I'll say 27 spears and 22 Impalers.  Angle is above Edge in every sense but him wreslting Edge beats him jobbing to HHH and Hogan IMO.  maybe they should put him with Test just to make Anglesault reallu happy .

I'm with Anglesault.  I don't understand the Fed's enthusiasm for Edge at all.  I don't watch the guy and think, "future main eventer" the way I do when watching, say, RVD or Rhyno.  There is nothing outstanding about Edge that screams "Champion."  The Spear (which Anglesault is right to make fun of) is so weak it couldn't knock over a crippled granny.  To me, Edge is just a pretty boy with big hair and big teeth.  Kurt - who is still solidifying his position as a main eventer among much competition - should not be used to try to put over somebody who may well end up being a "never was" (as a singles wrestler).  Let somebody whose legend is sealed - SCSA, UT - do this if it MUST be done.

By the time Backlash rolls around, it will be between 60-70 spears with Angle getting 5-10 spears.  I think that Angle would be better off embarassing Hogan out of wrestling than feuding with Edge.  And thanks for acting like a mature adult Anglesalt.

Feelings on Edge? I don't really like him. I think the name for his fans(edgeheads?) is the dumbest thing since HHH decided to put on more weight. I don't think a feud with Angle will help Edge's career at all. That's because I think Angle is not good enough a ME'er to help elevate and put over someone to make them a star. Don't get me wrong, Anglesault. I think Angle is a legit ME'er and the best worker in North America right now. However, I think his status in the company is such that no one can be elevated unless in a program with the 3 musketeers(Austin, HHH, or Rock). That status has been effected by lame feuds with Kane and now Edge. Plus Austin has ruined Angle's promos forever and now Angle can't get his angles or himself over because the crowd now waits for the pauses to "what" him instead of listen to his brilliant mic work.

I think he will get offense during the match. I think his offense during the feud will consist of him lighting Edge on fire (Edge retaliates by spearing him) shooting Edge (Edge retaliates by spearing him) and decapitating Edge (Edge retaliates by spearing him)

Austin did not always just run in and do a Stunner. Some times he didn't do a stunner. The times he did, it was more than just a run in. Some times he got him backstage. Some times he tricked him. There was SOMETHING to it. Edge just runs into matches and spears.

My problem with Edge's spear is that he is too thin for it to look effective, when Ryno or Goldberg hit someone it looked like it hurts, Edge's looks more like a hard takedown rather than a finisher IMO.

 

Plus the move is used by almost everyone on the roster to some degree.

Angle is in wrestling purgatory right now as I see it......here's why:

 

1. The main event is too crowded for him. Too many heels and too many dominant faces for him to go over cleanly against. Someone had to be depushed and it looks like Kurt and Y2J are first on the list.

 

2. Anyone he could feud with in the mid card is being protected too heavily right now. There's no way Angle could have a worthwhile feud with Edge, RVD, or even a face Benoit because the WWF is really high on those wrestlers. So as a result they wont allow Angle to beat them cleanly. The feuds also will suck because the wrestlers mentioned earlier are still a notch below Angle in popularity, with RVD the closest. So there's no way that the faces could go over cleanly against Angle.

 

3. The only other possibility for Angle is to have him feud with Low carders so that he can get clean wins. But does anyone wanna see Angle feud with the likes of the Hardyz, Godfather, or Rikishi? Suddenly that feud with Kane starts to look better huh?

 

The return of HHH and Hogan's rebirth have stunted the growth of "would be" main eventers like Jericho, Angle, Benoit and possibly someday RVD. Angle is in HELL right now, he has nowhere to go, and all roads point to him losing his heat. The only saving grace is the roster split, but even that I have doubts with. Angle needs a vacation. Two, maybe three months or so. Just long enough for Nash to screw up and get canned and for Hulkamania to wither away. Kurt can come back bigger and badder than ever, primed to take the belts away from HHH.

 

A feud with Edge will do nothing for either wrestler except fill time during a ppv.
