Japanese dvds: ultra 7 and mazinkeiser?

For you Japanese series fans out there. I've always been a mark for the japanese Ultra 7 live action series (whereas here in the States everyone knows about Ultraman) and the Mazinger Z anime. Does anybody know if the Ultra 7 series will ever come out? Mazinkeiser is the last chapter of the Mazinger/Great Mazinger series, and I heard there's a DVD coming out but do not know when. Any help?

Ultra 7 only has the first four eps available in the US on DVD. And they're dubbed, which may be a problem if you're a sub fanatic. Here's a link to an Ultra-Man site that lists video sales/trading sites: http://www.waynebrain.com/ultra/articles/video.html

 

Mazinkaiser isn't avaliable on Region 1 DVD yet.

Much like the Dragon Ball Z dub, the english dub for Ultra 7 is horrible. I was hoping there was like a subtitled version or something.

The Mazinkaiser stuff brings up another question I posted in the old Forum: Is there any way to make the PS2 Region-free or something like that? THere's this mod chip that allows to play copied games but I'm not sure it'll work with other region DVDs.

I'm not a PS2 owner, so I'd have no idea. I wouldn't think there's a regional-DVD hack, but I could be wrong.
