Guest Mole Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I have heard that Taijri was going to turn heel soon. That would be good for his character, but he would need to get rid of Torrie Wilson. Maybe if WWF does sign Great Muta, him and Taijri could team up.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I really don't see the point in signing Mutoh, since the Muta gimick would just get the same treatment that Tajiri got when he entered the promotion. A Tajiri heel-turn might help give the little tike some momentum, but I think he's been jobbed too much to salvage much at this point, unless they're serious about the junior division, which would be perfect for him. In that case, Torrie could reveal lingering feelings for her old flame, Kidman, and he and Taj could feud over it. Hey, it's not much, but it's better than whatever the hell Tajiri is doing right now, eh?
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I would let Tajiri and Muta feud if he gets signed.
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I agree with Ricky, much as cool as it would be. He seems to be jobbed...
Guest claydude14 Report post Posted April 4, 2002 *spoiler alert* tajiri lost the belt to kidman on smack, then cut a pretty long promo on torri cuz she cost him the match. we were all confused (i was at smack) so everyone WHATed it to seriously wonder what the hell he was saying. first time a what chant has made sense. im pretty sure he came out heel, unless they play a heart broken tajiri angle. but he had to old ECW tajiri pissed off face on
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I would let Tajiri and Muta feud if he gets signed. What's the point of bringing in Muta if you're just going to book him against a jobber right away? Besides, Keji Mutoh is bald now, which will hurt the gimick. The hair and face paint go hand in hand. Anyway, it seems like my predictions sort of correct in that a Tajiri/Torrie/Kidman love triangle could be forming. Hopefully the interview wasn't a total train wreck.
Guest claydude14 Report post Posted April 4, 2002 i forgot to mention, of course, that the entire promo is in japanese
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Wasn't Tajiri a heel is ECW? I always liked him in ECW, so I would like him as a heel. His style (stiff kicks) is best if used by a heel.

He was a heel until he broke away from "The Network" and started teaming with Mikey. I think his style works for a face or heel, but at this point the only cure for how lame his character has gotten is to turn him into a nasty foreigner heel. Guest Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I am a huge Tajiri fan and I can basically agree with everyone on this board that the WWF has done horrible things to Tajiri's credability(not the first time they ruined someone), but I think that in the cruiserweight division, most of the guys are either not used or jobbed out as well, so it won't be impossible for Tajiri to build himself back up. I personally do not like Tajiri's all good guy gimmick. Even when he was with Mikey Whipwreck in ECW as a face, he always had an "evil aura"(can't describe it any better)to him. He used the Mist, which is a heel tactic. He could either go to that heelish-face gimmick or the complete heel gimmick in my opinion. Of course, there was the completely face Yoshihiro Tajiri who feuded with Super Crazy, but as we all know, you can't get by on just amazing wrestling ability any more. Guest TheMikeSC Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Well, since the WWF has basically wasted the heat he had back in August or so, a heel turn might be the only answer right now. Amazing that the WWF could blow it so badly, as he is one of the few cruisers whose basic moveset looks like it could legitimately hurt a heavyweight. -=Mike
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Well, since the WWF has basically wasted the heat he had back in August or so, a heel turn might be the only answer right now. Yeah, it's weird. Usually, when they put someone with a hot chick, it helps them out, but Torrie has been dragging him down since the summer. I don't think Tajiri needed her, though. He was getting along fine by himself.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted April 4, 2002 its gonna be hard to make him a heel in the WWF because they either rely on mic work or menacing looks, and i dont think fans are gonna buy his looks
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 4, 2002 If he goes out and kills Cruiserweights with his kicks, he could get over.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Turning him heel is probably the only way to get him over at this point. I mean whatever heat he had in the summer and fall is totally gone now. Hard to believe this guy was the U.S. Champ for awhile. They just need to feed him the likes of Maven and other cruisers. Just let him unleash those kicks and see what happens. And I hope the Great Muta stays far away from the WWF. I don't want to see Vince piss all over his career like he has with Page and everyone else that used to work for WCW. Guest Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Tajiri is doing just fine as a mid card face right now. A heel turn wouldn't work because to be a succesful heel in the WWF right now you have to have the mic skills to back it up. Being a heel is MUCH harder than being a face. It doesn't take much for fans to cheer for any face, but it takes a lot more for fans to go out of there way to boo the heel.

The only wins he ever gets are against guys on the early card. Whenever he faces anyone who is anywhere near the midcard, they job him. And they are usually guys who aren't over, like Test. In my opinion, he definitely needs some sort of a change.
Guest X-Factor Corperation Report post Posted April 4, 2002 I dunno. A heel turn isn't nessesary as they have the hurricane and funaki.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 4, 2002 If he goes out and kills Cruiserweights with his kicks, he could get over. I agree that his kicks if played up by WWF can get him over again. However i don't think they should only have him destroy cruisers with the kicks. From time to time they should put him in a situation where we can kick the shit out of a few big guys . Not matches persay. Like doing the typical big guy bullies the "midgets" to get tv time skit. But instead of Tajiri just rolling over he destroys him with a kick. Sure not many big names would agree but they could find someone.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 4, 2002 A heel turn would be good, I think...let Tajiri be more vicious and sadistic. Plus I'm glad Kidman has returned, he's not the best CW but he always works hard.
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Tajiri worked well as a heel in ECW. He looked like the sort of guy who'd kick the shit out of someone for no reason, If they keep the cruisers from being killed by the big guys then I think it will do him the world of good to go back to the old persona. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 4, 2002 At least the writing team is coming up for something with Tajiri. Also, at least they are having some character development in the cruiserweight division. Hopefully they will give it some kind of a chance. Give Tajiri an evil manager. Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Even when he was with Mikey Whipwreck in ECW as a face, he always had an "evil aura"(can't describe it any better)to him. Weren't they supposed to be heels? I thought they were managed by the Sinister Minister (or whatever the hell they called him) and thus were supposed to be heels ... but how can you really hate Mikey and Tajiri? Speaking of the Sinister Minister (or James Vandenburg), why doesn't the WWF bring him in? I know they're not too keen on male managers, but he rocked. Put him with someone who has that somewhat "evil aura" and have him cut wicked promos ... it might work.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 4, 2002 Well, Mysterio will be a good fit for a feud. Eddie should teach him some Rudo ring work so he can get over better.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Tajiri needs to be heel to generate something resembling heat
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted April 5, 2002 I think turning Tajiri heel is a good thing because it implies that they might actually be doing something with him. Even if that's just a short feud with Kidman over the CW belt (and Torrie?) before becoming a jobber again, at least it's a temporary change from being a jobber. Guest Nater Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Who are the current cruiserweight heels besides X-Pacc? ... anybody?
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted April 5, 2002 Oh the conflicts.... The only heel crusier that have is X-Pac, but he won't be working with any crusiers so that kinda negates him. Did you read his interview on WWF.com? I'm sure we'll see him ME soon, probably taking over programs they had Nash slated for. X-Pac vs Big Show....oh the possibilities..... Also, turning Tajiri heel is like what the WWF did with RVD. It's not like turning somebody who sucks heel, Tajiri's offence is probably the most entertaining to watch in the fed, next only to RVD. If they are going to do it they'll most likely do what they do when they're out of options: Beat up the hometown boy in their hometown or have him start kicking women's asses...
