Guest chirs3 Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Because they're on different rosters. Edge is good in the ring. Not great. Not phenomenal. He's good. He's good on the mic. He is funny, more often than not, and when he gets the mic he can cut a decent promo. My only real problem with him is he lost the trenchcoat and sunglasses. He needs those back. Guest Singular Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Edge is terrible because he isn't funny? That really doesn't make sense. The split bombed. Yes it did. So did the Hardy's split. Edge is great with good opponents. Just because he can't carry everyone in the WWF doesn't mean he sucks. He's an upper mid-carder and is still better than most of the guys he wrestles, (with the exception of Angle of course). Why have Christian and Edge tag again? They are both doing fine in singles, and if you want to rejuvinate the tag division make some tag teams from the past. It would be easy with the current roster. Impact Players - What else is Justin going to do and I'm tired of seeing Lance Storm Job to everyone. Eddy and Chavo - I really liked their stuff in WCW Saturn and Raven - Or any incarnation of the Flock's members. Please use Steven Richards with Raven in any way possible. Billy and Chuck were thrown together with little background. Why not do the same for some more guys?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Because they're on different rosters. They are both on Smackdown.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted April 3, 2002 Edge is not really that terrible. He seems to be fine on his own. He just needs to establish some kind of character, as the WWF seems to have trouble deciding whether he should be goofy Edge, serious gothic Edge, a mix between the two, or whatever. Plus, he has been in some atrocious feuds, as the Christian one started hot, but was badly booked into oblivion, the Regal one stretched out way too long and was incredibly boring, and the Booker T one was over Japanese shampoo. I feel that his feud with Angle should certainly help Edge find some direction, and finally be able to get over as a singles star, for once.
Guest notJames Report post Posted April 3, 2002 I concur, although most people will complain that it's at the expense of Angle, who is apparently above all this.

Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted April 3, 2002 "Edge is just terrible right now..." Welcome to most of the WWF. "a) The Edge/Christian split angle bombed" Why did it bomb? I don't think I blame Edge or Christian exclusivley for this folly. "b) Edge is not funny by himself" Comedy characters are way too over rated. Unless your in Osaka Pro. Now comedy spots in matches that engage the fans are a positive. "c) Edge is average in the ring" Why so? He does all those great moves without putting any thought into them. But he still does them and the fans love to see them. "Why does anyone like him?" Probably because the WWF markets him as a way over babyface with his look and entrance music. Plus, he does all those new innovative moves that the WWF fans want to see, right? "More important, the tag team division is DEAD right now..." It was never really alive. Unless countless, un thoughtout TLC matches are your idea of a good tag division. "Why are Edge and Christian not together again?" I have a better question for you, why don't *you* like Edge? You seem to not give any real reason. Point A involved an angle that you didn't personally like. If I didn't like every angle involving my favorite wrestlers, I think I wouldn't be a fan right now. Point B is about his mic skills or lack of comedy, which is only part of the actual sports entertainment process. Point C you just say he is average without poiting out any of his flaws. Guest muzanisa Report post Posted April 3, 2002 The reason I don't rate Edge at the moment is because Edge and Christian were such a great team. The 5 second poses and the cheap heat stuff used to crack me up. The stuff with Foley, Angle and HHH was brilliant. Everyone expected Christian to be the Marty Janetty of the team and I think he's surpassed expectations without blowing anyone away. But if Christian was Janetty that means Edge was Michaels. Which means he's disappointed. The Edge Christian feud was horrible (and blown off way too quickly), The Regal thing sucked (Didn't Regal get his job back because of the fantastic matches he was having specifically Benoit at the Pillman show?) and the Booker T feud was over Shampoo. That being said E&C had great matches, Christian has had okay matches and Edge matches have tended to be boring. His character comes across as annoying and juvenile now where it used to be funny and wiseass, but with a underlying thread of dumbness that offset the nastiness. I'd like to see E&C together again but don't think they'd single handedly revive the division. The only time WWF has ever had a good division was late 80's with Hart Foundation, Bulldogs, Demolition, Tully and Arn, Rockers, Killer Bees, Rogaeus etc. and maybe three of those teams were great but there were so many that it never got stale.
