Guest What?!

Faces: Rock and Austin

Heels: Angle and Undertaker

Order of HHH burying them:

Angle - Already did it

Undertaker - Will use the "He's an old man, so noone is going to believe he'll beat me"

Austin - Will use "Austin's good, but he's getting up there, I should go over him. Twice."

Rock - Since this is Vince's possible long term money maker, HHH has to create some master plan to do in Rocky

But HHH's master plans rarely work. Or is that Vince's plans?

What would you call this federation if it had these four guys you just named?  If I had Austin, Rock, RVD, Angle, Triple H, and Benoit......I think I would name the new fed Extreme World Championship Wrestling.  I don't know why, but maybe it's because I would give ECW and WCW some value after Vince ruined them.....

ECW still has quite a bit of value, I'd say.

Three for each is a much better number, so I'll screw with the rules.

The Rock

Kurt Angle (Yes, you read right)

Rob Van Dam

Top Heels:

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Chris Benoit

Tajiri

RVD (Austin doesn't have much time left)

Heels:

Angle (Obvious reasons)

HHH (if he loses weight and will agree to job, if not then Jericho, I guess)

Rock

RVD

Angle

Jericho

Rock's a media crossover, Angle's a sports crossover, RVD's exiting and brings something different, Jericho just too well rounded to pass up. Sorry Benoit.

My reasons are pretty much the same as Brian's. The Rock can be your golden boy with the attention he can get from mainstream media. If Angle went to the Olympics again and won Gold, he gives you legit cred. As he isn't just an entertainer.

"Tazmission, what's you order of burial?"

No one would get buried because my fed would run correctly. No one's perfect, so that's not a bitch about the McMahons, because for the most part, they've done a great job, as seen in their millions of scrilla dollars. Veterans and top guys would get more say than those below them, but the would not be allowed "Creative Control" clauses and they would not sit in on booking meetings, unless their matches needed to be discussed. That isn't a knock on Triple H, whom I feel is sometimes unjustly blamed for the shit that goes down. I feel more contempt towards Hogan, Nash, and X-Pac than HHH and Hall, because 1) HHH and Hall can still work a good match, and 2) they don't really hold people down, they just get their hands dirty when getting to the top. The only person that Triple H has held down at all would be Chris Jericho, but I still think he got pretty damn far, and it's sort of strange that these horror stories didn't start until he lost the Title. Sorry, I went on a bit of a rant.

Oh, yeah, the reasons for each guy...

Faces:

Rock is a huge star, and is a consummate pro, as well as healthy. He's never really been hurt, and he'll lay down whenever you want him to. I loved Angle's face character before they tried to make him cool, and I'd have him be a heroic dork that doesn't cuss or drink or anything like that. I'd try to keep him on his own, so he wouldn't be "influenced" by the other faces that do that stuff. Rob Van Dam is a natural good guy, but I would make sure he worked on his mic skills and technical skills before he gets pushed high.

Heels:

Stone Cold is awesome as a heel, and he would play the character he was playing after WrestleMania X7 until about Judgement Day, only against guys that are...you know...good. Chris Benoit is great as a sadistic heel, and I would keep him silent for the most part. The same goes for Tajiri, who would be crippling people with the Octopus and blinding people with mist.

If my fed had a mirror a past era, it would be sort of like late 80's NWA. You know, Rock vs Austin would rival Flair vs Funk; Angle vs Tajiri would rival Sting vs Muta; Van Dam vs Benoit would rival Steamboat vs Luger.

Faces:

Ricky Steamboat; He always gave 100 percent and i cant even remember him as a heel; the consumate professional in and out of the ring.

Hulk Hogan; The guys got charisma and has got the ability to gain large amount fans in a short amount of time; Probably the greatest face in the history of professional wrestling.

Dusty Rhodes; The common man's wrestler; wrestlings version of Bruce Springstien, pretty good wrestler too!

Heels:

Ric Flair; You cant have a heel face match that you want to go exactly "Textbook" without this man in the eqaution. The guy can make anybody look good, even Vince Mcmahon!

Rick Rude; My all time favorite Heel, the guy oozes heel heat. No one will ever cheer him, he's just the textbook version of todays modern day heels.

Curt Hennig; can carry a good match and keep the fans interest, thats all a heel needs to do essientally, just keep the fans interest until the big blowoff.

"ECW still has quite a bit of value, I'd say."

It has ZERO value, from a Kayfabe or real world aspect.  The name ECW means nothing on TV.  It won't sell PPV's or increase TV ratings.

The only thing of value is the tape library, but I even question how much that is really worth.

Faces

------

The Rock - He draws like a motherfucker, he's great on the mic, and good in the ring.

Rob Van Dam - Given the right push (and improvement on the mic), he could be very very big.

Heels

------

Kurt Angle - Excellent on the mic, in the ring, and a better heel than face.

Chris Jericho - With his larger-than-life-living-legend gimmick (before Stephanie), he was, I think, the ideal heel.

I cant keep it down to 2 although that I suspect was the point of the post.

faces:

HBK at his peak, could carry a good match, take a beating, even though he could be an asshole. fuck it he rules.

Steamboat circa 89 would most definately rock it.

Cactus Jack during his ECW stint, how could you not include him.

Mikey Whiperack, I might take some heat for this one but Mikey is the greatest anti hero wrestler of all time. Hes really solid in the ring, and I love his persona.

Heels:

Flair in his mid 80's to late 80's form, any fed could be built around some classic Flair/Steamboat matches.

Jericho, I'd make him an ultra heel who fucks with the fans etc... and backs it up in the ring.

I'd chose Tajiri and Benoit to round it out as my two monster heels. Build them up to be truly dangerous.

I'd build the fed around a Flair/Steamboat, Jericho/HBK, and Cactus Jack and Mikey Whiperack/Tajiri and Benoit feuds.

blah.

Jericho and HBK would feud.

Cactus and Tajiri

Babyfaces

1.) Steve Corino

2.) Rob Van Dam

Heels

1.) Val Venis

2.) Disqo Inferno

Now, let me explain. Val Venis & Disqo Inferno are both tremendous wrestlers, they have just been stuck in a black hole gimmick wise. I believe that both men have "the look" and with the correct push & gimmick, I know that they could draw.

As for my "babyfaces," I think that Steve Corino is the most underrated wrestling in the business today. He reminds me of a combination of Ric Flair & Shawn Micheals. A lot of people may think that I am being too kind, but it is just how I feel. He loves to bleed, and that can add much drama to a match. I also love his ringwork and style. Rob Van Dam reminds me of old Intercontinental Heavyweight Champions. He reminds me of Ricky Steamboat and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He has the charisma, but needs to work on his mic skills a little bit. Of course, seeing as how I would be the one building the promotion, promos wouldn't be that important. They would still occur, just only after a heel massacre or a babyface retaliation.

Then I look at the match-ups that these men could have. A Steve Corino/Disqo Inferno match could be very good. Both men are about the same size, and are capable of doing almost anything in the ring, with the exception of lucha libre. These would be my main eventers. Val Venis & RVD also seem to be about the same build. They would be the perfect men to build an IC title division around in my eyes.

Steve Corino would come to the ring by himself, and would be a DDP type face, as in he's always injured but keeps fighting. He would also be the HBK type "babyface" where he is always the underdog.

Disqo would be booked somewhat like a vicious Honky Tonk Man. He would also "attempt" to injure a top "babyface." During title reigns, he would have a "faction" to make sure that the title stayed where it belongs. Sort of like the nWo w/ Hogan or the IV Horsemen w/ Flair.

Rob Van Dam would be like he is now. He is capable of getting the fans to their feet with in ring work alone. I would love to see RVD vs. Val Venis in an "old school" type cage. The kind of Cage where both me have to be in the ring with the cage lowered over them. No door. The big blue ladder looking cage.

Val Venis would be like an evil Jimmy Snuka style wise, but moreso like Rick Rude. He has to cheat, even if he already has a match won. He would cheat against Barry Horowitz, just because he likes too.

That's the way I see it.
