Guest Hoyakillah Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Damn these restrictive time periods! Damn them all to hell! 1. Ultimo Dragon 2. Jushin Lyger 3. Great Sasuke 4. Shinjiro Ohtani 5. El Samurai 6. Chris Benoit 7. Dean Malenko 8. Rey Misterio, Jr. 9. Koji Kanemoto 10. Dick Togo
Guest Misawa Da Man Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Misawa wasn't classed as a junior.
Guest MRFTW Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Did he even wrestle as Tiger Mask in the 90's?
Guest ElLocoTas Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Misawa stopped doing the Tiger Mask II gimmick in 1990.
Guest Frank Zappa Mask Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Top 10 that I have seen... 1. Jushin Liger 2. Chris Benoit 3. Rey Mysterio Jr 4. Shinjiro Ohtani 5. The Great Sasuke 6. Eddy Guerrero 7. TAKA Michinoku 8. Ultimo Dragon Ummmmmm.......I need to watch some more Junior wrestling...
Guest Misawa Da Man Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Was he actually ever classed as a Junior though? I mean, he was 6", 220 and wrestled for lots of hevayweight titles around the world (when the champions came to Japan, see Ricky Steamboat)
Guest J*ingus Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 I remember Dynamite Kid said in his book that Misawa never should've done the Tiger Mask gimmick, because he was just too big & couldn't come close to Sayama in the high-fyling stuff.
Guest Misawa Da Man Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 But, a guy Misawa's size doing full 360 flips onto his feet, ESPECIALLY in the 1980s was incredible.
Guest Tim Cooke Posted February 9, 2002 Report Posted February 9, 2002 Misawa was considered a Junior during the Mid 80's in his feud with Kobayashi during Choshu's Invasion of AJPW. Top 10 Juniors of the 1990's 1- Jushin Liger 2- Juventud Guerrera 3- Shinjiro Otani 4- El Samurai 5- Rey Misterio Jr. 6- Eddy Guerrero 7- Ultimo Dragon 8- Chris Benoit 9- Great Sasuke 10- Taka Michinoku Eh, that's not a great list. I am set on the top 3. 4-9 all belong there, probably in a different order. Tim
Guest thefrenchargel Posted February 13, 2002 Report Posted February 13, 2002 1.Liger 2.Benoit 3.Eddy Guerrero 4.Shinjiro Ohtani 5.Great Sasuke 6.Rey Jr. 7.Dean Malenko 8.Ultimo Dragon 9.Gran Hamada 10.Dick Togo ...Hamada rules it, Dick Togo kicks ass, too.
