Statement from Kevin Nash

April 3, 2002

 

Tuesday night in Birmingham, I had surgery to repair a torn right bicep, suffered eight days earlier on RAW. The 90-minute surgery was performed by my main-man Dr. James Andrews and was a success. Andrews has done my last four operations, by the way. Thanks. I am now back home in Atlanta.

 

Now to set the record straight, I had an MRI on March 26th in Philadelphia, performed on the middle of the bicep. It showed a deep bruise. I had a second MRI performed yesterday, April 2nd, in Birmingham. It showed a ruptured bicep tendon. That meant it had to be repaired by Andrews.

 

For all you smart marks who think I won't be back, think again. I won't be gone for good until you drive a stake through my heart.

He drew in WCW when he was in the nWo and when he was in the Wolfpac'.  And he drew for a while in 99 and 2000.

 

The WWF has just used him wrong.  He could do well for them if they use him right when he comes back.

Hall has been excellent so far in my eyes, and Nash has been awesome on the mic. In the ring, Nash sucks worse than a buck-toothed hooker trying to get through nursing school, so I think that if he does come back, it should be as a manager. At least he's out of the main event scene for a little while.

Reportedly he will be out a few weeks, and then get back on TV in some form of non-wrestling role (yeah, what a stretch) while the boo-boo heals.

 

Of course, knowing he gets paid even when he's injured, he might milk it for all it's worth.

Not to defend Nash, because he's an ass, but I have to somewhat agree that they used him wrong.  They brought him in and he didn't get to wrestle at WM18 because they were holding him out in case Scott Hall couldn't go.  

 

Then they start a feud with Rock/Hogan and since they got drafted to different shows, that feud was dropped after a couple matches.

 

Next they try and put him and the NWO against Kane, which of course was doomed to fail.  His micwork wasn't bad and anytime I can hear that it hurts him deep down to be called Big Daddy Bitch, I wanna see that as an upper card feud and see the Rock come up with even more creative putdowns.
