Guest Misawa Da Man Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Was he actually ever classed as a Junior though? I mean, he was 6", 220 and wrestled for lots of hevayweight titles around the world (when the champions came to Japan, see Ricky Steamboat)
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted February 9, 2002 I remember Dynamite Kid said in his book that Misawa never should've done the Tiger Mask gimmick, because he was just too big & couldn't come close to Sayama in the high-fyling stuff.
Guest Misawa Da Man Report post Posted February 9, 2002 But, a guy Misawa's size doing full 360 flips onto his feet, ESPECIALLY in the 1980s was incredible.
Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted February 9, 2002 Misawa was considered a Junior during the Mid 80's in his feud with Kobayashi during Choshu's Invasion of AJPW. Top 10 Juniors of the 1990's 1- Jushin Liger 2- Juventud Guerrera 3- Shinjiro Otani 4- El Samurai 5- Rey Misterio Jr. 6- Eddy Guerrero 7- Ultimo Dragon 8- Chris Benoit 9- Great Sasuke 10- Taka Michinoku Eh, that's not a great list. I am set on the top 3. 4-9 all belong there, probably in a different order. Tim
