RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 (in Andrew's Storyteller Voice) "Pre-vee-ose-ly on Re-construct-ing Xand-iare" Xander: Yeah, we were pretty close when I was younger. It was kinda odd how he left the store to me though - we kinda grew apart. Rebecca: That's the same way with me and my brother - Jonathon. Xander: Jonathon? Your brothers name was Jonathon? And he lived in Sunnydale? Rebecca: Yeah, do you know him? Xander: Was he a short lil guy, high pitched voice, his name was Jonathon and he lived in Sun..... um... did I mention he was short? Rebecca: Yeah, that's him. You know him? Xander: ... Erurheheh... I think I went to school with him.... Rebecca: So you know where he is? Xander: .... Rebecca: Do you? Xander: ..... No. I haven't seen him since High School. Sorry. Rebecca: Oh... it's just... my mother is really worried about him... he got kindof strange there after high school and just disappeared... Xander: Well... if I hear anything... I have friends in California... I'll let you know... Rebecca: Thanks... I'm Rebecca by the way. Xander: I'm Xander. Rebecca: See you around Xander. I might just need your help sometime... Xander: See you Rebecca, I hope you don't... need my help... cause tha would mean... something would be... broken... *pause* *crowd laughs* Rebecca: Yeah, see ya. Xander: Later... wait... no... I need to think of a clever saying now that I own this Hardware Store... gimmie a sec... *pause* Xander: Ok, got it! "and remember, just because the name is Harris Hardware, doesn't mean we don't make it easy." Huh? Huh? Rebecca: See you later Harris... *Rebecca walks out* *Xander takes a moment of reflection* *The Dark Figure is now down the stairs and looking at Xander.* *Xander takes his pricing gun and continues marking prices down* Xander: I wonder if I could get a pricing crossbow... *crowd laughs* *Xander turns around and bumps into the Dark figure: he yells and the dark figure falls down* Xander: A bringer! The first is back! NO! *starts shooting the pricing gun* *crowd laughs* Xander: Blast! Stupid gun. *runs and picks up Axe* Xander: He swings it and completely misses the dark figure and the axe gets stuck in the ground* Xander: Blast! Stupid depth perception! *crowd laughs* *Xander picks the dark figure up and is ready to punch him when the dark figure takes off its good and reveals itself as Andrew* Andrew: NO NO NO NO NO! Xander! Xander: Andrew?! Andrew: Yes, it's me... don't.. don't punch me... my nose bleeds easily. *crowd laughs* Xander: Andrew, what are you doing here?! Andrew: You mean here in New York, or "here" in some sort of metaphysical, philosophical question.... cause I don't really know an answer for either. *crowd laughs* Xander: Wha? New York. What are you doing here? Andrew: Why are you mad at me? I thought you'd be happy to see me. Xander: Sorry... I got kind of rattled there... I am happy to see you... I just thought, with all the slayers... and in Rome... Andrew: Yeah, well, that was going really good until... Anya showed up. Xander: Anya? Anya's alive??! Andrew: ... sssorta. Xander: Where, where is she?? Andrew: Um, that's a lil harder to answer. Xander: Andrew, get straight with me or I will punch you -. Andrew: - She's me. Xander: Whosawhatsitnow? Andrew: At least, I think she is.. I dunno, it's all very confusing, I don't know where to stop. Xander: Well, start at the beginning... seems like the logical place.. Andrew: Well, ok... Anya died... saving my life. Xander: Yeah, this I know. Maybe you should start at the beginning of whatever this is happened to you. Andrew: Well, then a week or two ago I was partying it up with some ladies when all of a sudden I changed. I, I don't know what happened but all of a sudden everything went blank and I woke up the next day in the forest with some Euros in one hand and dead bunnies in another. I went to Mr. Giles and he couldn't explain it.. then it happened again while he was there and he said that Anya was back and she wanted to see you and thats all she would say. I didn't know what to do, I tried to just ignore it, but I kept getting this feeling to come and see you so... here I am and... *morphs into Anya* *Xander jumps back and screams* Anya: I just had to see you and whoa what am I doing in this cloak? Xander: Anya?! Anya: Xander! *They hug* Xander: You, you, you died. *they pull apart* Anya: Sorta. Xander: And you're back, now. Anya: Yeah. Xander: Um.. any explanation? Anya: ... I didn't want to leave so soon. Xander: Oh... you can do that? Pick and choose and stuff? Anya: Um... I dunno, it's a lil foggy on the details... but I got to come back... Xander: In Andrews body? Anya: Yep, lil nerd owed me one. Xander: This is very confusing. *Anya sighs* Anya: You know how I saved Andrews life? Well, when I died - and since I died heroically and whatnot saving the world against the first evil - they gave me a choice. I could come back or stay there... where ever there was... it kinda smelled like shrimp... but anyways, I chose to come back because I hardly earned enough money. See, there's no money after you die, so... I came back. And since I saved Andrews life, until they find a suitable vessel for me to permenantly meld into, I get to share this thing, cloak and all... Xander: Doesn't Andrew get a say in all of this? Anya: No. See, he's still gotta pay off killin that lil buddy of his, so this is part of his repayment plan... Xander: And you can come and go whenever you want? Anya: Not really. It's a matter of will power. If I want to become human bad enough, I get the body. If he does, he gets it. That's why I'm here and he's not. I had to see you Xander. You'd be the only one who would understand..
Anya 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Watching Hells bells is brutal. I just watched it on the DVD and it's 10 times worse now that I know what happens next year. I don't care if she comes back in Andrew's body or what, Anya just needs to come back.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Ok, so this has always bugged me. When Willow calls Osiris after Tara is shot, and he refuses to raise Tara, does Willow kill him, or suck his power, or what?

Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 I agree with Mole. I never saw the whole episode, and all I heard about it around here was how terrible it was and how it went against the whole show and stuff. But then I finally got a chance to watch it, and it was a damn good episode. Also, something they said in the commentary caught my ears- what would have happened if this had been the last episode of the season? (Not that I would want it to be, the season ended great.) How would the fans liked it if Normal Again was the season 6 cliffhanger?
Mole 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Hate? I thought people liked that episode around here? I remember a while back everyone was flaming it. what would have happened if this had been the last episode of the season? (Not that I would want it to be, the season ended great.) How would the fans liked it if Normal Again was the season 6 cliffhanger? That would have been a great/crazy/piss-me-off-so-fuckin-much cliffhanger. A lot of these commentaries suck too. "Bargaining Pt 1&2" and "Hell's Bells" are just sooo boring. Hell, there are two of them and they pause every two seconds. No one beats Joss in a commentary. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 What happened in Normal Again? While fighting a demon Buffy get's stuck by his spike and starts having halucinations that she's really in a mental institution and that everything was just a delusion. Her mom is still alive and still with her dad...Dawn doesn't exist...and she's not a slayer. In the delusion the doctors tell her to rid herself of the fake memories. So Buffy ties up everyone in the basement and tries to release a demon on them. Luckily she snaps out of it before it's too late and the episode ends with a shot of Buffy in the mental institution all zoned out while the doctors say she's totally out of it. LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Oh, right, where they implied the whole universe was a delusion. I didn't like it because of that.

Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Well, for Bargaining being a 1.5 hour commentary, I thought Fury & Marti were enjoyable. I'd rather hear some pauses with long pieces of commentary rather than short quips every second. And I remember on the "Waiting in the Wings" commentary, didn't Joss just stop talking after Groo arrived? I really like the "Grave" commentary with Fury & Contner, by the way. Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 The Normal Again commentary blew. It was like Jane Espenson squared.
Anya 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Reasons to hate Normal Again... 1. The idea that Buffy had told her parents about the vamps and was sent to an institution was weaksauce. 2. The portrayal of a mental institution and how a doctor handles someone with schizophrenia was really goofy and lame. 3. No Anya. Having watched season 6 again I hate season 7 more than I did before. I'm really depressed after watching all the Xander/Anya ship stuff post Hells Bells. It's worse now than the first time around cause of sesaon 7. I need to watch season 5 again to get cheered up. I really wish I could like wipe my memory of Chosen! It hurts my enjoyment of other eps because I can't stop thinking about that dumbass Bringer cutting An down. Maybe watching Triange will help. Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Hey, Drew Z. Greenberg's commentary on "Smashed" is pretty awesome. It's probably the best one in the set after Joss'. From the four I've seen, I'd rank them as: 1. Joss - OMWF 2. Drew - Smashed 3. Fury & Contner - Grave 4. Fury & Marti - Bargaining And from what I've heard you guys say, Hell's Bells and Normal Again commentaries suck, so I'm not going to leap right into those. And for anyone that has Region 2 DVDs (reekspeak?) what are the commentaries for Angel season 4/Buffy season 7 and how are they? I know Drew Goddard does like 5 commentaries, and the actors are a part of them this time (something they should've done a while ago)
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 I want that Xander sitcom on tv stat!!! Brilliant work, kudos. although this discredits my idea of anya coming back as a lovedetecting machine simpsons fans only apply to that joke How about a Lorne show where he is a judge on an american idol ripoff show or how about he replaces (in character) randy jackson on idol next season? btw I watched the season one episode with the asian lady from another dimension or sometin and the best part is Angel thinking about dancing with the lady at the party. or when wes slips on coffee beans I cant decide. Or when wes tries to pick up on the alien chicks. and man it's weird to see wuss wesley in the first season after what he became in season 4 . but he was much more funny as the nerd. Angel quote of the day from the above mentioned episode ( I don't recall the name do you guys?) "Angel: Would you like a job? Wesley: Oh yes please. Cordy: huh? Angel: well if you do your part around here, you deserve a cut. Cordy: Do I have to take a pay cut? Angel:No Cordy: Great idea. Guest reekspeak Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Season 4 of Angel has the Joss and Alexis commentary for 'Spin the Bottle', my favourite in any Buffy/Angel boxset. It's light in tone but at the same time, they do go into details, it's pretty much perfect. There's a commentary with Andy for 'The House Always Wins' and a good commentary for 'Apocaypse Nowish'. Apart from that, the rest are a blur. I only picked up Season 7 of Buffy this past Thursday and the only commentaries I've listened to are 'Selfless' and 'Dirty Girls', the latter with Nick Brendon which I liked. Guest reekspeak Report post Posted May 29, 2004 Commentary on 'The House Always Wins' by David Fury and Andy Hallett Commentary on 'Spin The Bottle' by Joss Whedon and Alexis Denisof Commentary on 'Apocalypse, Nowish' by Vern Gillum and Steven DeKnight Commentary on 'Orpheus' by Terrence O'Hara and Jeffrey Bell Commentary on 'Inside Out' by Steven Deknight Commentary on 'The Magic Bullet' by Jeffrey Bell Commentary on 'Home' by Time Minear That's the Angel commentary list, thinking back I remember 'Home' having a great commentary too.
