Hogan on atlanta radio

Recommended Posts

Guest Ripper

Hogan was on 99x this morning in Atlanta and one of the guys asked about Scott Hall.

The DJ said that seeing as Hall has been a cancer in lockerrooms for over a decade, how much hate is being directed towards him in the WWF locker room today.

Hogan said that although a leopard never changes it's spots, the guys in the back know about all that and he wouldn't be able to get away with it even if he did try to do anything now.

He also said that while Scott Hall had a problem with alcohol in the past, since he got custody of his kids he has been taking that drug that makes you violently ill if you consume alcohol so that he will stay clean.

edit: sorry about the confusion

How is he a hypocrite?  He just said that Hall has been a cancer in the locker room and the Wrestlers know that so they won't let him get away with stuff he got away with in WCW.  What do you want him to do, lie and say "Scott Hall wouldn't do anything bad backstage, he's completely changed and everyone knows that."?

For two reasons-

1. Hogan is far more of a politician and "locker room cancer" than Hall ever has been.

2. Hogan was right behind Hall when the three of them came in together. Now he dosn't need him anymore, he is quite happy to criticise him.

I don't want Hogan to lie, I just don't see the need to say how much everyone hates Hall. If you'd asked him a few months ago, he *would* have said Hall was a changed man.

When I read back over I see that I was a little unclear...The DJ said that hall had been a cancer in the locker room for over 10 years and he couldn't see how him being in the WWF locker room was a "a powder keg ready to explode"... It kinda looks like I was saying hogan said it...sorry.

But doesn't the fact that Scott Hall is on this drug to prevent him from drinking alchol kinda sihot on all those, "'HALL DRINKING AGAIN" headlines that "sources" keep telling the internet writers.

What a bitchass mother fucker.

That's part of the reason WCW died. Their employees were allowed to run around and publicly bitch about stuff going on inside the company. It's no one's business what goes on in the WWF, and for Hogan to say something like that about somebody under WWF contract is pure bullshit. Hogan was a crackhead, but he never mentioned that, did he? Hogan was a politician, where does he speak of that? No where, because he's an idiot. Fuck Hogan. Fuck him for pulling this shit wherever he goes, and shame on Vince for letting this happen.

Shame on him for what???  The caller asked how much heat he's getting backstage and Hogan said that if he hasn't changed then the other wrestlers will stop him from pulling any shit backstage.  He also said that Hall is on a drug stopping him from being able to drink alcahol.

Ripper - Edit the first post so that people know that it was the caller saying the first thing.

OR maybe he has the drug but isn't taking them.  Meltzer reported it, as well as Keller, so those two mostly reasonable sources is enough for me.

Hmm. Sorry if I misread that first post that caused me to berate Hogan because of my blind rage. It felt good though, and I still mean the parts that actually have to do with anything.

Hogan is not a hypocrite.  From all reports he has been cordial and friendly to everyone in the locker room.  Hall pissed off the people the day he arrived, and Nash is a lazy sack of shit who is already playing politics.

I say good for Hall.  He seems to be busting his ass since returning.  He worked the double the number of shows last month that he was obligated to, and if he is staying sober then we should all cut him some slack.

He wasn't "obligated" to work anywhere near a full schedule. Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle work full schedules. If it is so big fo Hall to work a half assed schedule and he should be praised, I think Angle and Jericho should be rewarded for working a full schedule and the HunterHearstDepushes that are in effect on them should be repealed.

There's a difference though, Hall has a kid to look after on his own.  If Jericho had a kid to look after on his own do you really think he'd be working a full schedule - I doubt it.

How old is the kid?

And you know what? I think Hall should make a decision. Does he want to Stay home and Play "Daddy" or come to work and play "Let's destroy the business>"

I don't know how old the kid is, maybe someone else does.

You can't be serious in saying that Hall should make a choise between the WWF and the kid?  Hall wants to look after the kid because he worked a long time to get the rights to look after the kid.  He can't just give the kid up and stay in the WWF.  But he shouldn't have to give Wrestling up either.

Oh hell yeah I do.

Hall wants to look after the kid because he worked a long time to get the rights to look after the kid.

Hall won the rights to this kid? He was deamed a better parent than his spouse? Who the hell was he married too? Charles Manson?

He can't just give the kid up and stay in the WWF.  But he shouldn't have to give Wrestling up either.

Hire a nanny! Bring him and leave him with one of the ladies during his match! The point is, with the money Scott Hall makes he should be working a full schedule.

Vince AGREED to the reduced schedule for Hall.  His contract says he only has to work a certain amount of dates.  If Hall is taking it upon himself to work more than that, then he should be commended.  Imagine that, Hall being a company man. :D

Hall getting attacked again. Let's have something new please. I don't see anything wrong with what Hogan said. He was just stating what was happening and why. Hall was perfectly fine working in Japan when Vince called him. He stated how his schedule had to go or he wouldn't sign. He has a legitimate reason for the schedule he asked for. Nash is a different story and HE STILL complains about working. He has worked less than even friggin Hogan. He works one match with Rock and hurts himself. Rag on this guy, not Hall who at least goes out there and puts in effort. About him getting custody, don't you think that a judge would know the REAL Scott Hall personal situation instead of us who read the damn internet national enquirer rumours?

I admire Scott Hall as of late, and he's really proven himself so far. He is still my favorite wrestler of all time. People should stop ragging on his problems just because of the way he sold Austin's WrestleMania stunner alone. That was beautiful.

Rag on Nash for not ever wanting to work. Rag on Hogan for lying low right now and playing nice, before he comes back and bites everyone in the ass, like he did in the Bischoff Russo Era. Remember that? He was cool with everyone, laid down for Kidman, then BOOM, he started being a bitch again. Just wait. It'll happen pretty soon.

Sheesh, no second chances for Hall?

He is still one talented wrestler, very much like Austin but with more psychology.

Isnt it a proven fact that Hogan doesnt know what he's talking about anymore? Case in point, after the Russo incident when being interviewed he couldnt recall what nWo spelled out. Senile maybe?

What I don't get is, why would you guys its easier to assume that Hall isn't taking the drug that he takes so he can have custody of his son just so it would make a couple of internet reporters right? It has come painfully apparent that outside of contract negotiations and signings, they are basically running on guess work and second(maybe even 3rd or 4th) hand info which could have easily have come from someone with bad intentions towards said wrestler.

I'm having serious trouble taking internet wrestling news seriously when they can't even post correct spoilers for Smackdown tapings.  Like, wouldn't you want to actually verify some information before putting it up as news?

Shut up.  In WCW people have said that he was fine with everyone until Russo told him that he didn't want him around anymore.  He was going to job to Jarret but then Russo said that he didn't want him on TV anymore after that.  Hogan said that if he found something for him to do after BATB then he'd job.  But Russo wouldn't.

Wait until Hogan does something like that first.  He's been fine with everyone so far, in fact he's been way better backstage than Scott Hall has been and i've been defending Scott Hall.
