Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 WWE RAW House Show Results From Nashville, TN (9/12/03) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reported by Steve Fox on September 14, 2003 Thanks to Michael Mills for the following report: Coach opened the show as he would be the MC for the whole night, playing the normal role of "The Fink." D-Von/Spike vs. Rene Dupre/Rob Conway - Winners: D-Von/Spike The first match is the D-Von and Spike vs. the team of Rene Dupre and Rob Conway. The match went over great live and the Nashville crowd ate it up. Spike told D-Von to get the tables, unfortunately the table's leg broke so Spike improvised and sat it up in the corner and threw Rob Conway into the table, smashing it to bits. Spike and D-Von won the match and got a BIG BIG pop from the crowd. Up next was the Highlight Reel w/ Chris Jericho. The crowd, as they did in Memphis, ate up this segment, and in natural heel fashion, Jericho got all over the Nashville crowd. His guest was Stacy Keibler. When she came to the ring, Jericho asked her to go back out of the ring and then come back in - this obviously got a big pop from the fans. Val Venis would later come out but that didn't sit well with Test. Test came out to pull Stacy out of the ring which was greeted by many boos. Jindrak/Cade vs. Richards/Rico - Winners: Jindrak/Cade The next match was Mark Jindrak/Garrison Cade vs. Steven Richards and Rico. Rico played his "sexually misunderstood" role very well and at one point even grabbed Coach's ass when the opponents were being announced. The crowd was into this match and the when came with Garrison Cade hit a finisher with the help of Jindrak. Rodney Mack/Mark Henry vs. Hurricane/Rosey - Winners: Rodney Mack/Mark Henry Next was the tag team of Rodney Mack/Mark Henry vs. Hurricane/S.H.I.T. Teddy Long came out telling the Nashville crowd that whether they like it or not, they back the black man. He said because we are in Tennessee, our football team, the Titans, is lead by a black quarterback and a black running back - believe dat' playa! The crowd was into this match for the most part, though the enthusiasm died quickly. Obviously a lot of "BIG GUY" moves in this one with some long slow periods to allow a better build-up for the ending. The end came when Mark Henry slammed Hurricane for the win. After the match, Rosey got back in the ring and held Hurricane's hand up. Womens Championship: Molly Holly© vs. Trish Stratus - Winner: Molly Holly© The next match was for the Women's Championship w/ Molly Holly facing off against Trish Stratus. Not too long of a match with Molly getting the win. Afterwards, Coach told Trish that she had no talent and just simply could not wrestle...After she left to the back, he got back on the mic and said...Sorry, but it's true! Tommy Dreamer vs. Lance Storm - Winner: Lance Storm Three different people's music hit until finally, Dreamer just came out. The Nashville crowd didn't really pop whatsoever, except for some of the old-school hardcore ECW fans. As a small ECW chant began to rise, Dreamer quickly grabbed a mic and spoke his mind to the Nashville crowd. Dreamer stated that he really appreciated the fans...and them cheering for him. He then said they must be stupid because they were chanting ECW...ECW...ECW at a WWE show. He said he doesn't appreciate that and neither does the WWE. He then went on to bash the fans and thus show his new heel turn. Lance Storm came out to boring chants so there was really no face in this match, so to speak. The win came win Lance Storm hit his finisher, and then celebrated by dancing in the middle of the ring. 3-Way Intercontinental Championship: Christian© vs. Val Venis vs. Chris Jericho - Winner: Christian© Now it was time for the Intercontinental match with Christian facing off against Jericho and Val Venis. After some close pinfalls and Val almost getting the win, Jericho stumbled outside, Val Venis got back in the ring and was greeted with an Un-prettier by Christian. 1...2....3 - Your winner is Christian! Goldberg/Maven vs. Triple H/Orton - Winners: Goldberg/Maven It was now time for the co main-event, a match that was changed from Goldberg vs. Triple H to a tag match of Goldberg/Maven vs. Orton/Triple H w/ Flair at ring side. Orton was introduced and really was not over with the crowd at all. Up next was Triple H and he got some great heat. Believe it or not, this guy really does bust his ass at house shows as I have witnessed it twice in as many weeks. The chants of Goldberg....Goldberg....Goldberg....started but he would be introduced last. Out next was Maven who was greeted by some big cheers and really seemed to be liked by the Nashville crowd. As Maven stood, waiting for Goldberg to come out, Triple H got on the mic. Triple H warned Maven that he was in for a tough time, and he recommended Maven go to the back, pack his bags, leave the arena, get in his car and just go home - because Triple H would end him. He went on to talk about how bad he beat up Goldberg and that Goldberg wasn't going to save him...because Goldberg wouldn't show up. Seconds later, his music hits and Goldberg comes out to a THUNDEROUS round of applause from the fans. Goldberg and Maven exchanged some last minute plans and off we go. It started with Maven vs. Triple H as it became real technical real fast with some submissions, leg holds, and arm holds. Triple H and Orton continued to double-team on Maven for almost the whole match. Maven finally got more offense in and just as it looked as if he was done, he hit a beautiful enziguri on Triple H. The crowd was livid as both wrestlers made their way to each corner for a HOT HOT HOT tag to Goldberg and Orton. Goldberg dominated Orton and eventually got him up for the Jackhammer as Triple H stood on the ring apron as an onlooker to what his future might hold at Unforgiven. After the slam, Goldberg covered for the 1...2...3... Your winners are Maven & Goldberg. After the match, Maven and Goldberg were slow to leave the ring as the applause kept coming. Maven talked to some fans and shook a lot of hands and hugged some more Nashville fans. Goldberg even went as far as to lift a child up in the air playfully, and continue to greet and celebrate with fans as he headed to the back. Kane vs. RVD (Steel Cage Match) - Winner: RVD The final match of the night was Kane vs. RVD in a steel cage match. Basically the same match on Raw with RVD picking up the win. As Kane was upset, he decided to chokeslam Coach who was the special guest referee. As he left, the crowd continued to cheer and he went back in for a final chokeslam on Coach. Your winner: RVD All in all, it was a pretty good show and had a little more to offer but was probably a notch behind the Memphis show which had Michaels, Austin, and others on the card. Biggest Pops: Goldberg D-Von & Spike RVD Hurricane/S.H.I.T Maven Stacy Keibler Biggest Heat: Jericho Triple H/Flair Kane Coach La Resistance (Rene Dupre and Rob Conway) there are additional ones but the net isn't working for the page so I will add them later. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted September 15, 2003 Raw and Smackdown WWE Smackdown House Show Results From Richmond, VA (9/14/03) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reported by Steve Fox on September 15, 2003 Thanks to Mike Mahoney, Jr. for the following report: Very poor crowd with barely the main level off the floor 25% full. Plenty of ringside seats were unfilled, and no one was in the upper level. I saw no one really buying merchandise either (and the Zack Gowen shirt were collecting dust), so that will be way down. They brought the pyro back on the house show. Sorry I didn't write down the finishing moves on some of the matches. 1. WWE cruiserweight title: Misterio b Tajiri ** 1/2 They worked a fast paced match and Rey worked with a West Coast Pop from the standing position. Tajiri kicked Rey in the head after the match. 2. A-Train-O'Haire b Spanky-London * 1/4 No one knew who London was (no could you really hear it on the p.a. system)but got into some of his offense. If they were smart they would put Spanky and London together as a underneath babyface tag team (idea from one of my friends who attended). 3. Matt Hardy w/ Moore b Orlando Jordan * 1/2 No heat for this match, because people want to cheer Matt (who turned the crowd in his pre match mic work) and boo Jordan, so why they don't turn both of them (nuff said). Matt won with twist if fate. 4. Funaki b Nuzio * Nothing much here, as I saw people leaving during this match. My other buddy also fell asleep during this match. 5. Bikini challenge W/ Funaki as special MC: Torrie b Sable, Dawn, and Nidia. Torrie did receive the loudest pop. All wore thong bikinis except Nidia. Sable DQ'ed Nidia because she had boob pads in her bra, and Nidia ran away. Sable clitheslined both Torrie and Dawn after the match, then a cat fight started. Some ringside "doctor" got into the ring to help Dawn with her "injuried" ankle. Then both of them took off his shirt (I went blind due to his flabby flesh) and gave him a lap dance of sorts, to Trish Stratus ring enterance theme no doubt. 6. Bashams w/ Shenqua b Knoble-Kidman * 1/2 The guys behind me were going crazy over Linda Miles behind. Fans still don't accept Knoble as a babyface, because when he tried to get the crowd going during Bashams getting heat on Kidman, no one cared. Knoble and Kidman should both be heels, and work Spanky and London (now thats money). 7. 3 way dance for WWE US title: Guerrero b Benoit and Cena ** 3/4 Cena put down Richmond in his pre match mic work and was quite entertaining (in also putting down all the local teams). Great match but way too short. Guerrero pinned Cena after a belt shot and frog splash. Dean Malenko watched the match from the dressing room. Match way too short. 8. WWE Tag title: WGTT b APA ** Not as good as some of their tv matches, but the crowd was into the near falls. Finish saw fat Bradshaw give the clothesline from hell on Benjamin, but Hass hit him with the belt for the pin. 9. WWE title Angle b Lesner via tap out ** 1/2 Very slow paced mtch with alot of rest hold and very little action (saving themselves for 9/16). Lots of boring chants during this match to the point that the crowd poped for a arm bar by Angle. Angle won with the ankle lock. After the match Lesner was in the ring holding his knee and the doc, refs, and everyone came out. He was in the ring for almost 10 mins until he got up under his own power and slowly walked back to the back. Don't know how serious it was, but he was down for awhile. ----------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to Chad Messer for the following report: The show started with Coach coming down, saying that he and Eric Bischoff had decided to hake the Asheville show exciting, he himself would be the special ring announcer (and bell-ringer, and timekeeper, and ShopZone shill) (1) Hurricane & Rosey beat Tommy Dreamer & Steven Richards (w/Victoria). Dreamer came out and cut a promo talking about ECW's history in Asheville and he blamed the crowd for screwing up his legacy. He then called out his special partner Stevie Richards, and I swear that the crowd actually groaned. Hurricane and Rosey came out to a good pop. Back and forth with Hurricane taking the beatings only to have Rosey clean house. Hurricane and Rosey get the win. (2) Lance Storm beat Rico (w/Miss Jackie). Rico came out to a dud reaction, but people cheered Jackie's ta ta's. Lance came out to the Raw theme (I smell new theme music if he ever gets another TV match). The crowd was into Storm's offense, but I guess if you want to get a guy over in NC, have him beat up a horrible gay stereotype. Sigh. Lance wins with a superkick. Triple H hit the ring next and talked (and talked and talked) about how Stone Cold had set up a match between himself, Flair and Orton for the strap, but in Austin's absence he was going to let the rest of Evolution decide who would lay down for the duke. Flair got the mic and said that in Asheville, he had no intention of lying down for anyone. He then called out the champ for later in the night to a huge pop. Trips accepted and left, huffy. (3) Rodney Mack & Mark Henry (w/Theodore Long) soundly beat Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade. Henry got the pinfall. The crowd didn't care all that much. Jindrak looked huge, though and his power moves got oohs and aahs. (4) Maven in a small shocker over Test (w/ Stacy Keibler). The match was good, with Maven actually looking like he knew his stuff. The crowd played to Stacy the whole time and Maven got the surprise win, after which he gave Stacy the mic and let her tell the crowd that it was time she shook her ass. I almost died laughing to see men 18 to 80 shove their women out of the way to rush the rail to get a Polaroid of her left ass cheek. Test stopped the dance and ran off with his gal pal. (5) Christian beat Val Venis and Chris Jericho in a three-way for the IC Championship when Christian pinned Val. Val played the face, but Jericho was way over with the crowd, even after he called us Asheville Ashe-holes. One of the longer matches, with everyone hitting their highspots. Christian got the pin on Val when Jericho was on the outside. (6) Molly Holly pinned Trish Stratus with a handful of tights to retain the Women's Championship. The traditional bathroom break match. The crown had a certain fondness for Trish, but Molly won with a handful of tights. (7) Dudley Boyz beat Rene Dupree & Rob Conway in a Tables Match. You know the drill. You've seen it before. Bubba takes a lot of abuse, D-Von chants U-S-A, U-S-A, Bubba makes the tag, the Dudleys clean house, hit the Whazzup, call for tables. It seems that one of the Dudleys is about to be hoist on his own pitard but the other one moves the table, and we are treated to a thunderous 3-D. It was funny that the match ended with Dupree taking one of those top-rope powerbombs through the table, you know, the ones usually saved for the wrestlers with breasts. Other than Rikishi. (8) Triple H beat Ric Flair for the World Heavyweight Championship. In NC, it's against the law for Flair to not play the face. He came out first, and played to the crowd, followed by Triple H (with Randy Orton in tow). Flair said that to even the odds, he was bringing out his own corner man. Out came Arn Anderson to a madhouse pop. Flair took some verbal shots at "wet behind the ears" Orton and namedropped famous names from Asheville's past, like Wahoo, Blackjack, and Steamboat. Flair got in a lot of offense early before the champ came back, eventually locking on the figure-four. The crowd hated this and went wild as Flair made his comeback, eventually landing the figure-four himself. We had near-falls galore until the ref was distracted and Orton ran in and hit the RKO on Naitch. Arn then came in and hit Orton with a DEVASTATING spinebuster. The crowd went ape s**t. In the confusion, Triple H nailed Flair with the championship belt and got the pinfall. 10-minute intermission (9) Rob Van Dam beat Kane in a Cage Match by escaping over the top. This was anti-climactic, coming after the Nature Boy and all, but it was a solid match with Kane carrying most of the offense. Near-falls after a Five Star and a chokeslam off the top rope, but RVD wound up going over he top of the cage for the win. Kane stayed a while and grabbed the mic for the whole "don't laugh at me" promo, which came off pretty good. Biggest Pops 1. Arn Anderson's spinebuster. Damn, that was a loud reaction. 2. Ric Flair's entrance, complete with Four Horsemen salute 3. The Hurricane - we always cheer loud for the North Carolinians on the roster. Most Heat 1. Triple H using the figure-four 2. Flair getting pinned 3. Renee Dupree and Rob Conway. All in all a good show, a solid 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon. It was nice to hear Tommy Dreamer and (especially) Ric Flair mention their history in the Asheville Civic Center, although I'm glad he didn't mention the Black Scorpion incident. The place was maybe two-thirds full, and that was with piss-poor local promotion.
