Please move the cruiserweights to raw!

I still don't understand the WWF's decision to put the cruisers on Smackdown where the bulk of the big names are.  It would have just been more logical to have them be with Flair on RAW and I think they should make the switch soon.  Just read the Smackdown spoilers.  There is barely any room to push this division beyond one match per week.  Jim Ross seemed to be pushing Raw with the concept of "wrestling" and there are enough entertaining big names on Smackdown to make that the sports entertainment focus of the brand extension.  The cruisers need to be on Raw and also have Heat.  Here is a way to make an angle out of such a move.

Rey Mysterio Jr. debuts on Smackdown and defeats Billy Kidman for the cruiserweight title.  Mysterio then shows up on Monday's RAW with the cruiserweight championship and cuts a promo about how Vince McMahon has never and will never respect the smaller men in the business and how he knows he can get that respect from Ric Flair.  Mysterio becomes the first defector in the brand extension wars.  The NWO then come down and Nash and Hall recall the good old days when they used to throw Mysterio around on Nitro like a human dart.  Nash then challenges Mysterio to a match for later in the show.  Ric Flair then appears on the Titan Tron and changes the match to a Cruiserweight Championship match between X Pac and Rey Mysterio Jr. which sees Rey Rey go over.

Meanwhile on Smackdown, the cruiserweight talent (Kidman, Tajiri, Hurricane and Funaki) demand that Vince McMahon rectify this situation and McMahon promises them that his attorneys are looking into the legalities of what Rey Mysterio Jr. did on Monday night and to rest assured that the cruiserweight championship will return to Smackdown.  As soon as the cruisers leave the room though, Vince tells who he's on the phone with that he could give a damn about the cruiserweights and their titles, he personally hasn't watched a light heavyweight match since Tiger Mask wrestled at MSG and Vince carries on with other business.

Meanwhile on RAW, a cruiser division begins to build around Mysterio.  Jamie Knoble and Shannon Moore debut. We are treated to a Mysterio/Jeff Hardy match week two into the division competing on RAW.

On Smackdown, the cruiserweight talent decide to organize a union to get out of their exclusive contracts with Smackdown.  Their representative is Dean Malenko who has an altercation with McMahon in his office.  Vince tells Malenko that he will grant Kidman, Tajiri and Funaki their wishes but they will have to win all three of their matches on tonight's Smackdown.

Funaki upsets Kurt Angle when Chris Jericho or Edge run into the ring and attack Funaki to purposely get Kurt disqualified.  Tajiri upsets Test and Billy Kidman defeats Christian and Hurricane outpowers the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry.

The cruisers are released and debut on the following week's Raw.  Everyone but Torrie Wilson who Vince forces to be his assistant Stacy Keibler's personal servent before he trades her for the Big Bossman who will become McMahon Security.

Yes, why don't we job Kurt to Funaki. If it allows Rey Mysterio to flip all over and culminate in an eyepoke, then so be it.

Angle losing to Funaki isn't jobbing Angle out, it's storyline development for Kurt's program whether it be against Edge or Jericho.  Funaki isn't pinning Angle clean and trust me the loss would get more of a laugh more than doing one bit of damage to Kurt's career and reputation.  For the love of God loosen up.  Wrestling is supposed to be fun.

Oh, jobbing to Funaki helps the Edge feud. That makes me feel SO MUCH better.

Look at it this way anglesault, if it's Edge costing Kurt the match, it's a weeks worth (and possibly a career's worth) of promo material as it would just be a constant joke and that's what Angle's heel persona is based on, being made fun of, do we really need his Ken Shamrock impersonation?

People, FLAIR DOESNT REALLY RUN RAW, AND VINCE DOESNT REALLY RUN SMACKDOWN, ITS A STORYLINE.

FLAIR ISNT REALLY 50% OWNER.

I see no upside. It keeps the Edge feud going, it brings the boring as all hell Crusiers onto my TV and there is no REAL upside for Angle. "Yay, he can be made fun of! More midcard feuds!"

But JerryDrake, FLAIR PAYED FOR THE NEW RAW SET!  HE SAID IT HIMSELF! WOOO!!!

Who are you telling it's a storyline too and where could I have possibly given you the impression that I believed Flair was 50% owner?  That was all storyline writing.

Eh, when Funaki, TAKA, and Helms were at the top of their game, they were better than Angle is now.

They still bore me. Nothing bores me more than flippy floppy cruiser offense.

Okay, anglesault, the following week on Smackdown, Hulk Hogan makes the mistake of poking fun of Angle's loss to Funaki the previous week and Angle snaps his ankle in half, making Hogan tap out brutha!!!!

If you were Vince would you now okay my storyline proposal???  HERE'S ONE BRIGHT SIDE!  Cruiserweights on RAW means more time Kurt on Smackdown!

And the next week on Smackdown, Kurt comes to the ring to his new entrance music, Real American.  Think Mr. Wonderful 2002!!!

Your personal disrespect and prejudice for a group of wrestlers (Funaki, flippity flop, have you seen him wrestle?) makes me wonder. Have you even seen a good amount of a guy like TAKA, Lynn, Rey, Juvi, or Helms who you seem to clump together as a bunch of ping pong balls? Do you even know what you're talking about or are you just so disgruntled with Angle?

I've seen enough matches that had three flips leading into an arm drag to decide "I don't like this" thank you very much.

It makes me wonder when anyone I encounter doesn't like Funaki.

It also makes me sad.

:(

And confused.

???

How can't you love Funaki?

???

Not to mention that without love ... Funaki is sad.

:(

I've never understood what there is to love about Funaki, he's like the most boring wrestler ever.  I mean, honestly, can he actually DO anything?

You know what bores me?  Seeing a certain someone whine about Angle in practically every.....single....thread.  I like Angle & think he's one of the top all-around performers in the fed, but geez...
