danny’s intent in the first place! Immediately grabbing a hold of Ejiro’s arm as it is unprotected away from his body, Danny looks to pull it asunder as he immediately scissors it between his back and leans back harshly with his cross armbreaker! “It could be over right now!” “TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP!” chants the crowd as Fasaki feels the joint of his elbow hyper extending. But this early in this contest, Ejiro has the energy available in reserve to cut loose with his body in a wild attempt to get himself over to the ropes as Williams cranks away on his arm. Finally reaching out with his entire body, Ejiro manages to get a leg underneath the bottom rope and stave off the submission as referee Long immediately calls for the break. “Excellent faint there by Danny Williams,” marks The Cyclone Comet. “Just as Ejiro used a similar opening to defeat Dante Crane last week, Danny Williams almost got the victory in the same manner using his cross armbreaker.” Riley adds, “But since Ejiro did it so much later in that match, Crane didn’t have the energy to counter out of the move. This early though, Danny had to hope that Ejiro would be so caught off guard that he would tap out instinctively.” But still getting to the ropes is not enough to provide solstice to Rule as Danny Williams pulls him loose from the side of the ring and back into the center of the ring. Pulling Ejiro in close by the hair, Danny sends forth a harsh short elbow to the side of the ear. But instead of allowing Fasaki to tumble to the mat again, Williams makes sure to hold onto the oily grappler to keep him standing up tall so Danny can let loose with a staggering big boot across the face. Rolling with the impact of the kick, Fasaki finally gains a little bit of room as he manages to slide out underneath the bottom rope and to the relative safety of the ringside floor. “Ejiro needs to start all over again if he has any chance of getting ahead in this contest,” notes The Cyclone Comet. “With Danny Williams throwing the lumber early and often, Fasaki needs a reboot that makes the Crisis on Infinite Earths seem like Heroes Reborn.” Riley snidely adds, “You know Comet, there are many days where I am simply happy to just let you have your little references and let it be at that.” Landing on the floor very close to his unhappy protégé, Ejiro motions furiously for Wildchild to stand in between him and Danny Williams in order to give Rule a longer moment to rest. But as is typical for the Bahamas Bomber, Wildchild merely takes a step away from his trainer as if to give Danny Williams a free shot. And Danny never needs a second invitation to go about kicking the hell out of someone as he raises an elbow to the crowd to give them a little preview as to what is coming before he hops into the ropes for further momentum. Rushing back to the side of the ring where Ejiro has just gotten to his feet, Williams dives in between the ropes to deliver the… “ELBOW SUICIADA!” “BUT IT HIT WILDCHILD!” As Danny makes his approach, Ejiro Fasaki reaches out and grabs a hold of his unwilling student and pulls him right into the path of the flying elbow. Unwittingly nailing the Human Hurricane completely baffles Danny Williams’ spacing and he ends up knocking heads with Wildchild rather than delivering the elbow as he intended. But even with the force of the impact, Danny Williams begins to move immediately after crushing Wildchild against the concrete floor. But Ejiro Fasaki is there immediately to snatch a hold of Danny Williams’ dyed black hair and uses to send Danny flying strait into a ring post with his face! CLANG! Shaking like a fish out of water, Danny crashes to the floor in a heap as the crowd groans in sympathy. Quickly trying to press his advantage of the moment, Rule swarms over Danny with a series of right hands to the head before sending the submission specialist back into the ring to avoid the count out. Sliding into the ring right behind his prey, Ejiro quickly attempts to make the most of his opening by sending Williams bouncing into the ropes and making an impact with a harsh elbow across the sternum. Crashing to the mat, Williams immediately rolls to a more protected position on the canvas than flat on his back as Fasaki begins to lay in a series of nasty stomps to the spine of his downed opponent. But as Ejiro concentrates on obliterating Danny, someone else is concentrating on doing the same exact thing to him. “Wildchild is up on the apron,” calls out The Cyclone Comet. “Finally, he has had enough of the crap that the villainous Fasaki has put him through!” But as Wildchild pokes his head between the ropes to enter the ring, he immediately finds his path barred by an angry Eddy Long. Lowering his shoulder into the incoming Bahamas Bomber, the referee refuses to allow the SWF Hardcore Champion into the ring. But Wildchild is doing nothing but help out Rule as while the referee is tied up with the interfering action, Ejiro merrily drops down on Danny Williams and begins to maul away. Jamming his fingers into Williams’ eyes with his fingertips, Ejiro laughs heartily as Wildchild tries to point the infractions out to the inattentive referee. Finally realizing he is doing nothing but help his most hated rival, Wildchild drops to the arena floor and begins to walk away from ringside so that he will no longer play a part in either helping Fasaki or hurting Williams. And with that distraction gone, Long finally turns in time to catch Ejiro in the process of attempting to jam his fingers into the mouth of the leader of The Unholy Trinity. The Comet roars into the microphone, “Fasaki’s trying to fishhook Danny Williams! He’s trying to rip his mouth open!” But before Ejiro can pull a move out Irish street fighting lore, the referee immediately forces the United States Champion off the downed Williams. Raising off Williams with a smile, Fasaki looks out to the people with a smile before breaking out another military salute to the booing populace of Washington, DC. “FU FASAKU! FU FASAKU! FU FASAKU! FU FASAKU! FU FASAKU!” Pulling the worked over Danny Williams off the canvas for just a moment, Fasaki uses a snap mare to position Williams right in the center of the ring and leaves Danny sitting on the canvas. Quickly bounding off the ropes, Fasaki pops right back to Williams from behind before leaping over his downed opponent while catching the back of his head with a stunning Curt Hennig neck snapper. Folding backwards to the mat, Williams tries to shake out the kink in his neck as Fasaki rolls up to his feet with a neat little tuck of his body. But as he rises to his feet, Ejiro has something else in mind rather than continuing to press his advantage. Sucking in as much air as his lungs will allow, Fasaki lifts his arm high into the air and lets loose with a patriotic battle cry… “HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!” Lowering down into a three point stance, Ejiro Fasaki eyes up his stunned adversary as Williams struggles to rise up underneath his own power. And as Danny staggers up to his feet, Ejiro stampedes out of the corner and looks to send Danny down to the mat with his newly appropriated running clothesline which… CRACK~! “COUNTER ELBOWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAA~!” Exploding out of the box, Danny slams his elbow right into the face of his charging opponent at full speed. Flying to the mat as though a truck just hit him in the face, Ejiro folds over his own body before finding rest on the canvas. Immediately pushing Fasaki over onto his back, Williams lays in a lateral press in order to get the victory. ONE! "DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!" TWO! "DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!" THREEEEEEEEEEEENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! “It’s not enough!” calls out Bobby Riley; “Ejiro must have gotten a hand up or something to absorb that shot. After all, that same counter elbow was enough to put down Fasaki’s own partner Judge William Hearford.” Rolling with the kick out, Danny pulls Fasaki up as he himself regains his vertical base. Lowering his center of gravity, Williams jerks Fasaki right off the mat and deposits him right on the canvas with a nasty scoop body slam. Touching his own mouth for a moment to get the taste of Ejiro’s fingers away from his lips, Danny looks down on Fasaki with a new sense of burning rage. Immediately shifting his weight, Danny drops down with all of his weight behind a hard knee that crushes Fasaki’s head underneath. The impact of the blow causes Ejiro to instinctively sit up in pain as Williams easily stands up under his own power before slapping down across Fasaki’s chest with a savage chop. SMACK! Aching in sympathy with even the totally unsympathetic United States Champion flails right back to the mat, the crowd winces in response to the impact of the hard chop. But Danny Williams simply does not have time for mercy as uses a wristlock to pull Ejiro all the way back up to his vertical base. Standing at the side of the wobbly Rule, Danny whips out a series of snapping kick to the back of Ejiro’s calf. SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! Hobbled by the force of the kicks, Fasaki drops strait down to his knees where Danny Williams is only too happy to release the wristlock and grab two handfuls of hair. Ignoring the call of the referee to release Fasaki, Danny instead begins to slam strait into Fasaki’s unprotected face with a series of staggering knees that seeming go strait into Ejiro’s eye. Finally satisfied with the damage he has caused, Williams just slams Fasaki’s face forward into the mat “I do believe that Danny Williams is mildly perturbed,” notes the smiling masked super hero turned play-by-play man. “Oh, this of all things you decide to downplay,” rants Bobby Riley. “Aren’t you going to mention something about Williams’ super knee powers?” “Super knee powers? That’s crazy talk Citizen Riley! You’re a crazy man!” Dragging Ejiro off the mat with his usual degree of anger, Williams sends Fasaki across the ring with a harsh Irish whip that sends Ejiro falling to the mat in a heap in the center of the ring. Immediately snatching Fasaki off the mat once again, Danny Williams jerks Ejiro’s head down between his legs and immediately grabs a hold of him around the body. “He’s going for the powerbomb!” “This maneuver beat Fasaki in these two men’s first meeting!” But this time Ejiro has the move well scouted and as he is up in Williams’ arms, the wily United States Champion reaches down and jams a thumb right into the eye of the angry leader of the Unholy Trinity. Continuing to rotate even as Danny’s grip loosens, Ejiro lands on his feet right in front of Danny Williams before taking to the air immediately in the hopes of turning the match around. Placing one foot on Danny’s knee, Fasaki swings around the other and it collides with the back of Danny’s skull! CRACK! “INZIGURIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!” Collapsing forward from the impact of Ejiro’s foot smashing into his orbital occipital protuberance, Danny falls down to his knees as Ejiro tries to get his head back into the game. And indeed he does as Ejiro grabs a hold of Danny by the hair and tights before moving him over the middle ropes. Putting all his weight down on Williams’ back, Ejiro effectively chokes Danny while shaking out his own head to try and shake loose the battering blows that Williams has delivered thus far in this contest. Choking away while the referee counts toward five, Ejiro buys himself some time to recover as Danny struggles to get some air back into his lungs. Finally breaking off the assault, Ejiro wanders out towards the center of the ring as Long needlessly warns him about the choke. “Danny had better move,” notes Bobby Riley. “I think we should all know just what is coming down the pike now.” Hopping into the ropes, Ejiro comes roaring back across the ring before leaping strait down on the back of Williams’ head and once again strangles him against the middle rope with a Bossman straddle. Once again waiting for Long to count up to four, Ejiro breaks by sliding through the ropes and out to the apron. Stepping back a few steps from the winded Williams, Ejiro comes stamping towards his opponent and send a kick right off the face of the leader of The Unholy Trinity. Flying strait back onto his spine, Danny lays in the center of the ring as Fasaki follows his prey back into the ring. Quickly pulling down one kneepad, Ejiro thinks about placing it right between Williams’ eyes. But before doing so, Ejiro adopts a very thoughtful pose for a moment before reaching down and removing his other pad as well. Then hopping as high as he can, Ejiro comes slamming downward with both knees to the head of Danny Williams. Immediately reaching across Danny, Ejiro hooks the legs in an attempt to get out of this match right now. ONE! TWO! THRNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONOTGONNAHAPPEN! Kicking out with his superior power, Danny manages to get free from underneath the body weight of the United States Champion. But Fasaki is not so easily frustrated as he immediately pulls Danny back off the mat and pushes him backward into a corner. Measuring the leader of The Unholy Trinity, Ejiro lets a solid elbow fly that connects with Danny’s ear and sends him rocking back on his heels. Not stopping there, Ejiro brings the elbow back and forth like a piston as he tries to physically obliterate Williams with a flurry that brings the crowd to an angry chant. “FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI! FU FASAKI!” “Now we are seeing that elbow be a whole lot more effective than it was earlier in the match,” notes The Cyclone Comet. “And while Ejiro does not have the high impact offense that Danny Williams possesses he can grind a human being into paste when he gets the chance.” Backing off Williams once again by the order of the referee, Ejiro raises his arms to the referee to let him know that The United States Champion is following Eddy Long’s instructions. But as soon as the referee is out of the way, Ejiro leaps right back onto Williams and takes a perch on the middle ropes to pin Danny in the corner once again. And again, Ejiro begins to rain down a series of short elbows to the top of Williams’ head. But Danny Williams simply is nobodies victim … and he is going to prove it right now. Reaching underneath Ejiro’s legs as Fasaki continues to hammer away with the elbow, Danny soon snatches Fasaki right off the middle ropes. Walking forward a step, Danny forces Fasaki down to the canvas with a thunderous… “POWAAAAAAAAAAAAAHBOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMB!” Leaning all of his weight over the stunned corpse, Danny hooks in deeply as Long slides down to make the count… ONNNNNNNNNNE! TWOOOOOOOOOO! THREEEEEEEENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHEGOTTHEROPES! Being only a step away from the corner, Fasaki manages to hook the bottom ropes with his hand and stop the count from ending this contest. Rolling right off the top of his cover, Danny Williams lies right next to his fallen adversary as both men try to recover before one can legally try to murder the other. But in the mean time, Eddy Long has no recourse than to try and count both men out. ONE! TWO! THREE! “Dan-E!” FOUR! “Dan-E! Dan-E! DAN-E!” FIVE! “DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!” And although Danny might never admit it, the cheers of the crowd rise Danny from the grave as Fasaki remains plastered against the canvas from the impact of the powerbomb. But Fasaki does not require his own strength to get to his feet as Danny drags him strait up to his feet and sends a hard elbow careening into his face with a sickening… CRACK! Ejiro wobbles for a moment but does not fall as Danny makes sure that Ejiro does not go anywhere before Williams makes him go somewhere. And so with Fasaki out on his feet, Danny flies into the ropes and comes roaring back with a devastating Dynamic kick that sends Ejiro’s head into the third row and the rest of him rolling all the way out of the ring. “What a kick! And now, Danny Williams is lining it up once again!” Raising his elbow to the crowd yet again, Danny makes sure to keep a close eye on his opponent as he runs the ropes and looks to deliver the… “ELBOW SUICIDAAAAAAAAA~!” Flying through the middle rope, Danny collides perfectly with Ejiro with the point of his elbow and sends the United States Champions bouncing backward into the guard rail before falling down to his knees and finally face first to the concrete floor. But Williams does not allow Ejiro even the opportunity to even pass out before Danny picks him off the padded arena floor and passes Ejiro back into the ring. Following Ejiro into the ring, Danny leans back into a corner as he awaits Fasaki’s rise up to his feet. And as Fasaki staggers up as though he just came off a three-week bender, Danny Williams really does bend him over with crushing… “LARIATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Shaking out his own shoulder from the pain of the impact, Danny Williams looks out to the people as the crowd chants his name to the heavens. “DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!” And Danny pulls a finger across his throat to signal that this thing is just about done! Grabbing Ejiro by the damn ears, Danny jerks the United States Champion right into a seated position and hooks his arm as Williams locks down with the Buffalo Sleeper! “This is the move that got Danny this far in the tournament,” shouts The Comet, “Will it get him all the way to the Winner’s three way?” “TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP!” roars the Washington crowd in an effort to perhaps sway Fasaki into giving it up. But Fasaki just does not believe in giving customers what they want. Immediately getting his legs underneath him, Ejiro manages to fight up to his feet as Danny continues to crank away with the Buffalo sleeper. But Fasaki manages to weed his leg in between Danny’s and switch out of the hold while at the same time bringing Williams face first to the mat. Quickly hopping over Danny’s back, Ejiro looks to pull Danny’s arm into a leg scissors in order to lock down the Cobra Crossface! “What a counter! What a counter!” But Danny is not about to just lie on the canvas and let Fasaki stretch him out and he immediately works his head free and behind Ejiro. Standing up with an iron grip still around the body of the United States Champion, Danny manages to pulls Ejiro up and jerk him overhead before jamming him strait back into the canvas with a savage… “BACKDROPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!” Rolling over Fasaki, Danny hooks the far legs and wraps Ejiro into a tight little ball as Long counts away along with the entire crowd! ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNE! TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEENOOOOOOOOOOHEKICKEDOUTHEKICKEDOUT! Looking at the referee and then Ejiro in complete astonishment, Danny thinks deeply for a second before his surprise turns into something a little more on the furious side. Rising up with about enough anger to choke Mother Theresa on her own bile, Danny Williams looks out to the people as he lines Ejiro up once again. Dropping down as low as he can, Danny explodes once again as he looks to take Fasaki’s head with a… “LARIATOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!” “HE DUCKED! EJIRO DUCKED! S… T… OOOOOOOOOOOO!” Slamming Danny’s back against the canvas with a heel trip, Ejiro immediately hooks the legs as Long dives into position and makes the count of… ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNE~! TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! THREEEEENNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODANNYAIN’TDEADYET! “DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!” “Listen to this crowd, they want Danny to take this thing!” “Who cares what THEY want!” replies Bobby Riley; “I want Fasaki to end this right now!” And Ejiro is going to make a go of that as he leaves Danny lying on the canvas and hops into the ropes. Leaping up to the middle, Ejiro propels himself backward with a lionsault… “Hits the knees!” Impacting against Danny’s kick pads with all of his weight behind it, Fasaki rolls across the mat in a litany of pain as Williams starts to move once again. But Fasaki seemingly wants no more as he desperately tries to scamper through the middle ropes and get to the safety of the ringside floor. But there is one big thing keeping him from accomplishing that and that would be the arms of Danny Williams snagging Ejiro by the tights! Dragging Ejiro back away from the ropes a step, Danny once more grips Fasaki from behind and looks to bury The United States Champion with the dangerous backdrop! “HUHHHHHHRRRRRRRR!” grunts the leader of The Unholy Trinity as he has a lot more trouble lifting Fasaki than usual. “Ejiro has the ropes,” calls out Bobby Riley, “Danny can’t suplex him now!” “RAWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRR!” SCREAMS Williams as he forcibly pulls Fasaki’s hand off the top rope. “Oh no?” But as Danny lifts Fasaki off the canvas, Rule manages to get a foot on the top rope and pushes himself away from the ropes with all he has! Turning out of Danny’s grip, Fasaki gains control of the situation as he drives William’s face right into the canvas with a springboard bulldog! WHAM! And instantly Fasaki locks it on! “COBRAAAAAAAA CROSSFACEEEEEEEEEEE!” “Danny was stunned from the bulldog and couldn’t counter! He couldn’t counter!” "DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E! DAN-E!" “TAP YOU BASTARD” calls out Bobby Riley, “TAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!” Caught in Fasaki’s favorite hold, Danny Williams screams out in pain as the crowd rises to their feet. Clapping! Stomping! Cheering! Willing Danny Williams to get out of the hold! But what can Danny do? His arms are caught… His legs can’t get the drive… And the pain is too much… TAP! TAP! TAP! “It’s OVERRRRRRRRRRR!” shouts out Bobby Riley. DING! DING! DING! The crowd falls to back to their chairs exhausted as Fasaki releases the crossface and slides to the arena floor. It is there that the referee joins The United States Champion with belt in hand to pass to the victorious party. But as sweet as the touch of his gold is right now, the following words are all the sweeter. “The winner of this contest and advancing to the next round of the Road to Genesis IV Tournament … EEEEEEEEEEJIROOOOOOOOOO FASAKIIIIIIIIII!”
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted August 31, 2003 Heya Ejiro. Your match marker here, with his constructive criticism. First of all, excellent match. I very much enjoyed it, and Danny won by a slim margin. First let me point out that you walloped Danny in overall atmosphere of the match, which was far superior and very entertaining. It added a lot. Good solid psychology and chains, some good sequences... a very good match overall. I daresay it would have beaten the majority of the midcarders work. Sadly, you ran into a main eventer. My main problem was in the sequence immediately prior to the finish, in which danny begins to take control again with an elbow, powerbomb, elbow, dynamic kick, lariat, elbow suicida, and the buffalo sleeper. An overwhelming sequence to say the least, with nearly every move in it used as a finisher in a match previously. Even with your 8 vitality, you needed way more transition from that to your first cobra crossface attempt/reversal, even if it was quickly countered. It really disrupted the flow of your match, as I went back several times to make sure that I had read the sequence right to wrap my brain around it. It is such a change of the course of things that it needs more description and more justification. I very much liked your beginning, particularly the kill you as quickly as possible approach danny's character took. “Ejiro needs to start all over again if he has any chance of getting ahead in this contest,” notes The Cyclone Comet. “With Danny Williams throwing the lumber early and often, Fasaki needs a reboot that makes the Crisis on Infinite Earths seem like Heroes Reborn.” Excellent reference that nearly won the match right there. You used Wildchild better than Danny, but no surprise there. Also really liked the fishhook spot. Excelletn descriptives throughout, that kept the pace flowing nicely until the aforementioned spot. Your match was better than Danny's in several respects, but his was better that yours in many ways as well. In the end, I trusted my scorecard.
Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 I would of jobbed him for that statement! Nah I'm J/K. It looked like a cool match to me, Ejiro. I like that I'm not the only one to have ever read any comic books anymore! Even though the statement makes no sense knowing both the storylines involved.
