Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted September 4, 2003 A lot of people are posting general thoughts about tonight's show in the Teddy Hart Is Great thread, so I figured I'd make a thread for discussion of the show. Anyways, I see a few people really enjoyed the show tonight, Dave Meltzer being one of them. In my opinion, the show tonight was CRAPULENCE. The matches were mostly short spotfests with nobodies who I don't give a shit about, one or two decent wrestlers, and a has-been who is nowhere close to top form. I enjoyed the final match in the tournament, as well as Teddy Hart vs. Guerrera to an extent (the extent being that it's unreal how much hang time Hart gets on his asai from the top rope to the floor), but that's really about it. The other matches in the tournament were basically devoid of transition, timing, and heat. All of the first round matches especially. Mad Mikey vs. Lazz? That was unbelievably bad. Jesus, what was the point? It didn't even get the crowd going. And this Lazz character is just a rehash of pretty much every other gay gimmick out there and, as a result, was very unentertaining. Kazarian/Shane was especially shitty; both men looked like they were sleepwalking through it. And the main event was boring, boring, boring, and basically accomplished nothing. Wow, Shane cutting the split ends off of Raven's head, didn't we already know that was coming at some point? If Raven has his hair next live show, then nothing was accomplished at all. Shit, the match wasn't even all that bloody. Anyways...others rant, please. I'm really interested to hear you guys defend this two hours I'm never going to get back. EDIT: Also, while my mind is on it...Teddy Hart has the worst look ever. The guy's a HART, for christ's sake, shouldn't he look somewhat serious - like an actual WRESTLER as opposed to a sports entertainer? Any interest I had in this guy was destroyed when I saw him come out looking like a reject from an Ed Wood film.
