IWS - UnFuckingSanctioned

::copied and pasted from a post I made at another site::

Ok, this isn't going to be much in the results realm, but more of thoughts on the show. If you want for results wait for the Llakor dude, ha.

Last night I made the hour and a half trek to downtown Montreal to catch my second IWS show (the first being "Scarred 4 Life.") The directions we got sucked major dong, so we got a little lost. Lucky for us it wasn't very hard to miss a buch of crazy fucks with lighttubes, and we found the place after 15 or so minutes of wandering through the city.

We get in the building and tried to find the seats reserved for me, but couldn't find them at first. It's kind of hard to see a little paper that says "Reserved for MacheteOfOdin," but after a couple minutes of searching we found them.

I don't remember when exactly, but Dan (AnerkistsXe...I probably butchered the spelling, but you know who I'm talking about, haha) finally made his way over to find his seat. Apparently we got to sit in the stupid american section which consisted of only four people. hahaha.

Anyway, onto the show.

First match saw the return of Steve RoooOOOOYYYYYDS against Iceberg. Pretty entertaining match. There was a couple sick as chair shots. Royds won, but I don't remember how, haha. (Like I said, the results are going to be much).

Next was Onyx vs. Sexxxy Eddy. Very entertaining match. I couldn't really see anything because Meez was standing up the whole time, and the camera guy wouldn't fucking move. I tried to start a "We can't see shit" chant, but only 5 other people went a long with it. Onyx won, and went to shake Eddy's hand....but then BAM an Onyx Heel Turn. Done very well I might add. Sure it was cliche, but it got the job done.

Up next we saw XES 69 vs. Kevin Steene. Steene basically got shit on right when he came out. No one gave a fuck, but I gave him a little golf clap. By the end of the match though, he got the respect of almost every mother fucker in there. Excellent chain wrestling mixed with some very innovative spots. XES 69 won. The sickest part of the match was when Steene attacked XES after the match by throwing XES into the ropes where he got his head stuck between them. This was followed by two brutal fucking chairshots.

Next came the 4 way SLI tag match. The teams were SLI (I can't spell it out, just know that it's the Angry Aryans' Separatist gimmick), the Latinos, the Flying Hurricanes, and Extreme Revolution. Words cannot describe this match...but I'll try anyways. Here are some highlights:

an 8 man submission move (with, yes, armbars B-) ).

an 8 man suplex

the stereotypical "everyone do a crazy move onto everyone else" spot on the outside (I don't care if it's stereotypical, it's fucking entertaining, haha).

Lots more...that just seemed to escape me. In the end Extreme Revolution won. Awesome match.

After this was Kid Kamikaze and Kurt Lauderdale vs. Beef Wellington and Pierre Carl Ouelett (yes, the Quebecer :) ). Excellent match, but unfortunately the crowd was kind of dead after the last match. Some sick spots:

PCO doing multiple ultra stiff chops on KK.

PCO doing a flip dive (I don't know the "proper term") to the outside.

Beef Wellington giving Kid Kamikaze a Jay Driller through a table.

In the end Beef and PCO won.

Ok, now came a match with one of the sickest things I've ever seen. The match was El Generico vs. Arsenal. The match was fucking great all the way through...then something happened. I still can't believe it, but holy fucking christ. Arsenal and El Generico battle out into the crowd. Then they start going towards the stairs. All of a sudden 4 table prop up in front of me directly below a 20 - 25 foot balcony. Suddenly I hear the fans in the balcony seats cheering. All of a sudden I see Arsenal and El Generico fighting on the edge of the balcony. I try to start a "Please Don't Die" chant, but no one cares. It's going back and forth until Arsenal takes the upper hand. He lifts EG up into a DVD, and HOLY FUCK!!! A DVD OFF A 20 foot balcony through 4 tables. This was the spot of the fucking night. Pure insanity. Needless to say Arsenal won. Both men got mad props for that. After the show I saw Arsenal, pointed at him and just said "You Sick Fuck." I think he took that as a compliment.

Now the final match of the night. The Fans Bring the Weapons match. It was the Hardcore Ninjaz vs. Green Phantom and a "mystery partner" with PCP Crazy F'n Manny as the ref. Green Phantom said he didn't need a partner but President Seska said he did, so he asked Manny, who, without hesitation said yes. This was Manny's first match back since February. Instead of listing all the spots I'll just say it involved a shit load of light tubes. It was fucking insane. In the end Green Phantom and Manny won.

Overall, an awesome show. I suggest everyone get it when it comes out on DVD or VHS. I also highly suggest everyone try to make it to at least one IWS show before you die. Awesome experience, excellent matches, and lesbians, lesbians, LESBIANS!!!! :D

Sounds knuckin' futs.

Llakor should have his results up soon, I'm guessing. I'm chatting with him, and he's saying that there were four matches that could have been MOTN, and that Fans Bring The Sharp Objects wasn't one of them.

Must have been a great show.

I'm not the one who wrote this, but here's another account of the show from the CZWFans board:

That show was better than any CZW, XPW, NWA Wildside, NWA-TNA, and hell even half the ROH shows out there!

First off all the crowd was so fucking insane (600+ people) and hot that it was ridiculous. The ONLY problem with the show was that there was too many promos (which invariably led to the show being a tad too long) but not one is complaining thats for FN sure!

Opening match was great for what it was and Fred La Merveille is an ABSOLUTE phenomenon. He is so charismatic it is scary, not only that but as a 'heel' he's probably the most over babyface in the company!

Second match of the night was Onyx Eddy match which I unofrtunately didnt catch all of but the heat in this match as well as the bump at the end when Onyx turned heel, was incredible. Great workers so I can only assume that it was a great match as everyone said it was.

Third was the SLI Invitational Tag Match (a 4-way elimination match featuring SLI, Flying Hurricanes, Extreme Revolution, and Latino Connection) This is the best scramble match I have EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! Holy crap non-stop action man it was so great to watch and I couldnt stop marking out! Crazy Crusher on the Top rope hit a rana on Kenny (also on the the top rope) to the outside onto the guys on the outside!!!! That was infuckingsane!

Next came a clinic and a half in Kevin Steen vs. Exess 69. Anyone who says anything about the actual wrestling quality of the IWS should watch this because they will quickly be silenced. This match was so good on so many levels especailly because these are probably the two best WRESTLERS in Quebec. I loved this match MOTY candidate.

The next match was Kurt Lauderdale and Kid Kamikaze vs. Beef Wellington and PIERRE CARL OUELLETE. PCO did not dissapoint. All 4 men delivered and there was still a lot of heat considering at hsi point the show had already hit the 3 hour mark. Insane highlights including an E.Coli on the table from Beef onto Kid K as well PCO's cannonball over the top rope onto Kurt through a table was insane! good heat for this match and much props to PCO for going all out for the IWS. He worked hard even when he probably didnt have to. Great job.

Next came the IWS Title match which saw The Arsenal defend his newly won starp against El Generico. Highlights included a springboard sommersault van terminator by Generico onto The Arsenal as well as Arsenal's famous DVD2K1 onto two open chairs that barely gave at all, and of course the spot most everyone will remember...A DVD OFF A 25 FOOT BALCONY THROUGH 5 TABLES!!! This was insane and the teased it the whole way up there. It was scary as hell to be a part of but it was also nice as hell because it was an actual DVD (performed identically to how it would be done in the ring) and not a sloppy version a la Zandig's "modified" muthafuckin bomb of the balcony) SICK!

Finally the main event was the FBTW match. SIIIIIIIIIIIIICK SICK SICK! Never have I seen so much broken shit in the ring but there was actual spots, great wrestling moves (performed with the weapons) and I cant believe Im saying this about a FBTW match but even a touch of psycholgy (the Ninja breaking the Cactus by accidnt on his partner thing was GOLD!!)

ALL I CAN SAY IS GET THE MUTHAFUCKING DVD RIGHT AWAY. I know this one is coming out real soon so I suggest you get your hanbds on it right away. Brand new IWS Hardcore Heat DVD just came out to I reccomend checking that out too.

All in all this is the show that CEMENTED the IWS's place as one of the top 3 feds in North America. Don't believe me, get the tape and find out for yourself! You can get the tape/DVD from their site directly at www.SYNDICATEWRESTLING.COM

-On a side note, I just ordered IWS Hardcore Heat from my buddy Emo (at emaxwrestlingtapes.com- If you want ROH but don't want to order from RF, he has masters for only 13 dollars) and I'm pushing that up my list for review at TSM.

I definitely should mention how great the crowd was. They are extremely respectful to the wrestlers (only 2 "You Fucked Up" chants, one of which was so comedic that it wasn't even disrespectful), they are hot as hell (both in the loudness, and the fact that a lot of the women in Montreal are smoking), and they actually keep the mark facade. Sure they'll give props to both wrestlers when it's all said and done, but when someone is a heel, they get treated as such. Something I can't say for the CZW and ROH crowds. I'm not saying they are bad crowds, but it seems like they all want to be "in the know." It's really fun yelling at the ref for a slow count, and booing a heel out of a building. I just wish other crowds would feel that way.

(the Ninja breaking the Cactus by accidnt on his partner thing was GOLD!!)

That was the incident where the "non disrespectful 'you fucked up'" chant happened. I don't think it was planned to happen, but one Ninja was lifting the cactus over the rope, the other one was a little to close and he got hit. The one that got his "sold it" and the one that did the deed "sold it" as well by stomping around and kicking the ropes. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. It was kind of like the original use of the "You Fucked Up" chant, when one wrestler "accidentally" hit his partner, or his opponent moved out of the way while coming off the top rope with a move.

--edit--

Also, I was very tired when I wrote the initial message in this thread, so if it doesn't make sense, or the grammar is horrible, that is my excuse.

An IWS Press Release

*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

Capacity Crowd Cheer their Hardcore Hero to Victory

The Green Phantom, with some rather unexpected help, beat the Hardcore Ninjaz and survived the annual Fans Bring the Weapons Match to retain his IWS tag team title in front of close to a thousand fans crammed into the beautiful downtown Medley. This concluded a historic Un F’N Sanctioned show that has already been described on independent wrestling sites in Quebec (like http://www.lewebzine.net) as the best wrestling show held in Quebec this year.

With opening band Tantrumn’s “IWS Theme” still ringing in the ears of the fans, the Natural Superstar Steve Royds made his triumphant return to the IWS, beating the 275 pound Iceberg in 3:02. After Steve’s victory, the leader of le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, Fred le Merveille, made his way to the ring to protest Steve speaking English when he is obviously a francophone. Fred announced that he had decided to add a fourth member to le Syndicat de Lutte Internet and he offered the spot to Steve Royds. After consulting the crowd, Steve rejected Fred’s offer with an authoritative clothesline. Fortunately for Fred, he was rescued by the newest member of le SLI, Quebec wrestling legend Marc le Grizzly. He and Steve brawled to the back leaving Fred sprawled in the ring. The IWS’ sexy nurse showed up to provide Fred with the breath of life, but Fred rejected her tender mercies once he found out she spoke no French.

Arguments are already raging as to which match at Un F’N sanctioned was the best with four different matches already being cited not just as match of the night but as candidates for Canadian match of the year.

The first of these matches was the confrontation between two former IWS champions and crowd favourites, Dru Onyx and the Triple X “Sex XXXpress” Sexxxy Eddy. Onyx riled up the crowd by interrupting a strip tease being performed by Eddy and two of his female co-stars, and verbally assaulting Eddy for not taking wrestling seriously enough. During the hard-hitting combat that followed both men had chances to win, but Eddy’s resiliency and speed overcame Dru Onyx’ frightening power when Eddy got the flash pin with the “Total Sexxxtacy” reverse springboard shooting star press at 10:00. After the match, in a show of sportsmanship, Dru Onyx held up Eddy’s hand up in victory for the crowd... only to ambush Eddy with a Spear and then horrifying the crowd by power bombing Eddy out of the ring and on to the entrance ramp, folding up Eddy like a human accordion. While the crowd voiced their displeasure, Dru Onyx showed his contempt for them, for his fallen opponent and for the niceties of civilized behaviour by using the crumpled Eddy as a human footstool while the Bajan Bomber retied his wrestling boots.

The SLI Invitational turned into a four team elimination match when the Flying Hurricanes, Los Latinos and Xtreme Revolution all answered Viking Voisine and Damian Dion’s open challenge. In the process, the match became an open invitation for the crowd to get to their feet and stay there as the eight men electrified the packed crowd with a fast-paced and insane scramble highlighted by an eight man submission chain, a picture perfect four way suplex and an astonishing Super FrankenSteiner to the outside by Crazy Crusher that turned Kenny the Bastard into a human missile. The Flying Hurricanes eliminated Los Latinos after 12:35 when Takao power bombed his own partner, Kenny the Bastard, onto the Latino Kid. The Flying Hurricanes were eliminated in turn by le Syndicat de Lutte Internet when Viking and Damian combined to level Takao with a “Tueur des Policiers” at 13:16. Xtreme Revolution won the SLI invitational at 14:02 when Crazy Crusher and Nightmare Manson combined to hit Damian with their Revolutionizer vertaebreaker.

After the match, IWS Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris came to the ring to praise Xtreme Revolution and name them number one contenders to the IWS tag team titles. Don Francesco stormed out to protest this decision and his boys, Tomassino and Eric Mastrocola, laid out Xtreme Revolution before dragging the Commissioner to the back to teach him some respect.

Two men frequently described as the best wrestlers in Quebec, Kevin Steen and EXcesS69 put on a wrestling clinic during UnF’NSanctioned, delivering a match that succeeded at being technical without being boring and being hard core without using weapons. EXcesS69 won after reversing a running kick into a surprise roll-up after 16:01. Kevin Steen reacted poorly to the loss, throwing EXcesS69 into the ropes in such a way that EXcesS69 ended up in a life threatening hangman position. Rather than rescuing his fellow wrestler from this precarious predicament, Kevin Steen grabbed a chair and delivered a thunderous chair shot to the defenceless EXcesS69, who had to be carried to the back by IWS officials.

IWS owner Carol Cox celebrated her birthday during Un F’N Sanctioned. Her in-ring celebrations were cut short, however, when IWS champion Arsenal and his manager TV’s Iron Mike Patterson crashed the party. After humiliating Carol and ruining a designer dress, Arsenal and Iron Mike Patterson began threatening physical violence to the IWS owner when PCP Crazy F’N Manny hit the ring to chase them off. Manny announced that he would be acting as guest referee in the Fans Bring the Weapons main event, because he was the only man crazy enough to do it.

Pierre Carl Ouellet demonstrated why he is considered an icon in Quebec wrestling as he partnered with Beef Wellington against Career Killer Kurt Lauderdale and Kid Kamikaze. Beef was isolated for most of the match before Pierre Carl Ouellet broke out a somersault plancha to help turn the tide and save his partner. PCO then neutralized the threat of Kurt Lauderdale, flipping from the top rope to the outside, through Kurt and a table. Beef Wellington made his own contribution to his team’s success putting his treacherous former partner, Kid Kamikaze, through a table with the E. Coli straight jacket pile driver. Beef and PCO won the match after 19:49 when Beef flipped PCO off the top rope onto Kurt Lauderdale with the move that helped PCO win three WWF tag team titles.

El Generico came heartbreakingly close to winning the IWS title in a match that cemented El Generico’s reputation as one of the best and most charismatic wrestlers in Quebec, and furthered the Arsenal’s already considerable reputation as pound for pound, the most mean, twisted, vicious sociopath in the wrestling industry. Frustrated at his inability to pin the courageous El Generico, and irritated by how close the Tijuana native had already come to stealing his precious IWS title, the Arsenal lured El Generico out of the ring. The two men brawled to the upper floor of the Medley where the Arsenal ambushed El Generico and used a Death Valley Driver over the railing through five tables to knock out the Latin Luchador. Iron Mike Patterson and the Arsenal carried El Generico back to the ring for the pin fall at 23:27.

While Montreal band InVeigh played their new “Theme to Fans Bring the Weapons”, IWS officials handed out safety goggles and face masks to prepare the crowd for the most ultra violent match in Quebec, a match that only happens once a year. And just like a demented Christmas, the fans had brought gifts including, amongst many others, a barbed wire Babar, a light tube log cabin, a potted cactus made from green light tubes and thumb tacks, a light tube skate board, a barbed wire child seat, a light tube machine gun, two light tube light sabers, a television set, and that most deadly of weapons... a ham.

Before the match started, IWS President Seska demanded that the Green Phantom name the man that he had chosen to temporarily replace his partner EXcesS69. The Green Phantom protested that there wasn’t any one in the IWS crazy enough or hardcore enough to be his partner in an environment like Fans Bring the Weapons, at which point PCP Crazy F’N Manny threw off his referee shirt and for one night, Green Drugs was reunited.

Words can not describe the hellish insanity that ensued. Suffice it to say that within mere minutes, the Hardcore Ninjaz manager, Iron Mike Patterson, the referee for the match, Mop, and the replacement referee, senior IWS official Peanut were all unconscious. The sole remaining IWS referee, Bakais, took one look at the ring and fled for his life. And the competitors were just warming up. Ultimately, a match like Fans Bring the Weapons is not so much won as survived. In the end, the Green Phantom, the IWS Hardcore Hero, was the last man standing after both Hardcore Ninjaz missed with a weapons added top rope Pearl Harbour leg drop. The Green Phantom took quick advantage to Phantasm one groggy Ninja onto another and cover for the pin as Bakais ducked out from hiding to make the count at 17:39.

The IWS presents Blood, Sweat and Beers scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, at Le Skratch, 965 Cure Labelle, Chomedey, Laval, Québec. Doors open at 8:30 pm. Tickets are twelve dollars.
