Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Slamfest 95 This is basically a Coliseum tape featuring matches from the summer of 1994. Ted Dibase is the studio host. Todd Pettengill gives us strategy tips for NBA Jam, True Lies and Warlock Diesel (w/Shawn Michaels) v. Lex Luger for the WWF Intercontinental Title Lockup. JR and Macho are on commentary. Lockup, Lockup again and Diesel paws Luger’s face. Diesel shoves him to the outside. Luger sunset flips him back in-2. HBK gives advice. This is at Fernwood Resorts and Casino. Razor Ramon comes out and goes after HBK. HBK runs into Lex who lays into him as the ref calls for the bell. *** This match was pretty good as both Diesel was working hard to justify his push and Lex was pretty good. Diesel chucks Lex out but Razor cleans house until the numbers take over and they kick his ass. Luger saves Razor from a spike piledriver. 1-2-3 Kid v. Yokozuna (w/James E. Cornette and Mr. Fuji) Gorilla and Stan Lane are on commentary. This is a Coliseum exclusive. Kid uses his speed to avoid Yoko. ‘1-2-3’ chant. Great matches like this. Dibase wraps it up. The Bottom Line- OHHHHHHHHH YEA! This tape is one hour of good wrestling and a kickass final match. This is one Coliseum tape to hunt down and find. It’s definitely worth it. Highest Recommendation
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Man, I feel dumb requesting this tape since I already own it. But I agree with some of your assessments. The Clique match is excellent thanks to HBK and the Kid. And Nash did what he does best, nothing for the majority of the match. I liked the Harts match a little more then you did. As for the Luger-Diesel match, I think there was a little too much stalling to give it *** but the match is certainly watchable. And I think you were way too generous for the Doink-Jarrett match but that's just a difference of opinion.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted April 3, 2002 It's weird watching Luger wrestle in his "All American" tights. Knowing the Lex Express had a car crash. HBK/Diesel vs. Ramon/Kid is great. To think that was on the Action Zone.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Thanks for the feedback. Luger-Diesel was one of those matches I just liked. Nothing extroadniary in the match- I just liked it. Jarrett-Doink does start off kind of bad but as the match gets going it gets really really good.
