Guest Report post Posted April 3, 2002 -The show opens with a video package on Triple H/Cactus Jack "Street Fight". The video shows their lengthy history. A video airs on the Rumble and focuses on Big Show and The Rock. -Jim Ross and King are at ringside for tonight's PPV action. Hardcore Holly's music hits. He is coming to ringside with his cousin Crash for the Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship Match. Chyna comes to the ring with Miss Kitty. Jericho comes out last and notes that he doesn't have a manager with him, and mocks Crash and Kitty. MATCH 1: WWF Intercontinental Championship Match Triple Threat ©Chris Jericho def. Chyna and Hardcore Holly at 11:29 with the Walls of Jericho on Chyna. -At 5:18, Jericho kicks out of a Pedigree from Chyna. At 7:23, Holly powerbombs Chyna while she is on top of Jericho in the corner. Jericho breaks it up and scores a near fall with a DDT. At 8:45, Crash Holly hits a Hurracanrana on Jericho. Near fall for Hardcore. At 9:30, double superplex on Holly. All three down. Chyna scores a near fall with a DDT on Jericho at 10:43. Jericho charges, but gets backdropped out of the ring onto Crash by Chyna. Holly and Chyna stare down. They exchange right hands with Holly winning. Chyna reverses a whip. Handstand elbow stopped by Holly who clothlines her from behind. Holly puts Chyna ina Camel Clutch, but Jericho back in. Bulldog. Lionsault. Then puts Chyna in the WOJ for the win. -Michael Cole interviews Jericho at ringside, and Jericho tells Cole that he is the greatest wrestler in the WWF and that tonight, he will win the Royal Rumble and go on to WrestleMania. -Backstage, DX attacks Kanebaseball bats. Officials make the save, but Kane is hurt. -Triple H and Stephanie are sharing a special moment, when Mick Foley walks in. Foley tells Triple H that he better cherish these moments, because when he goes into that locker room, and puts on those boots, and that Wanted Dead or Alive shirt, and wraps his fists in barbed wire, that Mick Foley will no longer exist and Cactus Jack will be kicking his ass all over MSG. -Kurt Angle's music hits. He comes to ringside for his match with a mystery opponent. Angle gets on the mic and brags about being undefeated. Tazz's music hits. Angle charges him. MATCH 2: Tazz def. Kurt Angle at 2:01 with the Tazzmission. -Angle charges but gets a Tazzplex on the cement. Another Tazzplex on the cement. Tazz rolls him into the ring. Clothlines. German suplex from Tazz. Over head belly to belly. Angle is stumbling around the ring. Tazz with right hands into the corner. Whip across. Tazz misses a charge. Angle with an Olympic Slam. Tazz kicks out at 2. Angle is shocked. Tazz escapes another Olympic Slam, and nails a release Dragon Suplex. Angle gets up and stumbles right into the Tazzmission for the submission. -Post match, Tazz gets a mic and tells Angle that he ain't seen anythbing yet and neither has the WWF. "The mood is about to change." -Backstage, Test, D-Lo Brown, and Hardy Boyz are watching the tv getting changed. They remark on how impressive Tazz is. But the Hardyz have to focus on their own match tonight, the Tables match with the Dudleyz. -The Dudley Boyz are backstage, and Cole is interviewing them. They talk about ECW and getting extreme and showing the WWF what it is like... MATCH 3: Tag Team Tables Match The Dudley Boyz def. Hardy Boyz at 15:02 after a SuperPowerbomb from the car in the entrance way. -At 4:33, Matt Hardy goes through a table with 3-D, with a ladder's assistance. D-Von goes through a table after Jeff hits a Swanton Bomb through a table on the outside at 7:03. All 4 men go off two ladders in the ring through six tables on the outside at 10:44. The ref orders the match to continue. All 4 stay down. At 12:20, Jeff gets up first. He and Buh Buh grab chairs and exchange chair shots. Both men go back down, busted open. Matt sets up table below the entrance way and he and D-Von fight through the crowd and up to the entrance way. Buh Buh is up first and makes his way up there. They tease a powerbomb off, but Jeff gets up there to break it up. Matt with a low blow to Buh Buh and goes to throw him off to the tables set below. Buh Buh stops him and hip tosses him down through the tables. Buh Buh tells D-Von to set up another table below. Buh Buh powerbombs Jeff Hardy through two tables below for the win. -After the match, Terri comes out to help. The Dudley Boyz make their way back out and powerbomb her through a table in the ring. -Backstage, the girls were getting ready for their swimsuit competition. -Miss Kitty wins the swimsuit competition, because she wore plastic over her private parts. -DX is preparing themselves for their tag match. The Big Show is standing by with Kevin Kelley and he tells the world that he hates The Rock and he will not only win the Royal Rumble, but he will make sure The Rock never wrestles in one again. MATCH 4: WWF Tag Team Championship Match APA def. ©NAO at 634 when Bradshaw hits the Clothline From Hell. -At 5:43, X-Pac tries to make a run in, but Kane stops that. Kane, hobbling, scares X-Pac away. Gunn misses a top rope FameAsser to Farooq at 6:01. Farooq and Gunn both go over the top. Roadogg tries for a Pump Handle Slam. Bradshaw tosses him over. Roadogg ducks a Clothline from Hell and starts with the shake rattle and roll punches. He starts dancing and Bradshaw hits the Clothline from Hell for the pin. -The Rock is backstage and is with Cole. He promises that he will win the Royal Rumble. -Cactus Jack finishes lacing up his boots and leaves the locker room. Triple H gives an interview and asks Steph to stay back. MATCH 5: WWF Championship Match Street Fight © Triple H def. Cactus Jack at 31:52 after the refree stops the match when Cactus Jack cannot stand anymore. -At 14:34, Pedigree through the announce table. At 18:12, Cactus Jack hits a piledriver on a chair. At 22:33, Triple H powerbombs Catus Jack onto tacks. At 25:43, Jack hits an elbow from the top through the other announce table. At 28:10, Cactus Jack hits a double arm DDT onto a barbed wire bat. At 30:43, Triple H fights out of the Mandible Claw and hits two Pedigrees for near falls. He grabs the sledgehammer and starts drilling into Jack's legs and back. Hebner calls for the bell, when Jack cannot stand on either leg. Triple H blasts him with the sledgehammer while he was on his knees to knock him out after the match. -EMT's help Jack leave. -A video on the Royal Rumble.
