Mole 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I got this from 411Mania: The Rock has been revealing on various media appearances that he will shoot Spy Hunter next. The film will be based on the video game which was about a man named Alec Sects who fights spies using his high tech car. Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (2 Fast 2 Furious) are writng the script. Production will begin in spring of 2004 for a 2005 release. The Rock is also attached to star in Walking Tall. He's got some great momentum building with the good reviews Rundown is getting (I haven't seen it yet, but it looks very good). Maybe I'm wrong, but I see this Spy Hunter movie bombing. However, a Spyhunter based movie is basically a blank canvas since the game gives them little to work with. So I suppose it's possible to pull a decent movie out of it. They seem very intent on making a cool movie and taking the "spy hunter" concept literally.
